Château Grand Corbin-Despagne ist ein Wein aus der Appellation Saint-Émilion in der französischen Weinregion Bordeaux. Das Weingut befindet sich im nördlichen Teil der Gemeinde Saint-Émilion nahe der Grenze zu Pomerol.In 1812, nicht weit von Cheval Blanc (wo Louis’ Familie Pächter waren), ließ er sich in einem Ort namens Corbin nieder und erwarb die ersten Grundstücke. Der Sohn baute „Crû Grand-Corbin – propriétaire Despagne“ aus, wie das Gewächs damals hieß. Gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts entstand der Name Château Grand Corbin-Despagne. Im 20. Jahrhundert baute Paul Despagne, ein außergewöhnlicher Winzer, den guten Ruf des Gewächses aus und produzierte Weine von gleichbleibend hoher Qualität. Verschiedene Generationen haben ihr Savoir-faire eingebracht und bei der ersten offiziellen Klassifizierung der Gewächse von Saint-Emilion wurde dem Weingut der Rang eines Grand Cru Classé verliehen.

Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's seamless and enveloping, its vibrant core of fruit underpinned by melting tannins. This improving estate is situated on sandy soils over blue clay just across the border from Pomerol.
