Clos Manou 2016 Medoc Magnum

89 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Clos Manou 2016Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:

Readers will find a heady, exotic Médoc in the 2015 Clos Manou. Super-ripe black cherry, chocolate, leather, smoke, licorice and espresso infuse this succulent, powerful wine. There is not a ton of subtlety here, and yet Clos Manou is irresistibly pleasing and flat-out delicious.

93 Sucklingpunkte für den Clos Manou 2016 Medoc James Suckling Februar 2019:

You couldn’t wish for a more classic Médoc, but this has concentration and finesse rare for this basic appellation of the region. Lifts off at the finish, thanks to the fine dry tannins and lively acidity. A blend of 50 per cent cabernet sauvignon, 36 per cent merlot, nine per cent petit verdot and five per cent cabernet franc. Drink or hold.

92 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Petit Figeac 2016 Saint Emilion Zweitwein von Chateau FigeacVerkostungsbericht aus Januar 2019:

The 2016 Petit-Figeac is a gorgeous, silky second wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Sweet floral notes add freshness and lift to this expressive Saint-Émilion. In 2016, Petit-Figeac has a bit more Franc than usual which also contributes to the wine's perfumed personality. This is impeccably done.

90 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Petit Figeac 2016 Saint Emilion Zweitwein von Chateau FigeacVerkostungsbericht vom 30.November 2018:

The 2016 Petit-Figeac is a blend of 41% Cabernet Franc, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 23% Merlot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with bold scents of warm black plums, black cherries and mulberries with touches of baking spices, potpourri, unsmoked cigars and dusty soil. Medium-bodied, it is very bright, elegant and minerally in the mouth, with plenty of vibrancy and freshness on the finish.

93 Punkte James Suckling für den Petit Figeac 2016 Zweitwein von Chateau Figeac Saint EmilionJames Suckling Februar 2019:

Very cabernet on the nose with blackcurrants, walnuts and fresh herbs. Hints of dried earth. Medium to full body and firm, juicy tannins. Solid. Second wine of Figeac. A blend of 41 per cent cabernet franc, 36 per cent cabernet sauvignon and 23 per cent merlot. Try after 2022.

Intensity and clarity of fruit is so insane. Blackberries, spices such as cloves, blueberries, sandalwood and dried lavender. Full body and such a beautiful, dense center palate with perfectly polished tannins. Extremely long and beautiful. One of the best young Montroses in a long, long time.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Giscours opens with expressive cassis, blackberry and red currants on the nose with touches of cedar chest, roses and pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied with a good core of muscular fruit and firm, grainy tannins, it finishes long.

The 2015 Giscours is every bit as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. Deep, powerful and virile in style, the 2015 has a lot to say. There is a purity to the aromas and flavors in the 2015 that I don't recall seeing in the past. Ripe and ample, with terrific freshness and nuance, the 2015 is compelling in every way. In 2015, the blend is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, with no Cabernet Franc.

Ripe cassis and morello-cherry aromas pour from the glass. As seductive as the fruit of this wine is, there’s also serious concentration and a major tannin structure that means it packs quite a punch on the long, rather complex finish.

Chateau Pape Clement rouge 2015 mit 99 Punkten bei James SucklingJames Suckling beschreibt den Chateau Pape Clement 2015 wie folgt:

The clarity to this wine is impressive. Wealth of dark-plum and black-fruit essence not to mention orange citrus. Everything is dialed up to the limit here but then dialed in on the palate. Such impressive depth and suave, ripe, fluid tannins that deliver impressive length. Great wine. Such polish. Superb. Try from 2022.

Chateau Pape Clement 2015 Doppel-Magnum in der 1er OHKAntonio Galloni beschreibt den Chateau Pape Clement 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:

One of the stars of the vintage, the 2015 Pape Clément is fabulous. Dark and beautifully resonant, it captures all the natural radiance of the year in the Pape Clément style. Super-ripe black cherry, plum, mocha, chocolate, new leather and spice effortlessly fill out the wine's ample frame. Soft contours and an open-knit, inviting personality are just two of the reasons the Pape Clément is going to be virtually impossible to resist, even in the early going. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Tasted two times.

Chateau Pape Clement 2015 mit 96 Parker PunktenLisa Perrotti Brown beschreibt den Chateau Pape Clement 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:

The 2015 Pape Clement is blended of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, matured in 80% new and 20% one-year-old French oak barrels for 18 months. Medium to deep garnet-purple, it opens with profound notes of crushed red and black currants, black cherries and cassis with touches of mocha, baking spices, menthol and lavender plus a hint of new leather. Medium-bodied, firm and concentrated with tons of tightly wound black fruit and earth layers, it has a grainy frame and refreshing lift on the long finish.

