Chateau Labegorce 2017 Margaux
Antonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2017 Margaux im März 2020:
The 2017 Labégorce is powerful yet nuanced. and wonderfully complete. Cedar. tobacco. mint. dried herbs and licorice grace this wine of tremendous complexity. While it is towering in its size. richness and intensity. the 2017 is also surprisingly elegant. Creamy. ample and flavorful. this is a very good wine with rather pretty floral notes that grace the exquisite finish.
Lisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2017 Margaux im März 2020:
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored. the 2017 Labégorce has quite an oaky nose to begin. giving way to scents of warm plums. pencil shavings and blackcurrant pastilles plus a waft of black olives. Medium to full-bodied. the palate delivers a lot of muscular fruit. framed by firm. chewy tannins and bold freshness. finishing a little hard.
James Suckling bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2017 Margaux im Dezember 2019:
This has a swathe of very attractive plums and ripe red berries on offer. The palate has a very fresh array of fine tannins. Smooth and easy with a rich. deep-set drive to the finish. Drink or hold.

Wir haben die Fassmusterverkostungen für Sie in einem Zusatzfeld zusammengefasst.
Lisa Perrotti Brown im März 2020:
The 2017 Marquis d'Alesme Becker is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot. 6% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color. it has a very serious. classic nose of warm cassis. cedar chest. pencil lead and fragrant earth with wafts of violets and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied. it has a solid backbone of firm. ripe. grainy tannins and a muscular mid-palate of tightly wound layers. delivering lovely purity and great length.
Antonio Galloni im März 2020:
The 2017 Marquis d'Alesme is a powerful. dark Margaux. Black cherry. plum. crème de cassis. tobacco. leather. menthol. espresso and tobacco accents add to the wine's decidedly potent feel. Ample and creamy on the palate. the 2017 shows the important presence of Merlot in the blend. which among other things. gives a real sense of immediacy.
James Suckling bewertet den Chateau Marquis d´Alesme 2017 Margaux im Dezember 2019:
There’s strong drive here with rich aromas of dark berries and cassis. as well as blueberries. The palate has a bold build of quite fine. firm tannin that carries long. even and true. Drink or hold.

Chateau Labegorce 2018 Margaux
James Suckling bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2018 Margaux wie folgt:
This is a plump and rich Labégorce with a full body. juicy tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Lots of pure and intense fruit.
James Mothels bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2018 Margaux wie folgt:
Really expressive. with a gorgeous beam of raspberry. blackberry and blueberry fruit driving through. inlaid with graphite and anise notes. The very polished feel lets the fruit glisten on the finish.
Lisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2018 Margaux wie folgt:
Beginning with the 2009 vintage. Labégorce Zédé has been folded into Labégorce. both of which are owned by the Perrodo family (as is the recently acquired Marquis d'Alesme). The 53-hectare vineyard has thus grown to 65 hectares and remains situated on the plateau just north of the town of Margaux. across the road from Lascombes. Density now approaches 10.000 vines per hectare with an average age in 2018 of 29 years. Aging is in 40% new and 60% one-year-old barrels. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. 44% Merlot. 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot and it has 14% alcohol. Deep purple-black colored. the 2018 Labégorce is a little subdued by cedar to begin. giving way to a core of plum preserves. Black Forest cake and Indian spices with wafts of garrigue and lavender. Full. concentrated and laden with black fruit preserves. it has an approachable frame of firm. rounded tannins and just enough freshness. finishing on a peppery note.
Antonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2018 Margaux wie folgt:
The 2018 Labégorce is plump. juicy and forward. with terrific fruit intensity and richness. Suave and silky. with notable persistence. Labégorce has so much to offer. Labégorce is not that complex - at least not today - but it is undeniably delicious and will deliver tons of pleasure upon release. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. 44% Merlot. 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Tasted two times.

Very attractive. plush and rich red and dark-fruit aromas with beautifully integrated oak and youthful. spicy complexity. The palate has lush. seamless and velvety tannins that are elegant yet powerful and deliver a silky build of ripe dark-berry flavors into a long. seamless finish. Greatest Siran ever! Try from 2023.
Lisa Perrotti Brown im November 2018

