The 2019 La Louvière was picked from 19 September to 11 October at 47hl/ha. then matured in around 50% new oak. It offers blackberry. melted tar and sous-bois scents on the nose. a little broody at first but opening up nicely with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with firm grip. plenty of graphite infused black fruit with a vivacious and quite persistent finish. This is a superb La Louvière. one of the best that I have encountered from barrel.

There’s plenty of blueberry. coffee and chocolate character. Full body and fine. lightly chewy tannins.