20 Punkte vom Weinwisser für den Chateau Pape Clement 2015 Rene Gabriel beschreibt den Chateau Pape Clement 2015 wie folgt:

50 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 47 % Merlot, 2 % Petit Verdot, 1 % Cabernet Franc.

Rose petals, sandalwood and currants with some plums and fruit tea. Full-bodied, tight and focused. Incredibly straight and minerally. Toned muscles here. Tannic. Traditional and unwavering. Try in 2024.

La Mission Haut Brion 2015 mit 98 Parker Punkten bewertetLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den La Mission Haut Brion 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:

The deep garnet-purple colored 2015 La Mission Haut-Brion is a blend of 58% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. Youthfully mute with bright, youthful red currants, black raspberries, cassis and freshly crushed blackberries notions, it slowly unfurls to reveal an earthy/minerally undercurrent of damp soil, charcoal, iron ore and truffles plus a waft of violets. Medium to full-bodied, decadently fruited and yet wonderfully elegant with very ripe, very silky tannins, freshness that sits well in the background and an almost electric intensity of vibrant red and black fruit flavors, it finishes long and minerally. Just. Beautiful. Consider giving it 6-7 years in bottle before broaching and drink it over the next 30+.

Pure fruit here in a reserved and focused presentation with just a hint of dried roses. Full body, integrated tannins and a fresh, tangy finish. Shows focus and brightness. Second wine of Château Haut-Bailly. Needs two or three years to soften. Try in 2021.

La Parde Haut Bailly 2015 Pessac Leognan mit 92 Punkten bei VinousAntonio Galloni bewertet den La Parde de Haut Bailly 2015 wie folgt:

The 2015 La Parde de Haut-Bailly is laced with the essence of black cherry, plum, licorice, menthol and grilled herbs. Supple and inviting, the 2015 will drink well upon release, but this deceptively midweight second wine from Haut-Bailly also has more than enough structure to age well for a number of years. The blend is 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.

Seductive. The nose draws you in deep: It’s like staring into a well of pristine dark cherries, dark plums, blackberries and mulberries. All the oak is perfectly subsumed. The palate’s flawless with immense depth and power and it’s so balanced as to appear to float. Immaculate fresh dark-berry and plum flavors. Silky and deep, ribbon-like finish. Perfect.

Best from 2022.

Composed of 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc and aged for 18 months in 70% new and 30% one-year-old barrels, the 2015 Canon is boldly fruited with blackberry preserves, black cherry compote, fruitcake, mocha and plum preserves with suggestions of Indian spices, licorice and black olives. Full-bodied and packed with ripe, rich dried berries and exotic spice layers, it has a firm, slightly chewy structure and just enough freshness (the pH is 3.78), finishing long and savory. Give it another 2-3 years of cellaring to soften its edges and allow its flavor spectrum to fully emerge, and drink it over the next 20 to 25+ years.

Chateau Canon 2015 1er Grand Cru Classe B Saint EmilionAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Canon 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:

From the very beginning, the 2015 Canon has made an eloquent case for itself as one of the wines of the vintage. Multiple tastings from bottle only confirm what several early tastings hinted at: the 2015 Canon is simply extraordinary in every way. Sumptuous and exotic, with no hard edges and exceptional balance, the 2015 grabs hold of all the senses and never lets up. A rush of red fruit intermingled with floral notes, spice and smoke notes effortlessly runs up the wine's vertical structure as the 2015 thrills with every twist and turn. The 2015 Canon is a rare wine that is both hedonistic and intellectual - well, maybe it is a bit more hedonistic-leaning. It doesn't matter. Don't miss it. This 2015 is masterpiece from General Manager Nicolas Auderbert and his team at Canon.

Just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel, the Beau-Séjour-Bécot is superb. Expressive plum, grilled herb, lavender and spice flesh out in the glass. Voluptuous and racy, with no hard edges, the 2015 has much to offer. This is in an especially dense, explosive style, and yet all the elements are wonderfully fused together. Belair Monange 2015 mit 98+ Punkten bei Robert ParkerLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Belair Monange 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:

This perhaps somewhat controversial marriage between the estates of Chateau Belair and Chateau Magdelaine—both Premier Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion estates—to form Chateau Bélair Monange hits pay-dirt with this spectacular 2015 release. Composed of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Belair Monange has the most singular nose of grilled meats, smoked game, iron ore and fallen leaves over a slowly unfurling ripe fruit core of crushed black plums, blackberry preserves and cassis with fragrant touches of star anise and potpourri. Full-bodied, rich and opulent in the mouth, the palate reveals an arresting backbone of exquisitely ripe, very firm tannins and sparks of background acidity lifting and defining the rich, densely packed layers, culminating in an epically long and multifaceted finish. Possessing its own compellingly beautiful signature, this is a remarkably riveting wine that should not be missed.

