14 Jan, 2022 – A perfumed nose of mulberries, dark cherries, earth, black tea, cloves and cedar. Full-bodied with tight, sinewy tannins. Well structured and balanced with a fleshy texture and a flavorful, long finish. Big wine. Drink from 2025.

91 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Capbern 2019 Saint EstepheAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Capbern 2019 Saint Estephe
The 2019 Capbern is ripe and flamboyant, with soft edges and superb balance. It's a big wine, there is no doubt about that, and yet it also boasts terrific harmony. Dark fruit, new leather, licorice and chocolate build as the 2019 gains intensity through the mid-palate and into the finish. The 15.1% alcohol is not terribly evident.

92 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Für den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth den Chateau Capbern 2019 Saint Estephe:
Alluring, with range and character, showing black tea, sweet bay leaf, violet, black currant preserve and singed alder hints. This is carried by a substantial but fine-grained structure, ending with a late sanguine hint. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2032.

94 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Capbern 2019 Saint EstepheJeb Dunnuck im April 2022:
I love the nose on the 2019 Château Capbern, a medium to full-bodied, spicy, rich, tobacco and cedar pencil-filled beauty with ripe yet building tannins, a great mix of richness and freshness, and a blockbuster of a finish. It's incredibly impressive, and while it offers pleasure even today, it deserves 5-6 years of bottle age, and I can't imagine it not evolving for two decades.

Notes of ripe blackberries and blueberries with black licorice, tree bark, chocolate and moist earth. Medium- to full-bodied and dense. It has layers of ultra-fine tannins wrapping up the deep core of dark fruit. Structured and velvety with a long finish. Try after 2026.

96 Punkte bei Jeb Dunnuck Den Chateau Sansonnet 2020 Saint Emilion beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
Another head-turning vintage from this château, the 2020 Château Sansonnet is based on 95% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc, from yields of 36 hectoliters per hectare, that was raised in 80% new barrels. Possessing incredible purity in its black raspberry and cassis fruit as well as notes of white flowers, camphor, and spicy oak, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, polished, ultra-fine tannins, flawless balance, and a great, great finish. This estate, under the guidance of Marie and Christophe Lefévère, has had a shocking string of truly incredible vintages, and given that these continue to be undervalued in the market, it's the wine lovers and wine drinkers out there who benefit. If you get a chance, don't miss this beauty.

94 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Den Chateau Sansonnet 2020 Saint Emilion beschreibt Fallstaff wie folgt:
Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, opaker Kern, zarte Randaufhellung. Edelholz, schwarze Waldbeeren, Lakritze, feine florale Nuancen, kandierte Orangenzesten, etwas Dörrfeigen. Komplex, rote Kirschen, feine Fruchtsüße, runde, samtige Tannine, sehr gute Frische, versteckt am Gaumen seine Muskeln sehr gekonnt, mineralisch und lange anhaftend, sicheres Zukunftspotenzial, braucht noch etwas Zeit.

92+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Chasse Spleen 2019 Moulis en MedocFür den Wine Advocate beurteilt William Kelley den Chateau Chasse Spleen 2019 Moulis en Medoc:
Offering up aromas of cassis, plums, pencil lead and licorice, the 2019 Chasse-Spleen is medium to full-bodied, with a fleshy core of fruit, lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the finish with a very civilized expression of Moulis-typical grip. Forget it for a decade and follow it for the next two.

92 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau Chasse Spleen 2019 Moulis en MedocJames Suckling über den Chateau Chasse Spleen 2019 Moulis en Medoc:
Aromas of cassis, black cherries, licorice, dried tobacco and wet earth. Some leafy character, too. Medium-bodied with chewy tannins and vibrant, juicy fruit character. Firm and compact with hints of crushed stones in the finish. A little timid at the end. 52% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot, 6% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc. Drink after 2024.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Chasse Spleen 2019 Moulis en MedocUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Chasse Spleen 2019 Moulis en Medoc:
The 2019 Chasse-Spleen is very perfumed on the nose, offering vivid brambly red fruit, leather, undergrowth and cedar aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied and cohesive, with a sappy opening and fine acidity. Lightly spiced, showing plenty of substance on the finish. While not the most consistent estate, Chasse-Spleen has it in its grasp to make great wines, and the 2019 is one of them.

Den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2020 Labégorce has turned out nicely, bursting with aromas of cherries, berries and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and ample palate. Fleshy and layered, this contemporary-styled Margaux will drink well young.

93 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
A forward, textured, already delicious wine, the 2020 Château Labégorce offers lots of red and black fruit as well as notes of cedar, smoke tobacco, and chocolate. Based on 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new barrels, it has perfectly integrated oak, ripe, fine-grained tannins, and outstanding overall balance. Give bottles just a year or three and enjoy over the following 10-15 years or more.

