Chateau Clos Fourtet 2015 mit 94+ Parker Punkten bewertetLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Clos Fourtet 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:
The 2015 Clos Fourtet is a blend of 90% Merlot. 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. and it was picked between 18 September and 12 October. It has a voluminous bouquet with sweet cassis and blueberry aromas. rather smudged with violets coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannin. ripe and voluptuous. dark chocolate infusing the red and black fruit with a touch of mint on the structured. graceful finish. What a fabulous Saint Emilion from Mathieu Cuvelier and his team - Clos Fourtet with breeding and class. It deserves 5-8 years in bottle.

Chateau Clos Fourtet 2015 Saint Emilion mit 97 Punkten bei VinousAntonio Galloni bewertet den Clos Fourtet 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:
Clos Fourtet is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty in 2015. Powerful. vivid and wonderfully nuanced. it exudes class. Inky red/purplish stone fruit. lavender. spice. mint and orange peel give the 2015 its myriad shades of nuance. but it is the wine's balance and total sense of harmony that elevate it to the realm of the profound. In 2015. Clos Fourtet has a bit more body and resonance than is typically the case. Beneath all of the fruit. however. the 2015 has more than enough energy and structural underpinning to drink well for many years. This is a stunning wine from the Cuvelier family and consulting winemakers Stéphane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu. The blend is 88% Merlot. 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc. Tasted three times.

Thoroughly ripe but seemingly light-footed. as a remarkably silky structure lets waves of plum sauce. blueberry reduction and raspberry puree glide through effortlessly. Light licorice. violet and ganache hints add to the finish. showing very fine chalky minerality in the background. Drink now through 2035. 4.417 cases made.

Very intense blackberries, black olives, blueberries and dried flowers. Stony minerality. Even some pine. Full-bodied with superb depth of fruit and ultra fine tannins that are intense and polished. The finish is so long and delivers so much flavor, from wet earth to blackberry again. Seamless palate. Try after 2026.

98 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Belair Monange 2018 Saint Emilion wie folgt:
Made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Belair Monange rolls effortlessly out of the glass with gregarious scents of black cherry preserves, stewed plums and boysenberries, plus suggestions of Indian spices, rose oil, Ceylon tea and garrigue, with a waft of tilled soil. The rich, seductive, full-bodied palate is laden with black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers, framed by velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant. Wonderfully hedonic and conceivably drinkable now, give it 4-5 years in the cellar to allow the earthy/savory nuances to fully emerge from within the fruit and drink it over the next 25 years or more.

98 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für denJeb Dunnuck beschreibt den Wein in seiner Verkostungsnotis vom 11.03.2021 wie folgt:
An incredible expression of Merlot grown on limestone soils, the 2018 Château Belair-Monange (90/10 Merlot and Cabernet Franc) sports a dense purple hue as well as powerful notes of blackcurrants, kirsch liqueur, flowery incense, chalky minerality, and white truffle. Rich, full-bodied, and beautifully concentrated, it's a serious 2018 offering integrated oak, ripe yet building tannins, and one hell of a great finish. The finest vintage of this cuvée I've tasted, it's a wine to seek out and hide in the cellar for a good 5-7 years. It's going to evolve for 30-40 years.

97 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Belair Monange 2016Neal Martin im Januar 2019:
The 2016 Bélair-Monange is easily the most closed of all of J-P Moueix’s wines when I taste them together. It is stubbornly tight in the glass and then coquettishly unfurls mineral-rich red berry fruit mixed with rose petals; the perfume is captivating. The palate is well balanced. with velvety tannin and perfectly judged acidity. and very. very harmonious. More and more black fruit seems to join the chorus line toward the finish. which fans out gloriously. demonstrating superlative persistence. The best Bélair-Monange to date. and an accomplished. riveting Saint-Émilion. (tasted December 2018)

17 Jan, 2022 – Wonderful aromas of fresh flowers, blackberries and cherries. Licorice and lilacs, too. Full-bodied, yet so tight and refined, translucent and weightless. Incredible purity and excellence. This is the heart and soul of the property in a glass. Really pinpointed at the end. Enchanting and thought-provoking. Needs time to open and soften. Try after 2028.