Chateau Belair Monange 2015 Saint Emilion mit 98 Punkten bei VinousAntonio Galloni bewertet den Belair Monange 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:

A huge, intense Saint-Émilion, the Bélair-Monange is just as impressive from bottle as it was from cask. That's the good news. The not-so-good news is that the wine is going to need at least a decade to shed some of its considerable baby fat. A rush of super-ripe black cherry, game, smoke and tobacco hits the palate as this dramatic, unrestrained Saint-Émilion shows off its explosive personality. The 2015 speaks with an assertive voice that demands attention – and it got mine, that’s for sure. The blend is 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc.

Certan de May de Certan 2015 Pomerol mit 97 Punkten bei James SucklingJames Suckling bewertet den Chateau Certan de May 2015 Pomerol am 02.02.2018 wie folgt:

This has a darker sheen of fruits in the blackberry and blood-plum spectrum with sweetly spicy and earthy aromas and some violets to boot. The palate has quite a forthright tannin firmness. A very long, linear wine with a full body and a smooth, fresh, blueberry/plum finish. An impressive wine that rolls endlessly through the finish. This has plenty of ageing potential.

Try from 2023.

Breathtaking aromas of perfectly ripe fruit with blackberries, black olives, licorice, cedar and sweet tobacco. Full body, incredible depth and power, yet this is always in reserve and check. Everything is in the right place for this new legend from Trotanoy. Will age for decades in the future.

Try it in 2026.

Composed of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Trotanoy reveals a medium to deep garnet-purple color and comes prancing out of the glass with the most striking black fruit preserves, plum pudding, red currant jelly and blueberry compote notions, followed up by nuances of rose petals, chocolate box, licorice and menthol plus a waft of wild mushrooms. Full-bodied, rich and decadent, it fills the palate with generous perfumed black and blue fruit layers with a seductive frame of velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long and very minerally.

Chateau Trotanoy 2015 Pomerol mit 98 Punkten bei VinousAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Trotanoy 2015 aus Pomerol wie folgt:

The 2015 Trotanoy is very clearly one of the wines of the vintage. In 2015, Trotanoy captures all the intensity of the year in its ample, full-bodied frame, and yet there is more than enough structure, energy and minerality to play off the wine's more overt leanings. A rush of black cherry, plum, graphite, leather, smoke and game punctuate the huge, tannic finish. What a wine!

Chateau La Fleur Petrus 2015 mit 96 Parker Punkten ausgezeichnetLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den La Fleur Petrus 2015 Pomerol am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:

A blend of 92% Merlot, 7.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.5% Petit Verdot, the 2015 la Fleur-Petrus is a little reticent on the nose to begin, offering up beguiling notes of tilled soil, black olives, charcuterie and dried Provence herbs over a core of preserved plums, black cherries and black raspberries with touches of tar and new leather. Full-bodied, rich, plush and seductive in the mouth, it finishes with persistent, slowly revealing earthy/savory layers, which will keep you reaching for another glass.

Chateau La Fleur Petrus 2015 Pomerol mit 97+ Punkten bei VinousAntonio Galloni bewertet den La Fleur Petrus 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:

The 2015 La Fleur-Pétrus is a magical wine. Soaring aromatics, beautifully layered, translucent fruit and exceptional balance are the signatures. Hints of orange peel, white pepper and rose petal add an exotic flair. A wine of total harmony, the 2015 offers superb intensity and structure to play off the natural richness of the year. A dollop of Petit Verdot rounds out the blend. The 2015 is like a full-on orchestra where all the instruments are clearly heard but also come together in unison to create a wall of sound that is overwhelming in its beauty.

93-94 Punkte Suckling | Bad Boy 2016 Bordeaux by Jean Luc ThunevinJames Suckling bewertet den Bad Boy April 2017:

Impressive depth of fruit and power to this wine with blackberry, blueberry and violet character. Full body, brilliant acidity and a firm and silky finish. Fantastic. Better than the 2015.
