Tinker's Field, eine einzigartige Parzelle in Rippon, ist ein sanfter, nach Norden ausgerichteter Hang, der von einem alten Auswurfkegel aus grobem Schiefergestein gebildet wird. Tinker's Field beherbergt die ältesten Rebstöcke des Anwesens und ist nach dem visionären Gründer von Rippon, Rolfe Mills (Tink für seine Freunde), und dem Land, das er seit seiner Kindheit zu bewirtschaften träumte, benannt.

Am westlichen Rand der Roy's Bay am Lake Wanaka bildet der nach Norden ausgerichtete Steilhang von Rippon den Treffpunkt von Endmoränen und grobem Schotter, die alle auf Schiefer basieren und auf denen einige der frühesten Weinstöcke der Region gepflanzt wurden. Rippon ist ein Wein, der aus allen voll entwickelten Pinot-Noir-Rebstöcken gewonnen wird, die in diesem Gebiet wachsen.

"Helle rubinrote Farbe mit etwas Tiefe und leichten Granattönen, am Rand heller. Er hat eine sanft konzentrierte und volle Nase mit Aromen von dunkelroten Kirschen und Beerenfrüchten mit einer subtilen Note von nussigem Eichenholz und Anklängen an dunkle Kräuter. Die Aromen bilden ein rundes und tiefes Herz, das mit der Belüftung an Festigkeit und Intensität zunimmt. Der Geschmack ist mittelkräftig und hat einen feinen Kern aus dunkelroten Kirsch- und Beerenfrüchten mit sanften Noten von nussigem Eichenholz sowie dunklen Kräuternoten. Die Frucht ist reichhaltig, unterstrichen durch die geschmeidige Tanninextraktion, die eine weiche, ausgewogene Struktur mit integrierter Säure verleiht. Der Wein geht sanft in einen langen Abgang mit Kirschfrüchten und nussigem Eichenholz über.
