Fruity aromas accompanied by jammy and stewed shades, symbols of the intense grape’s maturity, come exploding on the nose. The grilled aromas and blond tobacco brought forward during the maturing stage gives the blend plenty of complexity and freshness. This vintages’ Cabernet Sauvignon are related to the dark fruits’ registry (blackcurrant and blackberry), unlike 2010’s vintage which offered more spicy shades. In mouth, the attack is frank and sweet, giving the wine a silky touch. The wine is round and elegant with a delightful length.
On the whole the wine is lively and characterized by much complex and fruity shades as well as its smoothness.

91 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Reaut 2016 Cotes de BordeauxNeal Martin für Vinous im Januar 2019:

The 2016 Réaut has a classy bouquet of graphite-infused black fruit. The palate is well defined, offering supple tannin, plenty of pure black cherry and raspberry fruit and a silky-smooth finish. This Côtes de Bordeaux comes recommended.

90 James Suckling für Chateau Reaut 2016 Cotes de BordeauxJames Suckling bewertet den Chateau Reaut 2016 wie folgt:

I love the ripe blackcurrants, blueberries and delicate herbs in this wine. They enable it to carry the generous dry tannins very well and they drive the long finish. A blend of 58 per cent merlot, 37 per cent cabernet sauvignon and five per cent cabernet franc. Needs some time to resolve all the structure, so better from 2020.

90 Parker Punkte für den Chateau Reaut 2016 Cotes de BordeauxLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Reaut 2016 wie folgt:

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Reaut gives up warm black plums, crushed blackberries and cassis scents with hints of pencil lead, wild thyme, tar and smoked meats. Medium-bodied, the palate is packed with juicy black fruits and savory layers with a firm frame of grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long.
