Attractive fruit to this medium-bodied package of firm tannins and savory undertones. Very nice.

89-92 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Deyrem Valentin 2018 MargauxAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Deyrem Valentin 2018 Margaux wie folgt:

The 2018 Deyrem Valentin is a deep. powerful wine. Black cherry. chocolate. lavender and spice give Deyrem its distinctive dark personality and brooding character. All the elements are nicely balanced. but readers should expect a Margaux built more on power than finesse. The blend is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon. 46% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot.

Aromas of blackberries, blueberries, plums, espresso, orange chocolate and wet earth. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Rich and creamy with generous ripe-berry and chocolate notes. Walnut and earth notes on the finish. Drink from 2024.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Labegorce 2019 MargauxAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Labegorce 2019 Margaux:
The 2019 Labégorce is a rich, heady wine. Succulent black cherry, plum, espresso, licorice, menthol and chocolate are all dialed up. Readers will find an extroverted, lush Margaux. Soft curves and layers of plush fruit add to its considerable immediacy.

94 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Labegorce 2019 MargauxUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Labegorce 2019 Margaux:
The 2019 Labégorce was the first vintage vinified in the new cellar and also the first to use Cabernet Franc from the north part of the appellation, on more limestone soils, a massal selection from an organic producer in the south of France. Matured in 40% new oak, this has a voluminous, multifaceted bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, cedar and perhaps more rose petal than violet at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, very well balanced, and a little spicier than I found from barrel, leading to a detailed, tensile finish.

Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Feiner Schokotouch, dunkle Beerenfrucht, feines Cassis, ein Hauch von Edelholz, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, elegant, feine Fruchtsüße, reife, tragende Tannine, bleibt sehr gut haften, mineralisch und mit sicherem Reifepotenzial ausgestattet.

94 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau Siran 2019 MargauxJames Suckling über den Chateau Siran 2019 Margaux:
Lovely, soft tannins with a juicy and flavorful palate of currants, slightly toasted oak and chocolate. It’s full-bodied and layered with a plush texture and a long, flavorful finish. Warm and rather flamboyant for the vintage. Try in 2025.

94 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Siran 2019 MargauxAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Siran 2019 Margaux:
Just like it was from barrel, the 2019 Siran is a powerful, opulent wine. Raspberry jam, blood orange, mint, wild flowers and rose petal are all amplified in this decidedly heady, sumptuous Margaux. There's not a ton of subtlety, but, then again, who cares? Tasted two times.

94 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Siran 2019 MargauxUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Siran 2019 Margaux:
The 2019 Siran has a very well-defined bouquet of pure black cherry and raspberry fruit, crushed violets and iris petals, and seamlessly integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied, structured and crisp, with fine tannins, impressive delineation and plenty of freshness on the saline finish. One of the best Siran releases in recent years.

92 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Siran 2019 MargauxFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth denChateau Siran 2019 Margaux:
Seductive, showing warmed plum and blackberry compote notes that are lush in feel, with pretty violet and anise hints and a flicker of black tea through the finish. This is hard to lay off of now because of its generosity. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2032. 10,800 cases made, 4,000 cases imported.

19 Jan, 2022 – Blackcurrants with bark, cedar and dried flowers coming through in the nose. Full-bodied with integrated tannins and a long, linear finish. Racy and refined. Sophisticated. Try after 2024.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Kirwan 2019 MargauxUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Kirwan 2019 Margaux:
The 2019 Kirwan retains the engaging floral aromas that I noticed from barrel, well-defined and fragrant, rose petals and a touch of peony complementing the red currant and wild strawberry fruit. The fresh palate is medium-bodied, fleshy and generous, with supple tannins and a hint of white pepper toward the finish, which fans out nicely. This is one of the best Kirwans in recent years and yet I still feel this Margaux can reach higher.

92 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Kirwan 2019 MargauxFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth denChateau Kirwan 2019 Margaux:
Lets very dark plum sauce, cassis and boysenberry preserve flavors unfurl over silky tannins, with black tea and a light sanguine hint infusing the finish. Den Chateau Lascombes 2018 Margaux verkostet Christian Balog von CB Weinhandel in Essen für Sie wie folgt: Christian Balog beschreibt den Wein wie folgt:

Cuvee: 45 Cabernet Sauvignon / 50 Merlot / 5 Petit Verdot Erntezeitpunkt: Zwischen 18. September und 16. October Dunkle reife Frucht, nicht ganz so overdone wie in vielen Jahrgängen. Es kommen florale frische Nuancen hinzu. Dennoch kraftvoll und straff am Gaumen, frische Säure. 92-94+ Punkte

94-95 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Lascombes 2018 MargauxJames Suckling bewertet den Chateau Lascombes 2018 Margaux wie folgt:

This is a dense and very structured young red with currant and citrus character, such as burnt orange. Full-bodied with chewy yet polished tannins and a long and flavorful finish.

