The palate bursts with vibrant black berry flavors accented with loads of savory nuances and backed by a solid structure of firm. grainy tannins. finishing with great length and freshness.
Neal Martin bewertet den Chateau Fonbadet 2019 Paulliac im Juni 2020:The 2019 Fonbadet is racy and so inviting. Plush fruit and soft contours give the 2019 a fabulous sense of immediacy. An infusion of black cherry. plum. licorice. spice and lavender wraps around the palate as this sumptuous Pauillac shows off its alluring personality. There is so much to like here.
The Harvest : From 23th of september to 11th of october. 2019. Plot selection. manual harvesting with sorting in the cellar.
Yield : 55 hl/ ha Blending : Cabernet Sauvignon 70% Merlot 30 %
Vinification and Ageing : Vinification in thermo-regulated concrete vats. Ageing for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels. with 40% new French oak. (made by 4 different coopers). Filled up into barrels in December.
Vineyard Area :
20 hectares distributed in 3 different entities: 4 hectares around the property adjoining Château Latour and Pichon Comtesse. 3 hectares in the center of Pauillac and to 13 hectares in the North of the appelation surrounded by the vineyard of Mouton Rothschild.