98 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Belair Monange 2019 Saint EmilionJeb Dunnuck im April 2022:
The flagship 2019 Château Belair-Monange checks in as 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc from 25-year-old vines and raised in 50% new French oak. It's a magical wine in the vintage and offers more depth and richness than just about every other Saint-Emilion out there, all while holding onto a gorgeous sense of finesse and elegance, which would almost have me guessing Pomerol in a blind tasting.

Deep red and black fruits, truffly earth, tobacco, and spring flower notes all emerge on the nose, and this puppy is full-bodied, has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, gorgeous tannins, and one heck of a great finish. It's stunning, and while it offers incredible pleasure today given its purity and flawless balance, it deserves 7-8 years of bottle age and will evolve for 30 years or more.

97 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Belair Monange 2019 Saint EmilionUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Belair Monange 2019 Saint Emilion:
The 2019 Bélair-Monange shows wonderful delineation and focus on the nose, which presents a cornucopia of red fruit, crushed stone, wilted rose petal and light black truffle aromas. It seems to gain complexity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, fine delineation and a velvety texture. This builds toward a lavish finish, with dark chocolate and cocoa notes lingering on the aftertaste. It will need several years in bottle but should repay those with the wherewithal to cellar.

95 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Belair Monange 2019 Saint EmilionFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth den Chateau Belair Monange 2019 Saint Emilion:
This captures the richness of the vintage wonderfully, with long, caressing waves of cassis, plum reduction and boysenberry compote flavors gliding through. Laced with subtle red tea, floral and mineral hints through the lengthy finish, this is really well done and augmented by a level of purity most don't have in this vintage. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2025 through 2040. 3,200 cases made, 550 cases imported.

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Nahezu perfekt.

97 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Canon 2017 Saint Emilion Den Chateau Canon 2017 Saint Emilion beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
Showing spectacularly, the 2017 Chateau Canon checks in as a final blend of 77% Merlot and 23% Cabernet Franc that’s from one of the most exceptional terroirs in the appellation. Hitting 14% alcohol (the pH is 3.66), it reveals a ruby/purple hue as well as gorgeously sweet raspberries and cassis-like fruit interwoven with notes of spring flowers, rose petal, white chocolate, and spice. While it doesn’t have the massive opulence of the 2015 and 2016, it’s more classically styled as well flawlessly balanced, with a terrific sense of minerality, ultra-fine tannins, and a brilliant finish. Give bottles 5-7 years in the cellar, and it will evolve gracefully for 30-40 years. Hats off to Nicolas Audebert as well as the team of Thomas Duclos for one of the wines of the vintage!

This perhaps somewhat controversial marriage between the estates of Chateau Belair and Chateau Magdelaine—both Premier Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion estates—to form Chateau Bélair Monange hits pay-dirt with this spectacular 2015 release. Composed of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc. the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Belair Monange has the most singular nose of grilled meats. smoked game. iron ore and fallen leaves over a slowly unfurling ripe fruit core of crushed black plums. blackberry preserves and cassis with fragrant touches of star anise and potpourri. Full-bodied. rich and opulent in the mouth. the palate reveals an arresting backbone of exquisitely ripe. very firm tannins and sparks of background acidity lifting and defining the rich. densely packed layers. culminating in an epically long and multifaceted finish. A huge. intense Saint-Émilion. the Bélair-Monange is just as impressive from bottle as it was from cask. That's the good news. The not-so-good news is that the wine is going to need at least a decade to shed some of its considerable baby fat. A rush of super-ripe black cherry. game. smoke and tobacco hits the palate as this dramatic. unrestrained Saint-Émilion shows off its explosive personality. The 2015 speaks with an assertive voice that demands attention – and it got mine. that’s for sure. The blend is 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc.
