95 Punkte von Yves Beck
(Flaschenbewertung)

Langanhaltendes Finale. 2024-2039

90 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Lousteauneuf 2019 Medoc,James Suckling im Dezember 2021:

Vibrant young red with dark-berry, walnut and crushed-stone aromas and flavors. It’s medium-bodied with chewy tannins and a slightly austere finish. Partially made in amphora. Petit verdot and merlot. Best after 2023.

95-97+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Coutet 2019 BarsacLisa Perrotti Brown beschreibt den Chateau Coutet 2019 Barsac im Juli 2020 wie folgt:

The pale lemon-gold colored 2019 Coutet is a thrill ride from the get-go, exploding from the glass with fantastically intense scents of tangerine peel, lime blossoms and lemon marmalade over a core of pineapple upside-down cake, candied ginger, ripe apricots and clover honey plus suggestions of chanterelles and musk perfume. The palate is equally electric and exhilarating, prancing around the palate with a whole myriad of candied citrus, stone fruit and citrus flavors, charged by a racy backbone of acidity, finishing beautifully textured and with an epically long firework display of minerals. Apart from all that, it is pretty darn delicious.

94 Sucklingpunkte für denJames Suckling im April 2022:

Wildflower honey, dried pineapple, candied lemon, with an exotic ginger and cumin spice here and marmalade on the nose. Waxy and luscious balanced by fresh acidity. Spicy, unctuous but also delicate. Drink now or hold.

6 Dec, 2021 – Plenty of blackberry, currant and floral aromas. Some mint as well, following through to a full-bodied palate with layers of ultra-fine tannins and wonderful length. This is sophisticated and beautifully crafted with style and personality, displaying its terroir. Extremely well done. Drink after 2025.

94+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Langoa Barton 2019 Saint JulienWilliam Kelley im April 2022:
BEST EVER im Wineadvocate

A timely classic for patient readers with cold cellars, the 2019 Langoa Barton is performing beautifully in bottle, unwinding in the glass with a rich bouquet of cassis, plums, cigar wrapper, pencil shavings and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, deep and elegantly muscular, its concentrated core of fruit is framed by lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully firm finish. Forget it for a decade and reap the rewards for the following four.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Langoa Barton 2019 Saint JulienAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Langoa Barton 2019 Saint Julien:

The 2019 Langoa-Barton is every bit as delicious as it was from barrel. The purity of the flavors is just striking. Inky red fruit, blood orange, spice, mint and pomegranate are pushed forward. This is an especially succulent, richly textured Langoa, and that's not a bad thing for a wine that in some vintages is a bit light.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Langoa Barton 2019 Saint JulienUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Langoa Barton 2019 Saint Julien:

The 2019 Langoa Barton has closed down a little on the nose since I tasted it from barrel, offering blackberry, black olive and sandalwood, quite pastille-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and beautiful definition but less structure than I remember out of barrel. Quite saline toward the finish, with a dash of white pepper. A delicious, classically-styled Langoa-Barton. Very fine. 13.92% alcohol

93 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Langoa Barton 2019 Saint JulienFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth den Chateau Langoa Barton 2019 Saint Julien:

Ripe and juicy, with a youthfully compact core of steeped plum, blueberry and black currant fruit. The finish is scored by violet and singed apple wood notes, with a tug of tar peeking in as well. Offers ample fruit and inner freshness, so this should open up soon enough. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2025 through 2038. 7,950 cases made.

Like its stablemate Langoa Barton, the 2019 Léoville Barton is a timeless classic, made for patient connoisseurs. Offering up aromas of blackcurrants, plums, pencil shavings and licorice, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, its deep core of fruit framed by a chassis of rich, powdery tannin that makes itself felt on the youthfully firm finish. While it's clearly built for the long haul, its structural seamlessness and mid-palate plenitude mark it out as one of the finest wines from this château in recent times. Could it be a more concentrated modern-day version of Anthony Barton's brilliant 1985?

97 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Jeb Dunnuck im April 2022:

The flagship 2019 Château Léoville Barton is brilliant, showing both the style of the estate as well as the vintage beautifully. It's never the biggest or richest wine, yet it has a classic, vibrant, structured style that ages beautifully. Pure cassis, black currants, scorched earth, new leather, and graphite are just some of its nuances, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a lively spine of acidity, beautiful overall balance, and a great finish. This textbook Léoville Barton demands a decade of bottle age and will keep for 30-40 years.

96 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau Leoville Barton 2019 Saint JulienJames Suckling über den Chateau Leoville Barton 2019 Saint Julien:

Currants, sweet fruit and fresh flowers on the nose. Medium-to full-bodied with firm, silky tannins that are chewy and powerful. Long and muscular, yet in a toned and polished way. Try after 2026.

