Sweet floral. savory and spice add striking layers of dimension. The fruit is especially vibrant. with none of the overextracted notes or heaviness that plagued some recent vintages. The 2018 is really impressive. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon. 35% Merlot. 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. I can't wait to taste it from bottle.

This plush, up-front, expansive, wonderfully textured Saint-Julien will benefit from just a few years of bottle age and cruise for two decades. It's the finest example from this château I've tasted.