The 2016 Siran has a deep garnet-purple color and nose of cassis and chocolate-covered cherries with wafts of black soil. licorice and violets. The medium-bodied palate is lively with grainy tannins and a good fruit core.
Verkostungsbericht aus Januar 2019:
The 2016 Siran has a backward bouquet. quite delineated and broody at first. then opening gradually to reveal blackberry. cedar and graphite scents - almost Pauillac-like in style. Chateau Giscours 2016 Margaux
Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:
The 2016 Giscours is complex. aromatically intense and beguiling. with myriad layers of flavors that unfold with time in the glass. Black cherry. sage. leather. smoke and menthol add plenty of intrigue. but above all else. it is the wine's balance and sense of harmony that make the deepest impression. Under the leadership of Alexander Van Beek and his team. Giscours has been on a roll over the last few years. The 2016 is another fine vintage.
Lisa Perrotti Brown im November 2018
:
Deep garnet-purple colored. the 2016 Giscours gives up aromas of cassis. chocolate. earth. tar. pepper and hoisin with touches of flowers and a meaty nuance. The palate is medium to full-bodied. firm and grainy with a great core and a long finish.
Verkostungsbericht vom 03. Februar 2019:
This has attractive. glossy. ripe red-plum and licorice aromas with cedar. flowers and red berries. as well as a stony edge. A very fragrant. cabernet-driven nose. The palate has elegance and grace with sleek and charming. balanced style and a discreet tannin structure that holds the finish long and fresh. Chateau Cantenac Brown 2016 Margaux
Verkostungsberiht vom 03. Februar 2019:
This has a very delicious and attractive nose offering ample dark berries and plums with cocoa and freshly cut bracken. The palate has a smooth. fan-like array of fine but sturdy tannins that carry very fresh and upbeat into the finish. Try from 2023.
Vinous / Neal Martin Januar 2019:
The 2016 Cantenac Brown has an intense bouquet of blackberry and boysenberry fruit. pencil lead and
sous-bois
. There is gutsiness to these aromatics. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin and a rounded texture. A little heavier than the Brane-Cantenac. displaying fine structure and persistency on the finish. Do not ignore this.
Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:
The 2016 Cantenac Brown is a super-concentrated. potent Margaux. Raspberry jam. mocha. licorice. plum. new oak and spice are all lavishly rendered. Broad and sweeping on the palate. with tremendous richness and resonance. Cantenac Brown is one of the bigger. more overt Margauxs of the vintage. Readers should expect a big. ripe wine. In several tastings. the 2016 has come across as a bit over the top. at least for my personal taste. Technical Director Jose Sanfins gave the 2016 16 months in oak. 60% new.

Chateau Brane Cantenac 2016 Margaux
Vinous / Neal Martin Januar 2019:
The 2016 Brane-Cantenac has been on a roll of late. under the watchful eye of Henri Lurton. This latest bottled vintage is superb. The divine. pure blackberry and bilberry bouquet develops touches of graphite in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. silky-smooth texture and a superb bead of acidity. This is not a powerful Brane-Cantenac. and it is perhaps less austere than I suspected
en primeur
. but it should drink beautifully over the next three decades. If you have a penchant for traditional claret. it really doesn’t come better than this.
Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:
The 2016 Brane-Cantenac is very pretty and nuanced. The richness of the year comes through. and yet there is a good bit of freshness and energy as well to balance things out nicely. Brane-Cantenac offers a fine expression of the year in a wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Time in the glass brings out an attractive register of floral notes that add to the wine's undeniable appeal.
Verkostungsbericht vom 03. Februar 2019:
So much ripe and sweet tobacco on the nose with currant and blackberry character. Full body. intense tannins with density and beauty. It’s a wine with great structure and panache for this estate. Try after 2024.

Chateau Malescot Saint Exupery 2016 Margaux
Verkostungsbericht vom 03. Februar 2019:
A stunning red with currants. blackberries. roses and violets. Medium to full body. ultra-fine tannins and polish and finesse to the powerful tannins. A real stunner. Better than 2015. Take a serious look at it. beginning 2024.
Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:
The 2016 Malescot Saint Exupéry is fabulous. Powerful and explosive on the palate. the 2016 offers serious intensity. but it also appears to be holding back quite a bit of its potential. Moreover. what impresses me most is that in 2016. intensity is delivered more with finesse than with the brutish power that is such a signature of Malescot. Deep and resonant. but also remarkably polished. the 2016 Malescot is a winner. Hints of iron. smoke. cedar. tobacco and scorched earth add nuance. but it is the wine's sense of poise that is most remarkable. I loved it. Tasted three times.
Lisa Perrotti Brown im November 2018
:
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored. the 2016 Malescot St. Exupery sings of cassis. fragrant earth. tobacco and lilacs with a compelling waft of mocha. Chateau Rauzan Segla 2017 Margaux
Bereits Eingetroffen
James Suckling bewertet den Chateau Rauzan Segla 2017 Margaux im Dezember 2019:
There’s a very balanced feel to this wine with ripe blueberries and red plums. as well as dried flowers. The palate has a supple. smooth build of rich. blueberry and cassis flavor and a long. fine-tannin finish. A blend of 62% cabernet sauvignon. 36% merlot and 2% petit verdot. Drink or hold.
Antonio Galloni im März 2020:
The 2017 Rauzan-Ségla is coming together very nicely. Soft and silky. the 2017 is a wine of pure and total finesse. Sweet red cherry and plum fruit. tobacco. cedar and licorice add pretty top notes. but more than anything else. the 2017 impresses with its statuesque elegance and total balance; nothing in particular stands out. For that reason. Rauzan-Ségla is the sort of wine that is easy to overlook. and yet all the elements of a top notch Left-Bank wine are present. Tasted three times.

