Elisabetta Foradori

Elisabetta Foradori

Dezember 2018:

This wine will not be produced in 2017. The 2016 Teroldego Foradori (with 50.000 bottles made) shows some of the youth of the fruit with primary aromas of black fruit and blackberry preserves. Teroldego shares some characteristics that are similar to Syrah in terms of the rich fruit density and darkness. It also exhibits soft tannins and full-bodied appeal. Although partial whole-cluster fermentation is sometimes employed with this wine. it was not used in this vintage.

94+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Foradori 2017 Fontanasanta Nosiola Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGTMonica Larner im Dezember 2018:

Enticing aromas of stone fruit. candied orange peel and toasted pine nut open the bouquet of the 2017 Manzoni Bianco Fontanasanta. Fruit is sourced from the Fontanasanta vineyard located 400 meters above sea level. A small part of the wine (just 10%) is aged in cement vats and amphorae. The rest is aged in acacia wood barrels. This beautiful white wine shows an extremely direct and polished bouquet that reminds me of Riesling. Indeed. Manzoni Bianco is a cross of Riesling and Pinot Bianco. Some 20.000 bottles were made.

Foradori Granato IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti 2017

 BIO

"Grapes and pomegranate have common origins and are often found growing together in the Mediterranean basin. The pomegranate fruit also possesses the charm, beauty and intensity of grapes. It is thanks to this union that the name ‘Granato’ derives, the name of a Teroldego of a particular concentration and density that sinks its roots into the stones of the three vineyards in Campo Rotaliano." (Foradori)

94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denMonica Larner über den Foradori Granato IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti 2017 (18. Feb. 2021)

The 2017 Granato is a pure expression of Teroldego with a sultry, dark color and inky concentration. Summer temperatures in 2017 were warm, but hail damaged 40% of the crop. The fact this wine was even made is a miracle. There is a lot of succulent and tart fruit here that recalls wild cherry and plum, with riper tones of black currant and blackberry that add extra richness and texture. Some stem inclusion is usually employed to make this wine, and its structure is fleshed out as a result. To summarize, this is a full-bodied vintage of Granato with little hints of the tart pomegranate fruit that grows on a tree right outside the winery door.
