Chateau Haut Tropchaud - Der absolute Geheimtipp aus Pomerol, auf dem Plateau gelegen und damit Nachbar von Le Pin. L’Evangile. Vieux Chateau Certan und Petrus.

Auch im jüngsten verfügbaren Jahrgang 2020 ist der Haut Tropchaud eine wirkliche Perle des Pomerol Plateau. Für mich unterscheidet sich der JG 2020 beim Haut Tropchaud vom 2019er Haut Tropchaud in seiner Intensität. Seine Frucht ist noch eine Nuance tiefer und schwarzbeeriger als beim verführerischen Vorgänger. Auch seine Tanninstruktur weisst eine kompaktere Struktur auf, alles in allem würde ich sagen, dass der JG 2020 bei Haut Tropchaud die bisherige Spitze des Schaffens ist. Den Wein verfolge ich nun schon über ein halbes Jahr, in gewissen Abständen nach seiner Ankunft im September 2022. Zunächst brauchte er mindestens 2 Tage um zu seiner gewohnten Tiefe und Leichtigkeit zu gelangen. Doch jetzt rückt alles immer mehr an den Rechten Platz, man hat fast das Gefühl der Haut Tropchaud 2020 hat Platz genommen um Sie auf eine Genussreise mitzunehmen die Sie für diesen unverschämt charmanten Preis in Pomerol kein zweites Mal erfahren werden.

Im Prinzip gilt die Verkostungsnotiz und Beschreibung des 2019er Haut Tropchaud auch für den 2020iger nur im direkten Vergleich mit einer Spur mehr halt....
Dunkles dichtes Rot mit violetten Reflexen, in der Nase Holunder, Johannisbeere, Kirschen in allen Schattierungen, aber auch Himbeere. Im Antrunk unglaublich präsent, hohe Dichte, die Säure ist perfekt eingebunden, alles wirkt sofort perfekt proportioniert. Aromatisch unglaublich präsent. Schwarzkirche, Johannisbeere und Brombeere, der Haut Tropchaud ist aber nicht überladen oder sperrig, man kann ihn kaum ausspucken. Die Umamiwürze zwingt einen förmlich zum trinken und das selbst in diesem Stadium der Fassprobe! Sofort geht einem ein Lächeln durchs Gesicht, der pure Hedonismus, dabei lang und mit der richtigen Portion Würze und Mineralik. Wieder wird diese extrem hohe Balance deutlich. Das Kaufmuss aus diesem Jahrgang, der archetypische Pomerol überhaupt. Unglaublich schön, balanciert und lecker und wieder lecker, so muss ein Pomerol sein! Pomerol ist Genuss ohne jegliche Reue, viel mehr als man das in den anderen Appellationen Bordeauxs finden kann. Wer großen Bordeaux trinken will und Spaß haben will ist beim Chateau Haut Tropchaud Pomerol genau richtig!

Johannisbeere und Brombeere. der Haut Tropchaud ist aber nicht überladen oder sperrig. man kann ihn kaum ausspucken. die Umamiwürze zwingt einen förmlich zum trinken und das selbst in diesem Stadium der Fassprobe! Sofort geht einem ein Lächeln durchs Gesicht. der pure Hedonismus. dabei lang und mit der richtigen Portion Würze und Mineralik. Wieder wird diese extrem hohe Balance deutlich. Das Kaufmuss aus diesem Jahrgang, der archetypische Pomerol überhaupt. Unglaublich schön. balanciert und lecker und wieder lecker. so muss ein Pomerol sein! Pomerol ist Genuss ohne jegliche Reue. viel mehr als man das in den anderen Appellationen Bordeauxs finden kann. This wine is made with fruit from outside the Classico zone. from hillside vines planted in well-drained marl soils. with 180-degree exposures from southwest to southeast. The wine's name Marne 180 plays up both of those site-specific attributes. A new wine from Tedeschi. the 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Marne 180 is slightly more approachable when stacked against the estate's Amarone Capitel Monte Olmi. Offering bright primary fruit with good complexity in the form of spice. tobacco and dried herbs. you could serve the Marne 180 at a holiday party with a platter of French cheeses. The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak casks for 30 months. Some 120.000 bottles were made.

Mit dieser Bewertung unterstreicht Monica Larner ganz klar. welche herausragende Qualität Tedeschi hier mit dem Marne 180 Amarone anbietet. sehr viele deutlich hochpreisigere Amarone haben nicht annähernd eine vergleichbare Bewertung. Überhaupt sind es nur 2 Amarone Weine die aus dem Jahrgang bisher höher bewertet sind im Wineadvocate. beide Weine sind mit Miniproduktionen fast nicht im Markt verfügbar.

Der neue Tedeschi Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella 2019 ist der alte Amarone della Valpolicella.

