97 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau La Grave (Trigant de Boisset) 2019 PomerolJames Suckling über den Chateau La Grave (Trigant de Boisset) 2019 Pomerol:

Such beautiful perfumes to this, with floral, dark-olive, orange-peel and berry aromas that follow through to a full body with lovely layers and polished tannins. Fine, creamy texture. Flavorful finish. Such class. One of the best in a long time from here. Try after 2026 and onwards.

91 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Antonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau La Grave (Trigant de Boisset) 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 La Grave is vivid and welcoming on the nose, offering perfumed morello cherry, raspberry preserve, desiccated orange peel and light figgy scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. Quite "solid" and perhaps just a little monotone compared to J-P Moueix’s other charges. I would just like to see more tension and clarity on the finish. I will be conservative with my score for now.

89 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Und Neal Martin (Vinous) beschreibt den Chateau La Grave (Trigant de Boisset) 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 La Grave is powerful and a bit rustic, but also impeccably balanced. Dark cherry, gravel cured meat, spice, tobacco and game are all kicked up in this decidedly rustic yet flavorful Pomerol.

92 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau La Grave (Trigant de Boisset) 2019 PomerolFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth den Chateau La Grave (Trigant de Boisset) 2019 Pomerol:

This captures the warm, seductive fruit of the vintage better than most of its peers, offering waves of melted black licorice, plum reduction and blackberry preserves, with black tea and warm earth hints as it's carried by a velvety structure through the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2023 through 2036. 1,550 cases made, 40 cases imported.

Der Beste seit dem 1982er!

The high point in the Mouieux portfolio this year is the 2019 Latour à Pomerol, a terrific wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, sweet berries, rose petals, cigar wrapper and loamy soil. Full-bodied, ample and concentrated, it's seamless and layered, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a vibrant, beautifully balanced profile.

97 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Hosanna 2019 PomerolAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Hosanna 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Hosanna is fabulous, just as it was from barrel. Inky, rich and explosive, the 2019 possesses off the charts fruit intensity. As always Hosanna leans towards the dark side of black/blue fruit. An exotic mélange of tar, gravel, licorice, incense and spice builds in the glass, filling out the layers effortlessly. Soft contours give Hosanna its allure, but I would not be in any rush here. The balance of opulent fruit and structure makes for a super-compelling Pomerol.

97 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Hosanna 2019 PomerolJeb Dunnuck im April 2022:

Another beautiful Pomerol, the 2019 Château Hosanna comes from a small 11-acre vineyard composed of a mix of gravel and clay soils. Its deep ruby/plum color is followed by a terrific perfume of spiced red and black cherries, blueberries, leafy tobacco, damp earth, and chocolate. It gains richness and depth with time in the glass and is medium to full-bodied, has a plush, seamless texture, gorgeous tannins, and no hard edges. It epitomizes the elegance paired with opulence that only Pomerol seems capable of producing. This beauty is already impossible to resist (it needs a decant) yet will evolve for 30 years or more.

97 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Hosanna 2019 PomerolUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) beschreibt den Chateau Hosanna 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Hosanna is a Pomerol that demands, and deserves, attention. It sprints out of the blocks with intense blackberry, raspberry, incense and blood orange scents, lavish and luxuriant while retaining superb delineation. The palate is medium-bodied, multilayered and mouth-filling, delivering saturated tannins and pure black fruit; just a very faint suggestion of fresh prune and fig appears toward the finish. This Hosanna takes it to the brink of overripeness. A Pomerol blessed with what you might call "optimal hedonism."

Captures the dark, lush and opulent fruit of the vintage, with boysenberry, fig and blackberry reduction notes in a much more refined frame than most, offering a remarkably silky and persistent structure that lets the fruit play out. Best from 2024 through 2038. 800 cases made, 77 cases imported.

100 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck Chateau Trotanoy 2019 PomerolJeb Dunnuck im April 2022:

Reminding me a little of the 1998, the 2019 Château Trotanoy is all Merlot sourced from a 7-hectare vineyard planted on dark clay and gravelly soils. A prodigious wine in every way, it offers a serious, dense, powerful, full-bodied style as well as notes of ripe black cherries, damp earth, tobacco, cedar pencil, and graphite. As with the other top wines in the vintage, it has an incredible sense of purity and precision, building, firm tannins, awesome mid-palate depth, and a huge finish. It's not for those seeking instant gratification and is much more structured and backward than I would have thought from barrel. It needs a solid decade of bottle age and will have 40+ years of longevity. It's another brilliant, brilliant wine from this team that I wish every reader could taste.

