Die Nase ist etwas verschlossen, mit dunkler Frucht im Vordergrund. Es zeigt sich eine typische Würze von roter Paprika. Im Mund ist der Wein strukturiert. Mit feinkörnigem Tannin, seine Ausgewogenheit macht ihn bereits jetzt zugänglich und trinkig.

Der 2023 Potensac ist eine solide Leistung und bietet Aromen von dunklen Beeren, Kirschen, lehmigem Boden und Zigarrenpapier, gefolgt von einem mittelkräftigen, fleischigen Gaumen, der straff und durchdringend ist, mit guter Tiefe im Kern.

Schöne dunkle Früchte mit Reinheit und Frische. Mittel- bis vollmundig, nahtlos und kompakt. Hervorragende Qualität der Tannine, so fein und dicht. Muskulös und straff am Gaumen. Langanhaltend, auch. Viel Energie. Nahe am 2022er

Konzentriert und intensiv, duftende würzige Noten von grünen Pfefferkörnern, Süßholzwurzel, geräucherter Erde, frisch geschnittenen Kräutern und schwarzem Tee. Viel Schwung, ein wenig ernst und streng, aber dies ist ein gut ausgewogener und genussvoller Wein. Ernte vom 18. bis 29. September, 20% neues Eichenholz zur Reifung. Kein Zweitwein von Potensac seit 2021, da mehr als 20 Hektar Weinreben entfernt wurden, um nur die qualitativ hochwertigsten Teile des Weinbergs zu behalten.

Der 2023 Potensac hat eine gut definierte Nase: überwiegend schwarze Früchte, mit Anklängen von Seetang im Hintergrund. Er gewinnt mit der Bekanntschaft und fügt sich allmählich zusammen. Der Gaumen ist mittelkräftig mit geschmeidigen Tanninen und einer feinen Säurelinie. Seidig-glatt in der Textur, man kann erkennen, dass im Abgang hochwertiges neues Eichenholz verwendet wurde, das gut mit der Frucht harmoniert. Es ist ein guter, solider Potensac, der drei oder vier Jahre in der Flasche benötigt

Reife rote Johannisbeeren, Cassis, Graphit und geräucherter Tabak sowie einige florale Noten treten beim 2023 Château Potensac hervor, ein mittelkräftiger, lebhafter, wunderschön ausgewogener Potensac mit feinen Tanninen und dem frischen, aber fokussierten, ausgewogenen Stil des Jahrgangs.

This is very balanced and round with lovely softness. Plenty of fruity. Medium body. Lots of salinity and savoriness. Long and delicious. Friendly already. 44% merlot, 33% cabernet sauvignon, 22% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot.

The 2020 Potensac is composed of 44% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot and 22% Cabernet Franc, weighing in with an alcohol of 14.05%, a pH of 3.63 and an IPT (tannins index) of 76. The Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested on the 29th and 30th of September, the Merlot from the 14th to the 26th of September, the Petit Verdot on the 29th of September and the Cabernet Franc on the 28th of September. With a medium to deep garnet-purple color, it offers up eager-to-please notes of fresh Bing cherries, redcurrants and black raspberries, plus hints of dried Provence herbs, dusty soil, wild mushrooms and tobacco leaf. The medium-bodied palate has a good concentration of red and black fruits with a chewy texture and just enough freshness, finishing earthy.

The 2020 Potensac was picked September 14–30 and matured in 20% new oak. It has a clean, pure black currant and blueberry nose, a little more opulent than usual, but well defined and demonstrating a bit more fruité, which it has occasionally lacked in some vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, and quite saline on the entry, with touches of black olive infusing the black fruit. A midweight with a lively, classically fashioned finish, this is a very commendable Potensac that should give 12–15 years of pleasure, but warrants 3–4 years in a cool, damp cellar.

The wine has 14.42% alcohol and is to be aged in barriques. 35% new; the finished blend was put into barrels last December. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls effortlessly out of the glass with bright, fresh red and black plums, crushed blackcurrants and bay leaves with hints of cracked pepper and damp soil. Full-bodied. rich and laden with red and black fruit layers, it has a plush frame of rounded tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing long.