93-96 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Lascombes 2018 MargauxJames Mothels bewertet den Chateau Lascombes 2018 Margaux wie folgt:

Dark and winey. with steeped currant and plum fruit forming the core, inlaid with a licorice root note and backed by a suave mesquite hint on the finish. Fine-grained. A serious wine.

92-94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Lascombes 2018 MargauxLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Lascombes 2018 Margaux wie folgt:

The 2018 Lascombes is deep garnet-purple in color and a little reduced to begin, offering tar and scorched earth notions over an emerging core of baked blackcurrants, plum preserves and charcuterie plus hints of bay leaves and underbrush. Full, richly fruited and laden with ripe black fruits and earthy suggestions, it has a solid foundation of firm, grainy tannins and finishes long and savory.

90-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Lascombes 2018 MargauxAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Lascombes 2018 Margaux wie folgt:

The 2018 Lascombes is quite attractive in this vintage. Black cherry, plum, cloves, leather, tobacco and licorice all run through a succulent, supple Margaux that will drink well with minimal cellaring. This is an especially modern, fruit-forward style.

The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Kirwan comes barreling out of the glass with notes of cedar chest, cloves and stewed plums, followed by notions of cassis, dried Provence herbs and tobacco leaf with a waft of dusty soil. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers mouth-coating, juicy black fruits with a plush texture and plenty of freshness, finishing long and earthy.

Blueberry, blackberry, black tea, dark chocolate and walnut on the nose. It’s full-bodied with firm, well integrated tannins. Silky and richly flavored. Always shows finesse. Lots of character at the finish, from wet earth and mushroom to currant and berry. Try from 2024.

93 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Kirwan 2018 Margaux Den Chateau Kirwan 2018 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
One of the few wines I wasn't able to taste from barrel, the 2018 Château Kirwan is certainly an outstanding wine now from bottle. Revealing a deep purple hue as well as beautiful notes of crème de cassis and earthy currant fruits, it's medium to full-bodied and has a kiss of background oak, plenty of spicy, floral nuances, and a great finish. It's another terrific 2018 with solid up-front appeal yet the balance, structure, and class to evolve for 20-25 years.

Saftig, elegant, süße Herzkirschen, feine, gut eingebundene Tannine, angenehme Frische, mineralisch-salzig im Abgang, schöner Appellationscharakter, gute Länge, sicheres Entwicklungspotenzial. 94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denWilliam Kelley im April 2022:
BEST EVER für den Wineadvocate.
From a beautifully situated hillside vineyard, sandwiched between Larcis Ducasse and Tertre Roteboeuf on either side, with holdings belonging to Pavie and Troplong Mondot on the plateau above, the 2019 Bellefont Belcier has turned out very well indeed. Offering up aromas of smoky berry fruit, loamy soil, subtle spices, black truffle and violets, it's full-bodied, velvety and seamless, with a vibrant, enveloping profile and a long, penetrating finish. This is a terrific effort, though given the thoughtful farming and program of replanting that is underway at this long-neglected estate, I suspect it only hints at what is to come as Jean-Christophe Meyrou and his team get to work.

95 Suckling Punkte für den James Suckling über den Chateau Bellefont-Belcier 2019 Saint Emilion:
Very attractive plum and cherry aromas with hints of flowers and wet earth, following through to a medium to full body with linear, polished tannins and a juicy finish. Juicy fruit to finish with some minerality and forest-flower undertones. A little tight, but very pure at the end. Drink after 2025.

94 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den 0Antonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Bellefont-Belcier 2019 Saint Emilion:
The 2019 Bellefont-Belcier is a wine of tremendous reserve. The 35% Cabernet Franc comes through in the wine's aromatic profile and overall feel. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2019 needs time to come together. It is a seriously impressive wine with tons of character. I have long admired Bellefont-Belcier for its potential. In the past, the tannins were simply overpowering, if the 2019 is any indication, that might be less of an issue going forward.

94 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für denUnd Neal Martoin (vinous) zum Chateau Bellefont-Belcier 2019 Saint Emilion:
The 2019 Bellefont-Belcier was very impressive from barrel, and I have no reason to change that view in bottle. This is beautifully defined on the nose, which features vivacious red fruit laced with graphite and crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiseled tannins, fine tension and an almost pastille-like, graphite-tinged finish that lingers in the mouth. Superb.