98 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau Trotanoy 2019 PomerolJames Suckling über den Chateau Trotanoy 2019 Pomerol:

16 Jan, 2022 – Aromas of peanut brittle, blackberries, crushed stones, violets and blueberries. Full-bodied and powerful with layers of creamy, velvety and juicy tannins. A classic Trotanoy with true character of itself. Wonderful length and character. Best after 2027.

97 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Trotanoy 2019 PomerolAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Trotanoy 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Trotanoy is powerful and brooding, and yet it is also less forbidding at this stage than most vintages. The feeling is one of breadth and gravitas, as black fruit, gravel, smoke, tar and incense lend distinctly sepia-toned inflections throughout. Trotanoy needs time, as it always does, but the 2019 should start drinking well on the earlier side, in relative terms, of course.

99 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Trotanoy 2019 PomerolUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) beschreibt denChateau Trotanoy 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Trotanoy is blessed with ineffable delineation on the pure, focused nose, which features touches of pencil lead and sous-bois embroidered through a mélange of red and black fruit. Astounding. The palate is perfectly balanced with seamlessly integrated oak and a cashmere texture, complete and oozing effortless class. I don’t know whether to drink or elope with this Pomerol. Better, perhaps, to stick it away in a cool damp cellar for a decade and then make all your friends jealous when you serve it. A serious contender for wine of the vintage.

97 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für denFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth den Chateau Trotanoy 2019 Pomerol:

Dense and ripe but with a sleekness and sense of reserve, as the core of cassis, blackberry paste and fig pâte de fruit notes is flanked by warm earth, roasted alder and tobacco notes. The finish is underscored by a bolt of cast iron, with everything knitting steadily through to the end. Offers a serious tarry grip, too. Best from 2026 through 2042. 1,250 cases made, 162 cases imported.

Stoffig, schokoladig, gleichzeitig voller Kirschfrucht und Frische, tragende, reife Tannine, mineralisch und anhaftend, zeigt sehr große Länge, wirkt bei aller Kraft ungemein lebendig im Abgang, bleibt sehr lange haften, großes Zukunftspotenzial.

90 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Antonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Plince 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Plince is a burly, rustic Pomerol. There is certainly a good bit of depth, but the tannins are coarse and very much present in the wine's overall feel. Dark cherry, plum, leather, licorice and game build into the hearty, resonant finish.

90 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Und Neal Martin (Vinous) beschreibt den Chateau Plince 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Plince has a well-defined nose of blackberry, blueberry and quite potent incense/potpourri aromas that flourish with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, and quite strict and linear, perhaps displaying just a bit of hardness toward the briny finish. Afford this 3–4 years in bottle – it has more to give.

95 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Feytit Clinet 2019 PomerolAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Feytit Clinet 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Feytit-Clinet is superb. In most vintages, Feytit-Clinet is one of the more intense and tannic Pomerols. In 2019, though, some of that intensity is dialed down. On the plus side, though, that means the 2019 will drink well with minimal cellaring. Inky dark fruit, licorice, graphite, lavender, dried herbs and rose petal build into the sumptuous, creamy finish. Usually I advise cellaring Feytit-Clinet, but that will be less necessary in 2019. As always, Feytit-Clinet is one of the most distinctive wines in the Right Bank.

95 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Feytit Clinet 2019 PomerolUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) beschreibt denChateau Feytit Clinet 2019 Pomerol:

The 2019 Feytit-Clinet has a stunning bouquet of pure red fruit, crushed stone and light rose petal scents; a hint of black truffle emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with good depth, the 70% new French oak a little more prominent than usual at the moment, though that will be subsumed with time. Very balanced and persistent, this is a bolder style of Feytit, but Jeremy Chasseuil pulls it off.

Esperance de Trotanoy 2018 Pomerol Zweitwein Chateau Trotanoy

Zweitwein von Chateau Trotanoy
90% Merlot 10% Cabernet Franc

Very pretty and subtle aromas of blackcurrants and violets follow through to a medium body with firm tannins and a delicate finish. Crisp. Try after 2023.

The 2017 Vieux Chateau Certan is a blend of 81% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from the highest point on the Pomerol plateau. Deep purple, with a heavenly bouquet of creme de cassis, blueberries, scorched earth, crushed violets, tobacco, and earth, this beauty is full-bodied, has incredible depth of fruit, ripe, present tannins, integrated acidity, and a great finish. This estate has been on fire of late, and this is undoubtedly a worthy follow-on to the otherworldly 2015 and 2016. It has the depth of fruit and texture to offer pleasure even today, yet a solid 7-8 years of cellaring are warranted, and it should be long-lived. Bravo!

