Das Château La Mission in Lalande-de-Pomerol gehört seit mehreren Generationen zur Familie Garde-Lasserre, die auch Eigentümer von Clos René und Moulinet-Lasserre in Pomerol ist.

Die Merlots und Cabernets Francs befinden sich im südwestlichen Teil der Appellation am Rande der berühmten Pomerol-Appellation und sind auf einem ausgezeichneten Tonterroir mit eisenhaltiger und schlammiger Unterlage gepflanzt. Dank eines Durchschnittsalters der Reben von 40 Jahren und sorgfältigem Weinbau (manuelle Ernte) bietet das Château La Mission Weine mit Aromen reifer Früchte mit einem reichen, seidigen und charmanten Gaumen, der bereits in jungen Jahren zugänglich ist.

Der Name „La Mission“ stammt aus der Zeit der Kreuzzüge, als die Ritter auf ihrem Weg in weiter entfernte Länder des Mittelmeers durch die Region Pomerol zogen. Es war üblich, dass sie, als sie anhielten, vor dem Kreuz der Mission beteten, das noch auf dem Grundstück anwesend war.

Er ist nicht überkonzentriert, sondern findet sehr gekonnt die Balance zwischen feingliedriger Frucht, dunklen Beeren, etwas Würze, zart floralen Anklängen und das Ganze untermalt mit einer mineralischen und frischen Tiefe. Medium-bodied, the palate is not at all weighty, but it is built like a brick house, with bags of restrained, muscular fruit and a solid line of firm, grainy tannins, finishing with epic length and fantastic tension. Der Château Plince 2021 setzt sich zusammen aus 82 % Merlot und 18 % Cabernet Franc, geerntet zwischen dem 25. September und dem 6. Oktober. Eine fleischige, unkomplizierte, charmante Anstrengung mit vielen Johannisbeeren und fast Brombeer-ähnlichen Früchten, bietet er mittlere Körperfülle sowie ein rundes, schön ausbalanciertes Mundgefühl und reife, pudrige Tannine. Mit der Zeit im Glas kommen mehr Tabak- und Eisennoten hervor und er wird von ein paar Jahren im Keller nur profitieren.

Der Plince 2021 hat viel mehr Fruchtkonzentration in der Nase als der
Plincette und liefert Aromen von schwarzen Kirschen, Cassis und Veilchen. Die Eiche ist hier gut integriert. Der Gaumen ist sauber und frisch beim Eintritt, bietet ziemlich robuste Tannine, die die Mitte dominieren, und eine gute Dichte, auch wenn es ihm etwas an Grazie und Raffinesse im krautigen Finish fehlt. Ein bisschen unbeholfen.

Coming from a mix of clay and gravelly soils spread across a 10-hectare vineyard and 40-year-old vines, the 2021 Château Clinet is another brilliant success by Ronan Laborde, who continues to make one of the greatest Pomerols out there. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon (which is a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon for Pomerol), it sports a deep purple hue to go with brilliant notes of blueberries, blackberries, violets, and minty herbs. More medium to full-bodied on the palate, it shows the fresher, elegant style of the vintage yet still brings plenty of mid-palate depth, ripe, velvety tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's a stunning success in the vintage that will drink nicely on release yet evolve for 20 years or more.

Eines meiner Lieblings-Châteaus, der 2021er Château Hosanna besteht zu 75% aus Merlot und zu 25% aus Cabernet Franc von 4,5 Hektar blauen Tonerdeböden im Herzen von Pomerol. Geerntet zwischen dem 24. September und dem 6. Oktober, präsentiert er sich in einem lebhaften, undurchsichtigen Purpurton mit schönen schwarzen und blauen Früchten, Eisen, Graphit und feuchter, erdiger Aroma- und Geschmacksnoten. Er ist reichhaltig, mittelschwer und verfügt über eine gute Konzentration sowie reife, aber zunehmende Tannine. Dieser quintessentielle Pomerol verdient 4-5 Jahre Flaschenalterung und wird in den folgenden 15-20 Jahren glänzen.

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Reife Herzkirschen, ein Hauch von Edelholz, Nuancen von Preiselbeeren und zarter Lakritze. Komplex, saftig, engmaschige Textur, feine Fruchtsüße, mineralisch, reife Tannine, verfügt über gute Länge, zartes Nougat im Nachhall, Herzkirschen im Finale.
