Chateau Tour Saint Christophe 2016 mit sensationellen 94 Parker Punkten bewertetLisa Perrotti Brown 30. November 2018

The 2016 Tour Saint-Christophe is made up of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It was aged in 40% new. 40% one-year-old and 20% two-year-old oak for 18 months. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored. it sings of roses. chocolate-covered cherries. redcurrant jelly and cinnamon stick with touches of cigar box and forest floor. Big. full-bodied and richly fruited yet with great tension. it has a compellingly perfumed palate and gorgeous velvety texture with great persistence. 5.000 cases produced.

94+ Vinous Punkte für den Tour Saint Christophe 2016Neal Martin im Januar 2019:

The 2016 Tour Saint Christophe has a wonderful. beautifully defined bouquet of blackberry. raspberry. crushed stone and hints of pressed flowers. all very focused and delineated. The palate is well balanced. with fine but quite firm tannins and well-judged acidity. and very persistent toward the finish. I appreciate the harmony and intensity of this Tour Saint Christophe. A wonderful Saint-Émilion from "team Kwok"!

93 Punkte Vinous / Galloni für den Chateau Tour Saint Christophe 2016Antonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Tour Saint Christophe 2016 im Januar 2019 wie folgt:

The 2016 Tour Saint Christophe is a potent. tightly wound wine that is going to need quite a bit of time to be at its best. That is surprising. as the 2016 was quite a bit more sensual en primeur. Even so. the 2016 is a gorgeous. hugely promising Saint-Émilion. Dark red cherry. plum. espresso. leather and tobacco build as this beautifully layered wine gradually reveals its many charms. There is so much to look forward to. once the tannins soften a bit.

96 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Tour Saint Christophe 2016 Saint EmilionVerkostungsbericht vom 03. Februar 2019:

This has a rich and ripe dark-fruit nose with a wealth of stony attraction and a lighter. floral edge. The palate has a very rich core of deeply ripe. fleshy fruit. framed in cedary oak. Really impressive clarity and web-like tannins. Superb finish. Try from 2023.

This is firm and very tight with a ripe and compact tannin backbone to the blue fruit and hot-stone undertones. Medium to full body. Soft and lightly velvety tannins.

92-94+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Bellevue 2018 Saint EmilionLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Bellevue 2018 Saint Emilion wie folgt:

Made of 100% Merlot. the 2018 Bellevue is deep garnet-purple colored and gives up wonderfully expressive scents of baked black cherries. plum preserves and blueberry coulis with hints of mocha. licorice. dried spearmint and chargrill plus a waft of cardamom and Indian spices. Medium to full-bodied with bags of rich. seductive fruit. it is laden with bright earthy sparks and has a soft. plush texture. finishing with fantastic freshness and energy.

90-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Bellevue 2018 Saint EmilionAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Bellevue 2018 Saint Emilion wie folgt:

The 2018 Bellevue is bold. punchy and super-expressive. In many years. Bellevue can be a bit austere. especially in its tannins. but the 2018 has an extra layer of richness that adds texture and sensuality. Dark plum. blood orange. mint and wild flowers build as this racy. polished Saint-emilion shows off its considerable sexiness. Tasted two times.

97-98 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Valandraud 2019 Saint Emilion James Suckling bewertet den Chateau Valandraud 2019 Saint Emilion im Juni 2020:

Extremely polished and refined red with structure. It’s full-bodied. yet ever so refined and balanced. The tannins are very fine-grained. Chewy. yet energetic and precise. Tight and integrated at the end.

96-98 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Valandraud 2019 Saint Emilion Neal Martin bewertet den Chateau Valandraud 2019 Saint Emilion im Mai 2020:

The 2019 Valandraud is deep purple in color. It storms out of the glass with bold black cherries. boysenberry and faint scents of violet. extremely pure and seductive. the new oak seamlessly integrated. The palate is imbued with a sorbet-like freshness on the entry. The multi-layered dark cherry and plummy fruit is underpinned by a killer line of acidity. The finish feels pixelated to the n'th degree. This is a formidable wine from Jean-Luc Thunevin and ranks amongst the very best Right Bank wines of this vintage.

93+ Punkte bei Vinous / Galloni für den Chateau Bellevue 2016Antonio Galloni Januar 2019:

The 2016 Bellevue is dense and powerful. but also quite reticent following its bottling this past June. Dark and virile. the 2016 is going to need at least a few years to come into its own. The intensity and volume the wine showed en primeur are very much in evidence. but also presently enshrouded by a wall of potent tannins. Gravel. smoke. game. leather and tobacco give the 2016 much of its savory character. I loved Bellevue from barrel. but it is far less showy from bottle.