96 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Leoville Barton 2019 Saint JulienAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Leoville Barton 2019 Saint Julien:

The 2019 Léoville Barton is so impressive. Rich and heady in the glass, the 2019 offers up a beguiling mix of dark fruit intermingled with scents to tobacco, gravel, pencil shavings, leather, licorice, scorched earth and cloves. Today, Léoville Barton is decidedly virile, imposing and in need of cellaring. It is also hugely impressive. Léoville Barton is one of the first Bordeaux I tasted, many years ago. It remains a favorite for its combination of quality, personality and fair price, all values the late Anthony Barton championed during his long and distinguished career.

95 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Leoville Barton 2019 Saint JulienUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Leoville Barton 2019 Saint Julien:

The 2019 Léoville Barton has a gorgeous bouquet, very delineated and quite mineral-driven, offering blackberry and briary scents, a whiff of freshly rolled tobacco and a hint of orange rind. The beautifully balanced palate features sappy black fruit and fine acidity, quite gentle at first but developing wonderful poise and weight toward the finish. I adore the way this grows in the glass but retains an appealing spiciness on the aftertaste. Superb. A testament to the late, great Anthony Barton. 13.88% alcohol

A strapping young wine, offering notes of blackberry paste, plum preserves and black currant coulis that show energy throughout, with plentiful bramble, tar and licorice root accents. The palate is beautifully proportioned and quite saline, with fine tannins and an almost pixelated finish, which delivers superb grip and density. This is an outstanding Fronsac that will live long in the bottle. Excellent.

Succulent dark cherry fruit, mocha, spice, new leather, licorice and menthol build into the voluptuous finish. Laroque balances fruit intensity with energy. It is certainly impressive in 2019. TThis estate has been delivering the goods for numerous vintages now, and the 2019 Château Tour Saint Christophe is another terrific wine. Ripe black cherries, black raspberries, graphite, new leather, and chalky minerality all define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, has a tight, straight, focused texture, ripe yet present tannins, and outstanding length. It doesn't have the mid-palate density or opulence of the 2018, but it’s more pretty, focused, and straight on the palate. Give bottles 4-5 years and enjoy over the following two decades.

The 2019 Chasse-Spleen is very perfumed on the nose, offering vivid brambly red fruit, leather, undergrowth and cedar aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied and cohesive, with a sappy opening and fine acidity. Lightly spiced, showing plenty of substance on the finish. While not the most consistent estate, Chasse-Spleen has it in its grasp to make great wines, and the 2019 is one of them.

100 Punkte Auszeichnung von Jeb DunnuckThe 2018 Château Larcis Ducasse checks in as 89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc that comes from a gorgeous hillside terroir on the Côte Pavie, located between Château Pavie and Château Bellefont-Belcier. Aged 18 months in 60% new barrels, it offers a truly sensational bouquet of ripe blackcurrants, espresso roast, scorched earth, bloody meat, chocolate, iron, and bouquet garni. A massive, super-rich Saint-Emilion with a dense, concentrated, layered mouthfeel, it has building yet sweet tannins and incredible purity of fruit. Reminding me of the 2005 shortly after release, this heavenly juice offers astonishing richness and depth while staying flawlessly balanced and elegant. Sadly, there are less than 3,000 cases produced, but this monumental, legendary wine won't hit maturity for a good 8-10 years and will have 40-50 years of longevity if well stored. Hats off to Nicolas Thienpont and consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt for producing one of the wines of the vintage as well as one of the greatest young Bordeaux I've ever tasted.

96 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Larcis Ducasse 2018 Saint Emilion wie folgt:

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Larcis Ducasse needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock notes of crushed blackberries, plum preserves and boysenberries with suggestions of black truffles, tapenade and crushed rocks coming through, building to a subtle underlying perfume of roses and cloves. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers mouth-coating black fruits and loads of savory sparks, framed by firm, slightly chewy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and earthy.

The 2018 Larcis Ducasse is one of the real overachievers of the vintage. Richness and classicism meld together in a Saint-Émilion that dazzles from the very first taste. Rich dark fruit, mocha, licorice, espresso and leather all open in the glass. Time brings out bright acids and that firm spice of Larcis tannin. More than that, though, Larcis impresses with its exquisite balance and class. It is easily one of the most undervalued wines on the Right Bank. Don't let its modest price fool you. Larcis is one the most compelling wines of the vintage. Don't miss it!

Based on 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, the 2019 Château D'Armailhac showed beautifully from barrel two years ago, and it doesn’t disappoint now from bottle. Despite the high Merlot content, it has a firmer, focused, youthful style that's going to benefit from short-term cellaring. Giving up plenty of ripe black cherry, mulberries, and cassis-like fruit as well as textbook Pauillac lead pencil, forest floor, and tobacco, it's medium to full-bodied, has good mid-palate density, subtle background oak, ripe yet building tannins, and a great finish. It shows the vintage's more elegant, classic style yet doesn't lack for concentration or length. It's going to benefit from just 3-4 years of bottle age and drink fabulously well for two decades. 92 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Franc Mayne 2016 Saint EmilionVerkostungsbericht aus Januar 2019:

The 2016 Franc Mayne is creamy and voluptuous in the glass. with striking balance and tons of persistence. Mocha. dark fruit. orange peel and spice add aromatic nuance. but it is the wine's feel and textural finesse that stand out most. This is an especially flamboyant style. but it all works beautifully.