99 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau L Evangile 2015 PomerolIn the running for the most opulent, sensationally textured, massive wine in the vintage is the 2015 L'Evangile and if tasting this beauty doesn’t make your heart rate increase, I don’t know what will. Made from 84% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Franc brought up in plenty of new oak, its ruby/plum color is followed by an awesome bouquet of blackberry jam, smoked meats, licorice, truffle, and hints of chocolate. Thick, opulent, super ripe, and decadent, with a full-bodied mouthfeel that needs to be tasted to be believed, it still stays balanced and fresh on the palate and is already impossible to resist. It’s going to keep for 3+ decades. This is one of those wines I wish every reader could taste!

99 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Tasted on four separate occasions, the 2016 Château Clinet is another brilliant wine from this estate. Showing slightly more freshness and purity than the 2015, its saturated purple color is followed by a thrilling array of crème de cassis, graphite, ground herbs, and a terrific sense of minerality. Deep, full-bodied, with building tannins, and a magical sense of purity and elegance paired with real density and depth, it needs short term cellaring and will keep for three decades.

Silky and seductive on the palate. the 2016 is all about precision and energy in the early going. It is also one of the most quite. soft-spoken Pomerols of the vintage. Hints of blackberry. lavender. licorice and spice add nuance. but in 2016 La Conseillante stands out for its sublime balance and total sense of harmony. The 2016 spent 17 months in oak. 70% new. As gorgeous as the 2016 is. my impression is that the best is yet to come. Since arriving at La Conseillante. Cazaux has changed much in the farming of the property. including introducing cover crops and limiting yields. She also now works with no sulfites in winemaking and opts for lower temperatures in fermentation. In other words. the full results of all of that work is yet to be seen. The 2018 Trotanoy is a bold, powerful wine. In this vintage, some of the imposing structure that is such a Trotanoy signature has been replaced by super-expressive aromatics and striking detail. Dried herbs, iron, gravel and crushed rose petals all lend gorgeous savory nuance to a core of potent red berry fruit. Trotanoy is a Pomerol for those who can be patient. Another heavenly Pomerol in the vintage, the 2018 Château Trotanoy checks in as 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc brought up in (I suspect) lots of new French oak (although it's certainly not apparent). Revealing a dense purple hue as well as a smorgasbord-like bouquet of blackcurrants, dried flowers, cured meats, violets, tobacco, and chocolate, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a sexy, seductive texture, building yet sweet tannins, and just a rich, concentrated, yet flawless profile on the palate that's already impossible to resist. Nevertheless, a good 7-8 years of bottle age are warranted, and this magical elixir is going to evolve for 40 years or more.

The 2018 Trotanoy is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it slowly unfurls to reveal a jaw-dropping perfume of Black Forest cake, black raspberries, blackberry pie and kirsch, followed by hints of cast-iron pan, violets, woodsmoke, Chinese five spice and eucalyptus, with a waft of tree bark. The full-bodied palate explodes with exotic spice and mineral fireworks, grounded by a concentrated, black and red berry preserves core and framed by firm, grainy tannins, finishing with epic length and depth. It will need a good five years in bottle to tame some of the youthfully overt, showy fruit and allow the mineral and earth nuances to emerge, then it should easily cellar another 35 years or more

The 2019 Lagrange (Pomerol) is a pleasant, easygoing Pomerol to drink now and over the next handful of years. An initial burst of sweet red-toned fruit is promising, but the 2019 is a bit lacking in the mid-palate, and that seems to allow the oak to stick out. Lagrange is certainly a pleasant wine, but its charms are best enjoyed on the young side.

98+ Parker Punkte für den Chateau La Conseillante 2016 PomerolLisa Perrotti Brown am 30.11.2018

The 2016 La Conseillante is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc aged in 70% new and 30% one-year-old French oak for 17 months. Deep garnet-purple colored. it slips provocatively out of the glass with a lifted perfume of roses. candied violets and lavender over a core of warm red and black plums. chocolate box. unsmoked cigars and baked cherries with wafts of wild thyme and tilled soil. Medium-bodied. the palate exudes polish and sophistication with bags of fragrance. freshness and energy. sporting exquisitely fine-grained tannins and finishing very long and minerally. Around 3.808 cases produced.

97 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau La Conseillante 2016 PomerolVerkostungsbericht aus Januar 2019:

The 2016 La Conseillante is a brilliant wine from the team led by Technical Director Marielle Cazaux. Polished and sophisticated. the 2016 possesses stunning vertical lift. with soaring aromatics that make a strong first impression. For now. though. the 2016 Conseillante is a pretty special wine. Don't miss it. Tasted two times.

99 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau La Conseillante 2016 PomerolJames Suckling Januar 2019:

The aromas of violets and dark berries with licorice and sweet black tea are so attractive. What really impresses is the sweet fruit in the dense middle palate. So attractive. At the same time. there’s plenty of plush and ripe tannins that give the wine form and brightness. And it still remains bright on the finish. as the tannins roll on. A great Conseillante. Try after 2024.
