Priorat DOC

Weinregion Priorat:

Alvaro Palacios Les Terrasses Priorat DOC 2015 trocken
93+
93+ Punkte Robert Parker für Alvaro Palacios Les Terrasses Priorat DOC 2015 trockenLuis Gutierrez beschreibt den Lss Terrasses 2015 im April 2018 wie folgt:

The reliable 2015 Les Terrasses Velles Vinyes is the wine with a higher Cariñena content from the portfolio; it's 55% Garnacha, 45% Cariñena and perhaps 1% white grapes sourced from the nine villages of Priorat. The destemmed and crushed grapes fermented in oak and concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in barriques for ten months. I've always liked the elegant rusticity of Les Terrasses, which in the last few years has become more ethereal. This seems to be a lighter vintage, very pure, aromatic, even floral, intense and long. This seems to be a more elegant version of Terrasses, long and silky. 136,000 bottles produced.

Rebsorten : Carinena/ Garnacha / Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah

Terroir Historic Negre 2017 DOQ Priorat
92

92 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Terroir Historic Negre 2017 DOQ PrioratLuis Gutierrez beschreibt den Terroir Historic Negre 2016 DOQ Priorat

I was delighted by the second vintage of the red 2016 Terroir Históric, which is produced following the more traditional style of the zone. It's a blend of Garnacha with 25% Cariñena from the nine villages, though the majority of grapes come from Scala Dei and La Morera—which are cooler villages than even Torroja—so the wine is fresher than the average in the region. They wanted something more than a fun semi-carbonic maceration red; they wanted some structure and length on the palate, as this line is produced for gastronomy. It's spicy and fresh, with fine tannins and great freshness, really easy to drink. It never sees any oak, as it's fermented and matured in concrete vats. This is a great improvement over the previous vintage. 10,000 bottles were filled in March 2017. This is a great Priorat for the by-the-glass market, sold at a very competitive price.

Terroir al Limit Torroja Vi de la Vila 2016 DOQ Priorat
93

93 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Terroir al Limit Torroja Vi de la Vila 2016Luis Gutierrez beschreibt den Terroir al Limit Torroja Vi de la Vila 2016 DOQ Priorat :

The 2016 Torroja Vi de Vila is the village wine that is bottled earlier than the others. The oak is neatly folded into the wine, which is quite fruit-driven and fresh but with clout—especially now that they have the Historic as an entry-level wine, this can show a little more complexity. The blend of Cariñena and Garnacha in equal parts works very well. The fruit is red rather than black, and the texture is silky, with very fine tannins and great acidity. It's very lively, aromatic and open, fluid, elegant and fresh. All the reds fermented with full clusters and indigenous yeasts, and this had a ten-day maceration with the skins and stems and then aged 18 months in an oak foudre. They only have five or six 500-liter oak barrels in addition to the oak foudre, and they use concrete more and more. 16,800 bottles were filled in August 2017.

Terroir al Limit Dits del Terra 2015 DOQ Priorat
95

95 Puntke vom Wine Advocate für den Terroir al Limit Dits del Terra 2015Luis Gutierrez beschreibt den Terroir al Limit Dits del Terra 2015 DOQ Priorat :

The 2015 Dits del Terra has a beautiful nose that is very elegant and perfumed, with floral aromas and a clear mineral note from early on. This is a slightly warmer vineyard (the one originally worked by Eben Sadie); but the balance is amazing here, and there is no heat. The foudres are also a little older—six years old—and therefore are quite neutral, and the wines age nicely in them. The quality and refinement of the tannins is surprising—they provide for a velvety texture, and there is a liveliness on the palate that only the best wines can achieve, especially with a rustic grape grown in a rustic place and in a warm vineyard. In this 2015, the Cariñena is just as fresh (maybe even fresher!) as it is in the Arbossar. Bravo! At the end of the day, both showed a similar quality level. For proprietor Dominik Huber, it's clear that Cariñena is the grape for the warmer places on slate soils. 4,600 bottles were filled in May 2017.

Familia Nin Ortiz Nit de Nin Mas d'en Cacador 2015 DOQ Priorat
97

97 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Familia Nin Ortiz Nit de Nin Mas d'en Cacador 2015 DOQ PrioratLuis Gutierrez beschreibt den Familia Nin Ortiz Nit de Nin Mas d'en Cacador 2015 DOQ Priorat:

The Nit de Nin family has grown with the addition of a new vineyard. The wine produced since 2003 comes from Mas d'en Caçador—this was always named on the label, but it is now also specified in the wine name to distinguish between the new vineyard. The 2015 Nit de Nin Mas d’en Caçador comes from the vineyard mentioned in the name, a famous place in Porrera planted with old vines of Garnacha Negra, Garnacha Peluda and Cariñena. It fermented in an oak vat with indigenous yeasts and matured in a similar vat for 18 months. It's heady and ripe, exuberant and very open, a hedonistic, round and lush wine. The palate reveals very fine tannins and great harmony. 4,774 bottles and some larger formats were filled in April 2017.

Clos i Terrasses Laurel 2016 DOQ Priorat
95

95 Puntke vom Wine Advocate für den Clos i Terrasses Laurel 2015 DOQ PrioratLuis Gutierrez beschreibt den Clos i Terrasses Laurel 2015 DOQ Priorat:

The 2015 Laurel is the second wine here, and it has evolved with time. It's a transparent and bright blend of Garnacha with 20% Syrah and some 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines between 11 and 22 years of age. The blend is different each year, as the vines are becoming older and wiser. It shows extremely aromatic and expressive, open and elegant. It really does not show any heat; on the contrary, it feels quite fresh. It's not a muscular wine—it’s very elegant. Part of the wine matured in amphora, and there's no more pigéage (since 2012), only very soft pump overs just to keep the cap wet. The extraction is a lot lower than in earlier years. This is nothing short of spectacular. Some 20,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in May 2017. At this tender age, Laurel is a lot more approachable than Clos Erasmus from the same year. I want to drink this and lay down the Clos Erasmus.

Juil 2019:

A fresh and bright red with blueberry and slate aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Tight tannins and a steely finish. Shows energy and focus. No wood. Garnacha and cariñena. Drink now.

92+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Terroir al Limit Historic Negre Priorat 2018Verkostungsnotiz von Luis Gutierrez vom 30. August 2019:

I think the 2018 Terroir Históric follows the path of the 2016, with a little more freshness, and they have finally gotten rid of the reduction that this wine showed in some vintages. It has a clean and explosive nose of red cherries, licorice and fine spices and is clean and focused, pure, really attractive. There is perfect ripeness, enough to provide flavors and aromas without any excess. The palate is medium-bodied with great balance and is pure, delineated and terribly harmonious. 35,000 bottles produced. It's remarkable that they have been able to increase quantity and quality. It was bottled in May 2019.
