Chateau Saint Georges Cote Pavie

Chateau Saint Georges Cote Pavie

Begeistert schreibt Lisa Perrotti Brown vom Saint-Georges Cote Pavie 2018 "the palate delivers mouth-filling fresh, crunchy fruit with beautifully ripe, finely grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and perfumed. Impressive!"

The 2022 Saint-Georges Côte Pavie is a notable success for this beautifully situated hillside terroir. Offering up aromas of cherries, wild berries, spices and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vibrant, with powdery tannins and a long, mineral finish. As usual, it's a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.

Flowers, black, red, and blue fruits, espresso and crushed stones create the perfume. The wine is medium-bodied, vibrant, soft, fresh, and with a nice, purity of fruits, silky tannins, and sweet, red pit fruits in the spicy, finish. Drink from 2026-2040.

92 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Saint-Georges Cote Pavie 2022 Saint-Emilion Grand-Cru Den Chateau Saint-Georges Cote Pavie 2022 Saint-Emilion Grand-Cru beschreibt Fallstaff wie folgt:
Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, tintig, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

An estate that has been on the uptick of late, the 2022 Château Saint Georges (Côtes Pavie) looks to be another gorgeous wine from this château. Darker cherries, red plums, spring flowers, and spice all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a silky, layered mouthfeel and ripe tannins.

This is spicy and chocolaty with a medium to full body. Firm tannins with some chewiness to it. Chalky finish. Racy. Next to Pavie. Traditional.

93 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Saint-Georges Cote Pavie 2020 Den Chateau Saint-Georges Cote Pavie 2020 beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
A strong effort from this underrated property, the 2020 Saint-Georges Côte Pavie reveals notes of dark berries, cherries, raw cocoa and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated palate framed by refined tannins and lively acids, concluding with a chalky finish. It derives from holdings adjacent to Pavie, where Cabernet Franc is gradually increasing in importance in the blend.

This shows notes of blackcurrants and blackberries with dark spices, tree bark and walnut. Medium- to full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins and a velvety mouthfeel. Vivid and dark-fruited with a chalky finish. Try after 2025.
