Very crunchy and salty with almost a hint of white pepper. Medium-bodied with firm tannins and a fresh finish. Bright. 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc.

A consistently outstanding wine, as well as a wine that usually represents a great value, the 2022 Château Cap De Faugères reveals a deep ruby/purple hue as well as a great nose of red and blue fruits, smoked tobacco, graphite, and some underbrush/leafy herb nuances. It's medium-bodied, nicely concentrated, and balanced, with a good sense of elegance.

Rich, deep, dark and fruity, from start to finish you find layers of chocolate-coated, black fruits, licorice, black cherries, and espresso. The wine is plush, round, polished and forward, with a touch of salt and more dark, plummy fruits on the backend. The wine was blended with 85% Merlot, and15% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2025-2034

Nicely aromatic on the nose, soft floral touches and dark fruits. Quite tannic and extracted on the palate, feels intensely concentrated and compact right now with all the tannins are the fore, massy, ripe and slightly toasted. There is a juiciness underneath the tannins, with mouthwatering acidity but it's overshadowed right now with crushed stones, clove, tobacco and liquorice. Doesn't quite have the easy enjoyment but this is well worked with tannins that are full but not harsh, textured but not too dry. Will be good to retaste in bottle. Harvest 6-28 September. Yield of 37hl/ha. Ageing for 12 months in stainless steel.