94 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint EmilionJames Suckling über den Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint Emilion:

Blackcurrant, cherry and violet aromas follow through to a medium to full body with very well-integrated tannins that give a soft and creamy impression. Long and satisfying already, but needs another three or four years to come together. Try after 2023.

94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint EmilionWilliam Kelley im April 2022:

A terrific effort from an estate that was long one of Saint-Émilion's sleeping giants, the 2019 Laroque unwinds in the glass with aromas of cherries, licorice, loamy soil, rose petals and sweet tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with succulent aids, powdery tannins and a seamless, integrated profile. It's well worth seeking out.

94 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint EmilionPeter Moser im Februar 2022:

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Ockerrandaufhellung.

The 2019 Laroque captures all of the potential it showed as a young barrel sample. Succulent and racy to the core, with striking depth, Laroque is voluptuous, creamy and wonderfully inviting right out of the gate. Succulent dark cherry fruit, mocha, spice, new leather, licorice and menthol build into the voluptuous finish. Laroque balances fruit intensity with energy. It is certainly impressive in 2019. Tasted two times.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint EmilionUnd Neal Martoin (Vinous) zum Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint Emilion:

The 2019 Laroque has impressive transparency and focus on the nose, which is well-delineated and mineral-driven, the oak seamlessly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit and fine grip, and lightly spiced with a touch of black pepper toward the finish. A superb Laroque from winemaker David Siure.

92 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint EmilionFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth den Chateau Laroque 2019 Saint Emilion:

Still a touch reticent but it's all there, from the dark plum and warmed cassis notes to the underpinning of warm loam and sweet tobacco accents. Features fine-grained tannins, with good cut through the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2023 through 2035. 11,800 cases made, 1,840 cases imported.

The currant and light vanilla come through on the nose with some flowers, too. It’s full-bodied with lots of rich fruit and chewy tannins that need to soften. Powerful and intense. Try after 2024.

95 Puntke vom Wine Advocate für denLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Fonplegade 2018 Saint Emilion Grand Cru wie folgt:

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Fonplegade needs no convincing, charging out of the gate with bold notions of black cherry preserves, mulberries and ripe, juicy black plums, leading to suggestions of Indian spices, dried roses and smoked meats plus a touch of tar. The medium to full-bodied palate is beautifully crafted, dripping with poise and sophistication, draped in plush tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering black cherry note. A very polished showing!

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für denAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Fonplegade 2018 Saint Emilion Grand Cru wie folgt:

The 2018 Fonplégade is super-elegant and refined. Some of the youthful exuberance the 2018 showed from barrel has naturally subsided, revealing a Saint-Émilion of real finesse and nuance. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, spice, blood orange and cinnamon are all beautifully layered. Even so, the 2018 was a bit more impressive en primeur. Hopefully, it is just closed post-bottling. We will see.

The 2016 Bibian has a tightly-wound bouquet that demands more coaxing than its peers. eventually revealing pure blackberries. raspberry. cedar and light mint aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. very pure and polished with some classy new oak assiduously blended. This is a classy offering and one of the best Cru Bourgeois that I have tasted this vintage. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.

Tangy and bright with vivid acidity and lots of dark-berry and citrus character plus a hint of smoke. Medium body and a long finish. Another winner after 2015.

Dichter und satter Kern, frische intensiv fruchtige Nase. süssliche kleine Beeren. Schwarzkirsche.

Graceful in feel, this delivers cassis and bitter plum notes infused with bergamot and floral hints that all carry through a refined, mineral-tinged finish. A charming, understated wine. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2030.

93 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Dalem 2018 Fronsac Subskription wie folgt:

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Dalem has a deep garnet-purple color and compelling notes of blackberry preserves, wild blueberries and ripe, juicy black plums, with hints of dark chocolate, licorice and black olives. The full-bodied palate (15% alcohol) appears bright and fresh with the lively black fruits framed by soft, velvety tannins, finishing long and savory. Nicely done!

The 2018 Dalem is quite backward on the nose, opening gradually to offer blackberry, licorice and very light menthol aromas; you just want to give the aromatics a polite kick up the backside. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Quite juicy in the mouth, delivering black cherries and cassis toward the well-defined, persistent finish. Excellent, but give it 24 months in bottle, because the nose needs time to find its mojo.

Langanhaltendes Finale. 2024-2039
