89-91 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc Den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
Aromas of dark berries, cigar wrapper and licorice introduce the 2022 Potensac, a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy Médoc with a deep core of fruit and powdery structuring tannins. It's built along similar lines to the 2020.

94-95 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc Den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc beschreibt James Suckling wie folgt:
Polished and refined with a deep core of ripe berries with walnut undertones. Medium- to full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins and a lingering finish. Deep and complex.

90-92 Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc Den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
The 2022 Château Potensac is based on 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a splash of Petit Verdot. It has lots of ripe blue fruits, graphite, and gravelly earth to go with full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. It's a big, rich, tannic Potensac that's going to be long lived. I suspect 3-5 years of bottle age will be warranted here.

93 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc Den Chateau Potensac 2022 Medoc beschreibt Fallstaff wie folgt:
Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

92-94
Tobacco leaf, cedar, peppery herbs, and black fruits show on the nose, and on the palate. There is volume, intensity, concentration, tannic structure, and a regal bearing for the wine on the palate. By miles, this is the most complete vintage for Potensac I have ever tasted. The wine was produced from blending 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36.5% Merlot, 19.5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.14.52% ABV. Drink from 2026-2045.

93 / 100
Fragranced, black bramble fruit, so scented and aromatic. Crystalline pure fruit, blackcurrants, cherries and plums, with grippy, but super fine and fresh tannins and balanced acidity. You get the structure - wide, firm, so refined in terms of tannic impression, they're at the fore but so discerning and integrated, really supportive and help to focus the wine from start to finish. Precise and sleek, agile yet concentrated with a lovely cool and juicy core alongside graphite and pencil lead touches. Powerful but polished and ageable. A great buy. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.64pH. 82 IPT.

93-94 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Potensac 2018 Medoc
James Suckling bewertet den Chateau Potensac 2018 am 11.04.2019 wie folgt:

The excellence of this lies in the quality of the tannins, which are so polished and refined. Compact and tight. Medium-bodied. Very, very long. Beauty already.

90-92 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Potensac 2018 MedocAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Potensac 2018 im Mai 2019 wie folgt:

The 2018 Potensac is bold, dense and powerful. Grilled herb, smoke. leather, cedar and tobacco give the inky blue/purplish fruit a decidedly savory character. Although a bit rough around the edges. the 2018 has plenty of nuance as well as personality. It will be interesting to see if the 2018 develops a bit more finesse in élevage. The blend is 45% Merlot. 36% Cabernet Sauvignon. 18% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Tasted two times.

90-92 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Potensac 2018 MedocLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Potensac 2018 im April 2019 wie folgt:

The 2018 Potensac is blended of 45% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, all harvested between September 21 and October 13, with yields of 49 hectoliters per hectare. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls effortlessly out of the glass with bright, fresh red and black plums, crushed blackcurrants and bay leaves with hints of cracked pepper and damp soil. Full-bodied. rich and laden with red and black fruit layers, it has a plush frame of rounded tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing long.

90-91 Punkte.

89-91 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den The 2023 Potensac is a solid effort, offering up aromas of dark berries, cherries, loamy soil and cigar wrapper, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy palate that's taut and penetrating, with good depth at the core.

93-94 Sucklingpunkte für den Beautiful dark fruit with purity and freshness. Medium- to full-bodied, seamless and compact. Outstanding quality of tannins, so fine and dense. It’s muscular and taut on the mid-palate. Lingering, too. Plenty of energy. Close to 2022.

Jane Anson bewertet den wie folgt:92 Punkte
Concentrated and intense, fragrant spicy notes of green peppercorn, liqourice root, smoked earth, freshly cut herbs and black tea. Plenty of lift, a little serious and austere, but this is a well balanced and enjoyable wine. Harvest Setepbmer 18 to 29, 20% new oak for ageing. No 2nd wine of Potensac since 2021, since they pulled out more than 20ha of vines to retain only the most high quality parts of the vineyard.

88-90 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denChateau Potensac 2020
Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Potensac 2020 Medoc :

The 2020 Potensac is composed of 44% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot and 22% Cabernet Franc, weighing in with an alcohol of 14.05%, a pH of 3.63 and an IPT (tannins index) of 76. The Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested on the 29th and 30th of September, the Merlot from the 14th to the 26th of September, the Petit Verdot on the 29th of September and the Cabernet Franc on the 28th of September. With a medium to deep garnet-purple color, it offers up eager-to-please notes of fresh Bing cherries, redcurrants and black raspberries, plus hints of dried Provence herbs, dusty soil, wild mushrooms and tobacco leaf. The medium-bodied palate has a good concentration of red and black fruits with a chewy texture and just enough freshness, finishing earthy.

90-92 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Potensac 2020
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Potensac:

The 2020 Potensac was picked September 14–30 and matured in 20% new oak. It has a clean, pure black currant and blueberry nose, a little more opulent than usual, but well defined and demonstrating a bit more fruité, which it has occasionally lacked in some vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, and quite saline on the entry, with touches of black olive infusing the black fruit. A midweight with a lively, classically fashioned finish, this is a very commendable Potensac that should give 12–15 years of pleasure, but warrants 3–4 years in a cool, damp cellar.