97 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Bellevue 2016 Saint EmilionJames Suckling im Februar 2019:

A dense and layered red with ripe plums and blueberries. as well as hints of wet earth and moss. Full-bodied. velvety and layered with fantastic fruit and creamy. velvety tannins. Plush and deep. Great wine. Try from 2023.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Bellevue 2016Vinous / Neal Martin Januar 2019:

The 2016 Bellevue has retained the attractive bouquet evident when in barrel: quite rich in style but well defined. offering ample. luscious red cherry. mulberry and pressed iris aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with lush tannin. impressive depth and freshness and just the right amount of salinity toward the finish. This has gained a little panache during its élevage. and it comes highly recommended. Excellent.

Belair Monange 2015 mit 100 Punkten bei James SUcklingJames Suckling bewertet den Chateau Belair Monange 2015 am 02.02.2018 wie folgt:

Blue fruits, minerals, lavender and licorice aromas are wonderful. Full body and ultra-refined tannins with an integration and refinement that make the wines seamless and beautiful. The powerful tannins hide from you at first, but what structure in the end. It goes on for minutes. Try in 2024.

Belair Monange 2015 mit 98+ Punkten bei Robert ParkerLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Belair Monange 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:

This perhaps somewhat controversial marriage between the estates of Chateau Belair and Chateau Magdelaine — both Premier Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion estates — to form Chateau Bélair Monange hits pay-dirt with this spectacular 2015 release. Composed of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Belair Monange has the most singular nose of grilled meats, smoked game. iron ore and fallen leaves over a slowly unfurling ripe fruit core of crushed black plums, blackberry preserves and cassis with fragrant touches of star anise and potpourri. Full-bodied, rich and opulent in the mouth, the palate reveals an arresting backbone of exquisitely ripe, very firm tannins and sparks of background acidity lifting and defining the rich, densely packed layers, culminating in an epically long and multifaceted finish. Possessing its own compellingly beautiful signature, this is a remarkably riveting wine that should not be missed.

Chateau Belair Monange 2015 Saint Emilion mit 98 Punkten bei VinousAntonio Galloni bewertet den Belair Monange 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:

A huge, intense Saint-Émilion, the Bélair-Monange is just as impressive from bottle as it was from cask. That's the good news. The not-so-good news is that the wine is going to need at least a decade to shed some of its considerable baby fat. A rush of super-ripe black cherry, game, smoke and tobacco hits the palate as this dramatic, unrestrained Saint-Émilion shows off its explosive personality. The 2015 speaks with an assertive voice that demands attention – and it got mine. that’s for sure. The blend is 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc.

100 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Trotanoy 2018 PomerolJames Suckling beschreibt den Chateau Trotanoy 2018 Pomerol wie folgt:

Super nose of dried blueberry, black plum, walnut, myrrh and sandalwood. Lavender, violet, and chocolate, too. Ripe with wood now, but fresh. It’s full-bodied with firm, ultra fine tannins. Lots of dark spice is interlaced with the ripe fruit, giving this complex, perfumed character. Muscular, long and seamless with incredible depth and concentration. Reminds me of the great 2009, but this is better with more structure. Amazing wine. This is 100% merlot. Try from 2027.

99 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Trotanoy 2018 PomerolAntonio Galloni im März 2021:

The 2018 Trotanoy is a bold, powerful wine. In this vintage, some of the imposing structure that is such a Trotanoy signature has been replaced by super-expressive aromatics and striking detail. Dried herbs, iron, gravel and crushed rose petals all lend gorgeous savory nuance to a core of potent red berry fruit. Trotanoy is a Pomerol for those who can be patient. The 2018, though, is extraordinarily beautiful right out of the gate.

100 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck 99 für den Chateau Trotanoy 2018 Pomerol11.03.2021 Jeb Dunnuck:

Another heavenly Pomerol in the vintage, the 2018 Château Trotanoy checks in as 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc brought up in (I suspect) lots of new French oak (although it's certainly not apparent). Revealing a dense purple hue as well as a smorgasbord-like bouquet of blackcurrants, dried flowers, cured meats, violets, tobacco, and chocolate, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a sexy, seductive texture, building yet sweet tannins, and just a rich, concentrated, yet flawless profile on the palate that's already impossible to resist. Nevertheless, a good 7-8 years of bottle age are warranted, and this magical elixir is going to evolve for 40 years or more.

99 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Trotanoy 2018 Pomerol31.03.2021 Lisa Perrotti Brown:

The 2018 Trotanoy is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it slowly unfurls to reveal a jaw-dropping perfume of Black Forest cake, black raspberries, blackberry pie and kirsch, followed by hints of cast-iron pan, violets, woodsmoke, Chinese five spice and eucalyptus, with a waft of tree bark. The full-bodied palate explodes with exotic spice and mineral fireworks, grounded by a concentrated, black and red berry preserves core and framed by firm, grainy tannins, finishing with epic length and depth. It will need a good five years in bottle to tame some of the youthfully overt, showy fruit and allow the mineral and earth nuances to emerge, then it should easily cellar another 35 years or more
