Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 Clément-Pichon features notes of fresh redcurrants, ripe blackberries and Bing cherries, plus suggestions of wild thyme, forest floor and tobacco leaf. The medium-bodied palate is lively and refreshing with a subtle chewiness to the texture and just enough red and black fruit flavors, finishing savory.

The 2020 Clément-Pichon has a tightly wound, rather stoic nose that remains tight-lipped despite constant aeration. The palate is more forthcoming, featuring tarry black fruit laced with cedar and mint, although the oak impedes and slightly dries the finish. This will require a very prudent élevage.

Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Floral unterlegte schwarze Kirschenfrucht, zart nach Cassis, etwas Minze, einladendes Bukett. Mittlerer Körper, rotbeerige Frucht, integrierte Tannine, mineralisch und frisch im Angang, zeigt gute Länge.
