The palate is medium-bodied. fresh. soft and juicy with a lovely burst of black fruit in the mouth leading to a savory finish. Nearly 900 cases were made.
Vinous / Neal Martin Januar 2019:The 2016 Belle-Vue feels just a little reduced on the nose and demands some aeration: quite intense black cherries. blueberry and boysenberry jam. ebbing away to reveal more marine-like influences. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin. good acidity. very smooth and harmonious and. though there is a fair "slap" of new oak on the finish. it feels simpatico with the fruit. Give this two or three years in the cellar. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.
