Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Clementin de Pape Clement rouge 2020 Pessac Leognan :
The 2020 Clémentin de Pape Clement has a deep purple-black color with pronounced notes of tar, crushed rocks and tilled soil over a core of baked plums, black cherry preserves and mulberries, plus a hint of sautéed herbs. The medium to full-bodied palate is taut with lively acid and ripe black fruits, supported by grainy tannins and finishing with an herbal lift.
James Suckling schreibt zum Clementin de Pape Clement rouge 2020 Pessac Leognan Folgendes:
Very attractive blackberry, blackcurrant and crushed-stone character on the nose and palate. It’s medium-bodied with creamy tannins and a fresh finish. Attractive second wine of Pape Clement.
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Pape Clement:
The 2020 Clémentin de Pape Clément Rouge needed time to coalesce in the glass, eventually offering black fruit, brine and light damp earthy/mossy scents with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit, good grip and a little more backbone compared to the Le Prélat. I admire the finish, which demonstrates fine precision and good length. This is a well-crafted Pessac-Léognan from the team at Pape Clément.

Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Ockerrandaufhellung.
