Beschreibung

Am westlichen Rand der Roy's Bay am Lake Wanaka bildet der nach Norden ausgerichtete Steilhang von Rippon den Treffpunkt von Endmoränen und grobem Schotter, die alle auf Schiefer basieren und auf denen einige der frühesten Weinstöcke der Region gepflanzt wurden. Rippon ist ein Wein, der aus allen voll entwickelten Pinot-Noir-Rebstöcken gewonnen wird, die in diesem Gebiet wachsen.

Dried strawberries, mushrooms, bark and flowers on the nose. It changes all the time! Full-bodied with intense yet refined tannins that drive the center palate to a long and almost endless finish. Great length. Great wine as always! Impressive to taste now, but this will be even better in three to five years. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

"This incredibly fragrant and elegant wine is from our cooler site in Bannockburn in a warmer growing season resulting in a highly energetic wine with great flow and incredible layers of red and black fruit, baking spice and earth. The aromas are both intriguing and complex: fresh berry, lilac, baking spice and wild thyme. The palate is long and bright with cherry, raspberry, beautiful florals and cardamom. Silky fine tannins compliment the vibrant acidity, giving the wine length and memory. This wine is drinking beautifully at release and will continue to do so for at least a decade." Sweeter smelling than either the Gibbston or Waitaki bottlings—think scents of caramelized brown sugar backed by ripe black cherries—the 2019 Bannockburn Vineyard Pinot Noir is a round, velvety example of Pinot. Medium to full-bodied, with ample concentration, richly textural tannins and a long, plush finish, it's already approachable and should drink well for at least another 5-7 years.

This delivers generous, ripe red-cherry and berry aromas with berry pastry, bergamot, fresh herbs and some nicely dialed-in oak spice. The palate has swirling, fleshy cherry and peach flavors, carried in nicely pitched tannins and delivered into a fresh, juicy and open-knit finish. Seamless. Drink now. Screw cap.

A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Long aging potential.

Die gesunden handgelesene Trauben der Rebsorte Bauer Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) sind die Grundlage für diesen wahrlich grossen Pinot Noir. Auch der Jaspis Pinot Noir wird auf der Maische vergoren. Der Ziereisen Jaspis Pinot Noir reifte für 20 Monate in 20% neuen Barrique sowie zu 80% in gebrauchten 225L Aßmann Barrique. Der Jaspis Pinot Noir wird unfiltriert auf die Flasche gefüllt. Depot oder Trübung sind somit möglich.

Jaspis bezeichnet im Hause Ziereisen Weine, die aus Trauben von alten Rebstöcken gekeltert worden sind. Der Jaspis ist ein Edelstein, der in der Region gefunden und so zu einem Symbol wurde, das perfekt den Begriff der alten Reben auf eigene Art und Weise ersetzt. Die Weine der Jaspis-Reihe sind geprägt von hoher Konzentration, immenser Ausdrucksstärke und der für die Weine Ziereisens typischen, animierenden Mineralik.

Der 2021er Jaspis Pinot Noir Zipsin stammt aus 63 Jahre alten Reben der Schulen-Parzelle. Der dunkel rubin- bis purpurfarbene Wein öffnet sich mit einem intensiven, süßen und zugleich eleganten sowie würzigen Bouquet aus reifen und herben Sauerkirschen, verwoben mit würzigen Noten. Am Gaumen präsentiert er sich pur und erfrischend – ein seidig texturierter, dichter und vollmundiger Pinot mit einer animierenden Frische. Feine, erfrischende Tannine sorgen für einen geradlinigen, präzisen Abgang.

They swarm through the mouth with buzzing energy and movement and seem to be seamlessly attached to the flavor at every juncture. A wine that cannot be described without discussing the shape and feel of the tannins. The fruit is ripe and supple, with a bounty of red fruits and exotic spice.