92-93 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Labegorce 2020
James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Folgendes:
A tight, compact Labégorce with blackcurrant, walnut and some graphite. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a solid core of tannins and fruit. Some lead pencil. Very structured for this estate.

91-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Labegorce 2020Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Labegorce:
The 2020 Labégorce was picked 16 September to 1 October and raised in 40% new oak, the remainder one year old. It has a perfumed bouquet with brambly red fruit, wild strawberry mixed with raspberry preserve and rose petal, hints of orange rind emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, classic in style with a fine bead of acidity that imparts plenty of freshness. More black fruit on the palate compared to the nose with a saline finish, this is a fine Margaux that has a suppleness suggesting it will drink early after bottling.

95+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Durfort Vivens 2020 MargauxDen Durfort Vivens 2020 beschreibt William Kelley im April 2023 wie folgt:
The 2020 Durfort Vivens has turned out beautifully, unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark cherries and berries mingled with hints of licorice, baking chocolate and mint. Medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy, it's layered and concentrated, with lively acids and broad structural shoulders, its generous endowment of powdery tannin asserting itself on the youthfully firm finish. More tightly wound than the extroverted, charming 2019, the 2020 will demand patience, but it's a very strong performance for this estate.

96 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Durfort Vivens 2020 Margaux Den Durfort Vivens 2020 beschreibt James Suckling im Januar 2023 wie folgt:
Aromas of blackberries, black olives, lead pencil and blueberries. Full-bodied with very velvety tannins. It’s big and rich for Margaux, but then it tightens at the finish. It will come around with bottle age. One for the cellar. 88% cabernet sauvignon and 12% merlot. From biodynamically grown grapes. Try after 2026.

13 Jan, 2022 – This shows beautiful density and focus. Medium-to full-bodied palate with a solid core of fruit and a walnut, spice and sweet-tobacco aftertaste to the plums and cherries. Subtle and nicely structured. Drink after 2025.

90 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Pindefleurs 2019 Saint EmilionAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Pindefleurs 2019 Saint Emilion:
The 2019 Pindefleurs is plump, juicy and easygoing, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Succulent dark cherry, plum, spice, tobacco and leather are nicely pushed forward. Soft, polished tannins and bright acids on the finish round things out nicely.

91 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für denUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Pindefleurs 2019 Saint Emilion:
The 2019 Pindefleurs is what you might call a "useful" Saint-Émilion. It has a well-defined, expressive nose of vivacious red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, full of joie-de-vivre. The palate is medium-bodied and quite sweet, with fleshy ripe tannins and flavors of raspberry, black currant and white pepper. The slightly spicy finish demonstrates admirable structure.

The 2019 Labégorce is a rich, heady wine. Succulent black cherry, plum, espresso, licorice, menthol and chocolate are all dialed up. Readers will find an extroverted, lush Margaux. Soft curves and layers of plush fruit add to its considerable immediacy.

94 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Labegorce 2019 MargauxUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Labegorce 2019 Margaux:

The 2019 Labégorce was the first vintage vinified in the new cellar and also the first to use Cabernet Franc from the north part of the appellation, on more limestone soils, a massal selection from an organic producer in the south of France. Matured in 40% new oak, this has a voluminous, multifaceted bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, cedar and perhaps more rose petal than violet at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, very well balanced, and a little spicier than I found from barrel, leading to a detailed, tensile finish.

The 2019 Dalem offers almost Burgundian purity on the nose, where blackberry, bilberry, crushed stone and pressed iris petal commingle. The palate is beautifully proportioned and quite saline, with fine tannins and an almost pixelated finish, which delivers superb grip and density. This is an outstanding Fronsac that will live long in the bottle. Excellent.

94 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Dalem 2019 FronsacJeb Dunnuck im April 2022:

The 2015 Malartic Lagraviere has enjoyed a fine run of form in recent vintages. This is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot with smaller portions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It has a comparatively flamboyant bouquet for the appellation with scents of raspberry, crushed strawberry, cedar and a touch of graphite that lends it a Pauillac-like veneer. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity, more black than red fruit infused with pencil lead and smoke. It fans out wonderfully toward the finish, completing a wonderful Malartic Lagravière that will age with panache.

The 2015 Malartic Lagravière is just as fabulous from bottle as it was from barrel. Rich, voluptuous and dramatic, it captures all of the natural intensity of the year. Black cherry, plum, mocha, chocolate, licorice and French oak build into a crescendo of stunning aromas, flavors and textures. This is in an especially dark, sumptuous style, but it all works beautifully. The 2015 was positively thrilling each of the three times I tasted it.
