Readers will find a rich. flamboyant wine in the 2016 Barde-Haut. There is not a ton of subtlety here. but I am not sure that matters all that much given how immensely pleasing the 2016 is. Crushed rocks. graphite. lavender. blackberry. plum. and violet infuse a Saint-Émilion that offers tremendous textural richness as well as vibrancy. Most importantly of all. the 2016 is flat-out delicious. This is a decidedly opulent. dark Saint-Émilion with all of the elements impeccably balanced. I loved it.

Medium to full-bodied and richly fruited in the mouth. the palate bursts with blue fruits. framed by firm. rounded tannins and seamless freshness. finishing long.

Gorgeous purity of fruit in this wine with depth and beauty. Full-bodied. It really grows on the palate with a hyper fine tannin texture.

91-94 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Barde Haut 2018 Saint EmilionJames Mothels bewertet den Chateau Barde Haut 2018 Saint Emilion wie folgt:

Very juicy. with lots of blackberry and black currant compote flavors. The ample toast has yet to be fully soaked up. with notes of licorice root and singed apple wood jutting out. A bit chewy on the finish. Slightly unbridled today. but if this rounds into form it will be a real winner.

92-94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Barde Haut 2018 Saint EmilionLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Barde Haut 2018 Saint Emilion wie folgt:

The 2018 Barde-Haut is a final blend composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color. it sashays sensuously out of the glass with effortless baked blackberries. preserved plums and blueberry pie notes plus hints of incense. powdered cinnamon. cigar box and star anise. Full-bodied and packed with spicy black and blue fruits. it is beautifully textured with firm. velvety tannins and just enough background freshness. finishing very long and seductive.

92-95 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Barde Haut 2018 Saint EmilionAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Barde Haut 2018 Saint Emilion wie folgt:

The 2018 Barde-Haut is a rich. heady wine. Crème de cassis. blackberry jam. chocolate. leather and spice race out of the glass in this flamboyant. exotically ripe Saint-emilion. There is no shortage of stuffing. but the wine needs time to come together. Specifically. the new oak needs to integrate more fully. but this is a barrel sample. and it is not uncommon to see wines at this stage showing this way. The more exotic side of the vintage is very much on display. The harvest ranged from September 29 to October 12. which is relatively drawn out by the estate's standards.

91-93 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denChateau Poesia 2020
Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Poesia 2020 Saint Emilion Grand Cru :

Revealing a deep purple-black color, the 2020 Poesia bursts with flamboyant notions of stewed black plums, mulberries and juicy blackberries, plus hints of tar, licorice, potpourri and dried mulberries with a waft of incense. The medium to full-bodied palate is charged with a racy backbone of freshness, delivering layers of dried berries and exotic spices with a plush texture, finishing long and perfumed.

95-96 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Poesia 2020
James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Poesia 2020 Saint Emilion Grand Cru Folgendes:

Lots of blueberry and blackberry with crushed-stone and limestone undertones. It’s full-bodied with firm, silky tannins that are wonderfully polished.

91-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Poesia 2020
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Poesia:

The 2020 Poesia has a pretty bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, fleeting cassis and iodine scents, open and willing to please. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and a well-judged line of acidity. Velvety in texture and very harmonious, this is already an irresistible Poesia with a caressing, pure finish. It might well be the best vintage I have tasted from this Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.

Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Barde Haut 2020 Saint Emilion :

Opaque purple-black in color, the 2020 Barde-Haut opens with a beguiling perfume of wild blueberries, dark chocolate and candied violets before giving way to notes of kirsch, forest floor and spice cake with a waft of dried mint. The medium to full-bodied palate bursts with juicy black and blue fruits, supported by a lovely line of freshness and beautifully soft tannins, finishing with impressive restraint and a long-lingering mineral note.

James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Barde Haut 2020 Saint Emilion Folgendes:

A young red with blackberry, chocolate and walnut character that follows through to a medium to full body with creamy tannins and a flavorful finish. Subtle in the end.

93-95 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Barde Haut 2020
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Barde Haut:

The 2020 Barde-Haut clearly benefited from its limestone soils in this vintage. Picked September 21–30 at 42hl/ha, it does not disguise its opulent nose and displays more blue fruit than some of its peers, gaining purity with aeration and delivering macerated black cherries, loganberry, crushed violet and very subtle hints of fresh fig. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that disguise the structure of this Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. It has the same harmony and detail as its stablemate, but there is more depth and length toward the finish, which shows real panache. Gorgeous.
