98 Parker punkte für den Chateau Haut Bailly 2016 Pessac LeognanLisa Perrotti Brown am 30.11.2018
The 2016 Haut-Bailly is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. The nose opens with beautiful floral notes of violets and lavender accented with earthy notions and sparks of crushed rocks over a core of kirsch. cassis and wild blueberries. Full-bodied. rich and seductive. it has layer upon layer of red. black and blue fruits intermingled with earth and mineral hints leading to a very long. perfumed finish.

97+ Punkte vinous / Galloni für den Chateau Haut Bailly 2016 Pessac LeognanAntonio Galloni bewertet den Haut Bailly 2016 im Januar 2019 wie folgt:
A big. vertical wine. the 2016 Haut-Bailly explodes onto the palate with tremendous depth and intensity. Readers should be in no rush to drink the 2016. as it won't be close to ready to drink for at least a decade. and I say that as an eternal optimist. Black cherry. smoke. tobacco. cedar. gravel and incense add to the wine's decidedly somber personality.

98 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Haut Bailly 2016 Pessac LeognanJames Suckling im Februar 2019:
Wonderful aromas of tobacco. sweet fruit and licorice follow through to a full body with ultra-fine tannins that caress every inch of your palate. Love the length and subtlety to this young wine. Gorgeous. Drink after 2024.

97 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Haut Bailly 2016 Pessac LeognanNeal Martin im Januar 2019:
The 2016 Haut-Bailly was mightily impressive when tasted from barrel. Now. matured in 50% new oak and bottled at the end of April 2018 (they prefer to bottle before spring here). it has a very well defined bouquet of black fruit. graphite. crushed stone and light rose petal aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with quite grippy tannin. This Haut-Bailly feels pure and classic in style. offering well-judged acidity and a sophisticated. quite tensile finish that lingers long in the mouth. I suspect this might close down in a year or two and deserves perhaps 8 to 10 years in bottle to show what it can really do. The best Haut-Bailly in the modern era? For certain.

The 2016 Les Carmes Haut-Brion is a blend of 41% Cabernet Franc. 39% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 65% new and 35% one-year-old oak for 22 months. This is one of the largest percentages of Cabernet Franc for this wine this vintage. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored. it gives notes of kirsch. black raspberries and black plums with touches of cassis. violets. chocolate box and pencil shavings. The palate is medium-bodied. firm. grainy and lively with loads of layers and a long. well-poised finish.

98 Punkte Vinous / Galloni für den Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion 2016 Pessac LeognanAntonio Galloni bewertet den Les Carmes Haut Brion 2016 im Januar 2019 wie folgt:
The 2016 Les Carmes Haut-Brion is very clearly one of the wines of the vintage. Breathtaking in its beauty. the 2016 soars from the glass with stunning aromatic and flavor intensity. Red cherry jam. wild flowers. mint. blood orange and sage are some of many notes that develop. In the glass. the 2016 is a vivid. statuesque. exotic wine that takes over all the senses as it delivers tons of pure pleasure. Readers should plan on cellaring the 2016 for at least a few years. but that will be virtually impossible. The 2016 is a towering masterpiece from Les Carmes Haut-Brion and Technical Director Guillaume Pouthier. Tasted three times.

90-92 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Le C des Carmes Haut Brion 2016 Pessac LeognanNeil Martin im April 2017:
The 2016 Le C des Carmes Haut-Brion comes from vines located in the clos over towards Martillac, rather than the vines in the original Les Carmes Haut-Brion vineyard in the Bordeaux suburbs, known as "Le Clos des Carmes Haut-Brion" up until the 2013 vintage. It is a blend of 51% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvigon and 1% Petit Verdot, matured in 30% new oak and the remainder one year old barrels. This includes 25% whole berry fruit. It offers plenty of brambly black fruit on the nose, crushed violets, fresh fig and a touch of spice that opens nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, neatly integrated oak, a little plushness on the entry thanks to the Merlot, and then it dovetails into a more structured, gently grippy, chalk-textured finish with attractive black fruit. Give this two or three years in bottle just to shave off a little abrasiveness and you will have a fine Pessac-Léognan.

93 Sucklingpunkte für den Le C des Carmes Haut Brion 2016 Pessac LeognanVerkostungsbericht vom 08. April 2019:
A succulent and savory young wine with fine and polished tannins that start well and finish very long. Medium body with chocolate. hazelnut. plum and wet-leaf flavors. Lasts a long time on the finish. Delicious now. but better after 2021.

92 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau de La Riviere 2020 FronsacJames Suckling beschreibt ihn im Januar 2023 wie folgt:
A fresh and firm Fronsac with vibrant cherries, spices and some stony minerality to the nose. Medium-bodied palate garners chalky and fresh tannins that linger with the fruit in a long but nuanced finish. Juicy and really drinkable. Enjoy now, but can hold well for four to six years.

91 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau de La Riviere 2020 Fronsac Den Chateau de La Riviere 2020 Fronsac beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
The 2020 Château De La Rivière is an outstanding Fronsac offering juicy darker, almost blue fruits, medium-bodied richness, classy spring flower and graphite aromatics, fine tannins, and a great finish. It shows the classic, fresher, focused, yet still concentrated style of the vintage and is well worth following over the coming 5-7 years, probably longer.

88-90 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau de la Riviere 2020Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau de la Riviere:
The 2020 Château de la Rivière is perfumed on the nose and quite floral and pure, offering crushed violets and a hint of lavender that complements the red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a crisp, smooth texture and just a nuanced sapidity on the finish that urges you to take another sip. This is a much better Château de la Rivière compared to the 2018.

88-90 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Citran 2018 Haut MedocLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Citran 2018 Haut Medoc wie folgt:

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Citran is a touch mute to begin, unfurling to offer very pretty notes of warm raspberries, fresh blackcurrants and kirsch over nuances of potpourri, chocolate box and crushed stones. Full-bodied with fantastic freshness lifting the intense red and black fruit layers, it has a firm. grainy frame and a long, perfumed finish. Nice!

88-91 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Citran 2018 Haut MedocAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Citran 2018 Haut Medoc wie folgt:

The 2018 Citran is terrific. Dark, fleshy and expressive, the 2018 has so much to offer. Dark cherry, chocolate, licorice and spice are pushed forward in a delicious, racy Haut-Medoc that will drink well with minimal cellaring. This is a fabulous wine in its peer group und vergibt ihm 88-91 Punkte.