Chateau Rauzan Segla 2016 Margaux
Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:
The 2016 Rauzan-Ségla is simply stunning. Ample and generous in the glass. the 2016 is a positively stellar wine that will leave readers weak at the knees. The flavors and textures are generous as this sublime Margaux shows off its alluring personality. Sweet red cherry. plum. pomegranate. blood orange. spice and rose petal are some of the many notes that run through this absolutely exquisite wine. The 2016 is just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel. maybe even more! Tasted three times.
Lisa Perrotti Brown im November 2018
:
The 2016 Rauzan-Ségla is blended of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon. 30% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot aged in 60% new and 40% one-year-old barrels for 18 months. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored. it sings of lifted red and black cherries. black raspberries and cassis with a rose hip tea and lilacs undercurrent plus sparks of tobacco. pencil shavings and tilled earth. The palate is medium-bodied. elegant and mineral laced with firm. fine-grained tannins and beautiful freshness. finishing with great length and depth.
James Suckling Januar 2019:
The aromas of blackcurrants. sweet tobacco and sandalwood are tantalizing. Then it turns to subtle. dried fruit. Full-bodied with dense and powerful tannins. yet ending with finesse and vertical nature. Very deep. Power with finesse. Try after 2025.
Vinous / Neal Martin Januar 2019:
The 2016 Rauzan-Ségla has an intense bouquet. one of the most perfumed that I encountered during my round of tastings. Violets infuse the ebullient black fruit. and traces of pencil lead emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied. very pure and supple. displaying wonderful balance and a satiny texture that belongs in a lingerie shop. This is an utterly seductive Margaux. one of the finest in recent years as this estate continues its upsurge in quality. Few 2016s will dole out such inhibited pleasure.

Chateau D´Issan 2016 Margaux
Lisa Perrotti Brown im November 2018
:
The 2016 D'Issan is blended of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon and 36% Merlot. aged in 50% new and 50% one-year-old French oak for 18 months. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored. it has vibrant black cherries and blackcurrants notes with chocolate mint. beef drippings. black olives and cigar box. Medium-bodied with a well-sustained. intensely flavored mid-palate. it has a rock-solid. grainy frame and long savory finish. 10.500 cases produced.
Vinous / Neal Martin Januar 2019:
The 2016 d’Issan. matured in 50% new oak and bottled at the end of May. was impressive out of barrel. and thankfully. it is the same in bottle. The very well defined bouquet features blackberry. tobacco. pressed violets and a subtle estuarine tang. almost a marshland scent of salty air. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannin. good focused and just the right amount of salinity. My feeling is that this Margaux will close up for a while. so cellar it for several years if you can. 13.34% alcohol.
Verkostungsbericht vom 03. Februar 2019:
The brightness and precision already comes through on the nose with floral. blackcurrant character. Full-bodied and very tight and creamy with polished tannins that last for minutes. Warm and intense. Needs four to five years to show all it has. yet already a beauty.

