Chateau Lafleur-Gazin Pomerol

Dieser Wein befindet sich am nördlichen Rand des Plateaus von Pomerol, eingebettet zwischen Château Gazin und Château La Fleur-Pétrus. Er wurde von Ets hergestellt. Jean-Pierre Moueix seit 1976 für die Familie Borderie, Eigentümer seit 1930.

Die Merlot-Reben (durchschnittlich 30 Jahre alt) werden auf Kies und Lehm gepflanzt. Der Cabernet Franc wird auf Schlickböden gepflanzt, die einen nuancierten und vollständigen Ausdruck des Charakters dieser Sorte fördern.

Die Bewirtschaftung und Weinbereitung der Weinberge erfolgt traditionell und mit großer Sorgfalt. Dabei entsteht ein praller, geschmeidiger, fleischiger Wein mit reifen Früchten und seidigen Tanninen.

Lafleur-Gazin ist schon in seiner Jugend sehr zugänglich und ein entzückender Ausdruck des leichteren Stils der Pomerol-Weine.

The Mouiex firm acquired this estate in 2021 (after cultivating it in "fermage" since 1974) and sold off the less optimally situated parcels lying on sandy soils. The 2023 Lafleur-Gazin offers up aromas of dark berries, cherries, baked plums and mint, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered palate that's quite deep and extracted, perhaps reflecting an understandable ambition to signal new seriousness at this address. It's 100% Merlot.

A solid and structured Pomerol with blackberry, black olive and light brown-sugar character. Hint of smoked wood, too. It’s medium- to full-bodied with very integrated, slightly muscular tannins and a persistent finish. 100% merlot.
