Das Weingut gehört zur Appelation Lalande de Pomerol, die Weingärten erstecken sich über 46 Hektar und sind in 40 verschiedenen Parzellen aufgeteilt. Die Rebsorten für den Wein sind Merlot, Cabernet Franc und Malbec. Der Jahrgang 2015 kann ohne Frage als ein absoluter Fixpunkt in sachen Qualität angesehen werden.

The 2016 Siaurac is silky. perfumed and exceptionally beautiful. Readers will find a restrained Lalande de Pomerol built on finesse and class. Sweet tobacco. menthol. licorice and pretty herbal notes add shades of complexity throughout.

Bright flowers and attractive red berries on offer here with a really succulent. velvety palate that offers rich red-plum flavors. Long and juicy resolve. A blend of 74 per cent merlot. 19 per cent cabernet franc and seven per cent malbec. Try from 2021.

A very attractive core of fruit this year with a medium body, firm and silky tannins and a racy finish for the appellation.

Since last year the 2020 Siaurac has belonged to Les Terroirs de Suravenir, the same owners of Calon-Ségur. It has a slightly smudged blackberry, earthy nose, minty scents emerging with time. It opens nicely with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fine acidity, structured with a touch of dryness on the grippy finish. This is stocky and perhaps lacks a bit of charm, but who knows, maybe it will muster more precision and finesse by the time of bottling.