Der Amarone ist einer der vielen sagenumwobenen Weine Italiens. Die Trauben für diese Ikone werden vollreif geerntet und danach vier Monate kontrolliert getrocknet. wodurch sich die Konzentration aller Inhaltsstoffe der Traube enorm verdichtet und zu einem Ergebnis führt. wie man es sonst nicht finden kann. Der Tedeschi Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella 2019 macht da keine Ausnahme: nach einer alkoholischen Gärung von 40 bis 60 Tagen lagert dieser feine Tropfen für drei Jahre in Eichenholzfässern und kommt nach der Abfüllung erst sechs Monate später auf den Markt. damit sich der Wein erstmal beruhigen kann. Auch hier setzt Tedeschi auf die traditionsreiche Weinbereitung mit einem breiten Spektrum an autochtonen Rebsorten: 30% Corvina. 30% Corvinone. 30% Rondinella. und insgesamt 10% von Rossignola. Oseleta. Negrara und Dindarella geben das beste Venetiens in einen einzigen Wein. Im Glas zeigt sich der Tedeschi Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella 2019 mit einem tief dunklen Rubinrot. die Aromen springen einen förmlich an und füllen die Nase auf Anhieb mit vollreifen. süßen. dunklen Früchten wie Blaubeeren. Schwarzkirschen und Cassis. Durch die dreijährige Lagerung im Fass gesellt sich noch etwas Vanille mit ins Aromenspektrum. Wer im Mund jetzt plumpes Fruchtkompott erwartet. wird bitterlich enttäuscht: samt weiches aber präsentes Tannin. dunkles Dörrobst und eine ins Bitter gehende (hier liegt der Ursprung des Namens Amarone. vom italienischen amaro = bitter) Note. die erfrischt. dem Wein Struktur und Eleganz verleiht.

Die Bezeichnung Marne 180 beschreibt übrigens 2 Besonderheiten des Weins. die die Individualisten bei Tedeschi natürlich nicht unerwähnt lassen wollen: "Marne" bezeichnet den Boden. zu Deutsch "Mergel". Hier wachsen die Trauben für den Tedeschi Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella 2019 an mindestens 20 Jahre alten Reben. Die "180" im Namen steht für die Ausrichtung der Weinbergslagen. von einer zur anderen Himmelrichtung im exakten 180°-Winkel.

Tedeschi 2016 Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva

Der Tedeschi Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva 2016 ist einer der spannendsten Weine der Region. Nicht nur, dass er als Amarone sowieso Kultstatus genießen würde. Seit 1964 hat Lorenzo Tedeschi diese Lage schon seperat vinifiziert! Sein Gespür für das besondere Mikroklima und die nochmal spezielle Bodenbeschaffenheit hat sich seit Mitte der 90er Jahre auch wissenschaftlich durchgesetzt. So konnte man nach einer Studie von fast drei Jahren auch weinrechtlich durchsetzen, dass Monte Olmi als Einzellage Cru-Status erhält. Die 2.5ha große Lage befindet sich derzeit im Alleinbesitz der Familie Tedeschi, die wegen der Topographie Terrassen in den steilen Hang einlassen musste. Die Reben wachsen im Pergolasystem, das heißt das einjährige Holz wird steil nach oben erzogen, so dass sich einen guten Meter über dem Boden eine Art Busch formt. Dadurch werden die Trauben besser belüftet und effektiver vom heißen Boden fern gehalten als zum Beispiel beim Vertikaldrahtrahmensystem. Das Laubdach schützt vor der sengenden Sonne. Die Trauben für den Tedeschi Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva 2016 gedeihen in dieser speziellen Lage noch besser, das Schale/Fleisch-Verhältnis ist ideal für Weine im Amaronestil. So ist dieser Riserva ( = mehr Alkohol und längere Lagerung als weinrechtlich vorgeschrieben) nochmal strukturbetonter bei gleichbleibender Eleganz und finessenreicher bei mehr Konzentration. was ihm noch mehr Lagerpotentail gibt. Dieser Wein ist zum Reifen gemacht, trinkbar ab sofort bis mindestens 2035.

The Tedeschi 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Capitel Monte Olmi is brawnier, heavier and shows even more tarry spice than we saw in the 2013 vintage that I tasted at the same time. Aged in oak casks for four years, the blend is 30% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 30% Rondinella and 10% complementary grapes from a 2.5-hectare vineyard with calcareous marl soils with streaks of yellow. This Riserva also shows more ripeness and ultimately more sweetness with cherry cola on the close. Production is 8.000 bottles.

Die Rahmendaten zum Bodegas Muga Reserva 2018 Rioja: Handlese, Gärung mit einheimischen Hefen in Holzbottichen. Reifung für 24 Monate in Fässern aus von uns ausgewählter Eiche. Das Holz stammt zu 80% aus französischer Eiche und zu 20% aus amerikanischer Eiche. Vor der Flaschenabfüllung wird der Wein mit frischem Eiweiß geklärt. Anschließend wird er in unserem Flaschenkeller mindestens 12 Monate lang verfeinert, bevor er zum Verkauf freigegeben wird. Und weil Muga in 2018 auf die Produktion des Aro, des Torre Muga und auch des Prado Enea verzichtete, flossen die gewöhnlich für diese Spitzenweine der Bodegas reservierten Trauben in diesem Jahr in den Reserva.
