A sleeper in 2018. Montlandrie is powerful. racy and super-expressive. Succulent red cherry. raspberry. mocha. licorice and rose petals all run through this racy. polished Côtes de Castillon from Denis Durantou. Sweet floral notes add brightness in the glass. The tannins just need time to soften. Tasted two times.

Blueberries and dark cherries with walnuts and hazelnuts. Some nutmeg, too. Medium-bodied with firm, polished tannins and a flavorful finish. Very fine tannins. Drink after 2025, but already gorgeous.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für denNeal Martin (vinous) zum Chateau Montlandrie 2019 Castillon:

The 2019 Montlandrie was one of the hidden gems of Durantou’s lineup this vintage. Now in bottle, it retains a wonderful, expressive, vivacious bouquet of black and red fruit and hints of violet and crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied, with pliant, very fine tannins and a perfect line of acidity. Intense yet finessed, leading to a silky-smooth finish. Make sure you have some of this excellent Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux in your cellar, or it will never forgive you.

90-92 Parker Punkte für den Chateau Montlandrie 2021 CastillonWilliam Kelley im April 2022:
A blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Montlandrie exhibits aromas of rich berries and cherries mingled with loamy soil, spices and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, lively and incisive, it's nicely concentrated, with fine depth at the core and a bright, saline finish. Its Côtes de Castillon origins mark this out as the most tensile, mineral wine in the Durantou portfolio.

Die Bewertung für den Chateau Montlandrie 2021 Castillon vom Wine Cellar Insider lautet wie folgt. The Wine Cellar Insider (Jeff Leve) : 90-92 / 100

Crushed rocks, flowers, cocoa and ripe, dark plums create the perfume. On the palate, the wine is fresh, soft, bright and crisp, with a juiciness to the fruits on the mid-palate and in the medium-bodied finish, with its touch of salty tannins on the backend. The wine blends 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% ABV. The harvest took place October 4 - October 7. Drink from 2023-2035.

92-94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denChateau Montlandrie 2020
Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Montlandrie 2020 Castillon :

The 2020 Montlandrie is a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Merlot was picked between the 18th and the 22nd of September, and the Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon were picked from the 23rd to the 25th of September. It has an alcohol of 14.5% and is aging in French oak barrels, 40% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it bursts from the glass with vibrant notes of crushed blackberries, fresh, juicy black plums and mulberries, plus hints of bay leaves, cardamom, ground black pepper and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate possesses impressive freshness with a solid backbone of soft, rounded tannins and bags of ripe black fruits, finishing long with a peppery kick. 53,000 bottles are expected to be made.

Very salty and tangy with some white pepper, too, as well as lots of blackberries and blueberries. Medium body with delicate yet firm tannins that show intensity. Firm finish.

88-90 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Montlandrie 2020
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Montlandrie:

The 2020 Montlandrie was picked September 18–25 and matured in 40% new oak. It has an exuberant, ripe bouquet, a mixture of red and blueberry fruit, crushed violets and potpourri aromas surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, sweet and sensual, although I find less complexity on the finish compared directly with its siblings, La Chenade and Les Cruzelles. Still, this will give several years of drinking pleasure.