Alter Ego de Palmer 2016 Margaux Chateau Palmer
Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:
The 2016 Alter Ego is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Fresh. vibrant and pulsing with energy. the 2016 is utterly captivating from the very first taste. There is a purity to the 2016 that is simply remarkable. Floral overtones add lift to this super-expressive. sensual Margaux. Alter Ego is made from a selection of parcels that are picked earlier than those used for the Grand Vin. Lower temperatures in fermentation and gentle vinifications yield a wine that emphasizes freshness and energy. In that sense. Alter Ego is not really a second wine of the Grand Vin. but rather is more accurately described as a second. and independent. wine off the property.
Lisa Perrotti Brown im November 2018
:
Blended of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon. 40% Merlot and 12% Petit Verdot. the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Alter Ego de Palmer opens with beautifully expressive notes of black cherries. fresh blackberries and redcurrants plus suggestions of menthol. dark chocolate. cloves and underbrush. Chateau Margaux 2015 Margaux
er bewertet den Chateau Margaux 2015 am 02.02.2018 wie folgt:
This is a haunting young wine that shows you a subtle and hidden strength on the nose with rose petals. currants. currant leaves. stones and plums.
Wonderful ripeness yet brightness. too. Takes your breath away with the intensity and structure.
Full-bodied. powerful and muscular. yet there's an agile undertone to the whole thing. Compact and condensed.
A new legend for Margaux. The 1961 that didn’t happen.
Try in 2024.
Lisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Margaux 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:
The 2015 Chateau Margaux is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon. 8% Merlot. 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Medium garnet-purple colored. the nose features oh-so-seductive notes of warm blackberries. cassis and black forest cake with touches of forest floor. sandalwood. anise and cigar boxes plus a waft of lavender. Medium to full-bodied. it delivers taut. muscular. densely packed black fruits and exotic spice flavor layers supported by a very firm backbone of grainy tannins with oodles of freshness and a long. savory finish. It is tightly knit and a little reticent at this very youthful stage; afford it at least 15 years in the cellar. and it will open out into a classic Chateau Margaux of incredible proportions. Readers may be interested to know that this wine is beautifully packaged in a special commemorative bottle honoring winemaker Paul Pontellier. who passed away in 2016. The gold-etched black bottle bears the message. “Hommage à Paul Pontellier” at the bottom. This 2015 is an achingly beautiful swan song from an incredibly gifted winemaker. taken from us too soon. In my view. this alone makes this vintage more than worth the investment for the many lovers of history in a bottle.
Antonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Margaux 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:
The 2015 Margaux is a compelling. arrestingly beautiful wine that expresses all the best qualities of the vintage. Dark. fleshy and richly textured. the 2015 nevertheless retains the super-classic Margaux sense of structure. Time in the glass brings out the wine's rich. multi-faceted personality. I imagine the 2015 will enjoy a very long and uninterrupted drinking window that will last decades. As exceptional as the 2015. it is not easy to taste. I walked the vineyards at Margaux with Paul Pontallier in late July of that year. A few months later. Pontallier's life was tragically cut short by a very aggressive cancer. The 2015 will live on as a fitting testament to the legacy of a man who did so much for Chateau Margaux and Bordeaux.

Chateau Palmer 2015 Margaux
er bewertet den Chateau Palmer 2015 am 02.02.2018 wie folgt:
I am breathless with the dark-berry. lavender and burnt-orange aromas.
Some salt. Just so formidable and deep.
Stunningly sexy on the palate with a density and power. yet it leaves things so clean and bright.
You want to drink it and enjoy it now. but it has the structure to last forever.
Drink in 2022.
Lisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Palmer 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:
Bottled relatively late in mid-September 2017. the 2015 Palmer is a blend of 44% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon with a small portion of Petit Verdot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored. it offers vibrant red currants. black cherries. wild blueberries. earth and mineral characteristics to begin. with slowly unfurling floral notes of violets and dried roses plus compelling baker’s chocolate and fragrant earth layers. Medium to full-bodied. generously fruited and possessing firm yet very. very fine-grained. mind-blowingly ripe tannins. the multifaceted palate features something of a skip in its step in terms of freshness. while it goes beguilingly earthy on the finish with some mineral hints. Very classy. elegant and sophisticated. this vintage is downright regal in its juxtaposition between poise and audaciousness. Think 2005 Palmer with a tick more fruit intensity. perfume and passion.

Chateau Palmer 2014 Margaux
James Suckling bewertet den Chaeau Palmer 2014 aus Margaux im Februar 2017 wie folgt:
This really develops wonderfully in the glass starting out earthy with mushrooms and spices and then turns to dark fruit such as blackberries and blackcurrants. Full-bodied. very intense and minerally. Firm and silky tannins and a long. long finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink in 2022.
Neal Martin bewertet den Chaeau Palmer 2014 aus Margaux im März 2017 wie folgt:
The 2014 Palmer builds on the promise that it showed in barrel. It is clearly a more understated and nuanced Palmer from winemaker Thomas Duroux this year. but a Margaux with exquisite delineation and precision. hints of blackberry. boysenberry and a touch of pencil box. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin. It feels supple and lithe in the mouth. It will not have the depth and power of the subsequent 2015 Palmer. yet the "flow" is very sensual and the Merlot (45% of the blend) just lends it roundness and a caressing texture. What a beautiful Margaux and I bet it will be deceptively long-lived.
bewertet den Chaeau Palmer 2014 aus Margaux im Februar 2017 wie folgt:
The 2014 Palmer is endowed with serious depth and intensity. Black cherry. bittersweet chocolate. spice. leather. tobacco and menthol infuse the 2014 with striking midpalate depth. unctuousness and texture. Silky. plush and polished. the 2014 will likely offer a very long window of pure drinking pleasure. It is one of the sexiest. raciest 2014s readers will come across. The blend is 49 % Cabernet Sauvignon. 45 % Merlot and 6 % Petit Verdot aged in 60-65 % new French oak.

Ripe and fragrant nose that says Margaux loud and clear. Then comes the rather concentrated and powerful palate. where the supple tannins build nicely. Needs some time for them to resolve. Try it in 2022.
