Christian Balog beschreibt den Wein wie folgt:
Süsse dunkle Nase, modernes Holz, reife dunkle Beeren. Deuliche Steigerung im Vergleich zum Cote de Baleau. Ein durchaus gelungener Wein mit Dichte Struktur Balance, saftiger Ausklang. 90-92 Punkte
William Kelly zum Chateau Clos Saint Martin 2021 Saint Emilion (Februar 2024):
The 2021 Clos St. Martin offers up aromas of cherries, blueberry liqueur, petroleum jelly and toasty new oak, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and creamy palate that's framed by plenty of youthfully chewy tannin that asserts itself on the finish. As I wrote en primeur, this is an unabashedly modern-styled wine that will appeal to readers looking for sweet, fruit-forward wines in a vintage that only seldom delivered that. 90 Punkte
Der Chateau Clos Saint Martin 2021 Saint Emilion am Gaumen von James Suckling (Februar 2024):
This is showing aromas of wet earth, dried flowers, licorice and salted plums. Chewy on the palate with firm tannins, a medium body, and a spicy finish. Lots to like. Try after 2026. 93 Punkte
