94 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau d Armailhac 2019 PauillacJames Suckling über den Chateau d Armailhac 2019 Pauillac:

A solid, linear red with a beautiful core of fruit and firm tannins, showing blackcurrants and finesse. Full and compact. It’s very fresh and aromatic with violets and hints of spices. Clean and vivid at the end, 62% cabernet sauvignon, 27% merlot, 9% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot. Try after 2025.

93 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau d Armailhac 2019 PauillacWilliam Kelley im April 2022:

More classically proportioned than the exuberant 2018, the 2019 D'Armailhac wafts from the glass with aromas of violets, blackberries and cassis complemented by subtle hints of licorice, sweet soil tones and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and perfumed, it's fleshy and enveloping, with an ample core of succulent fruit and beautifully polished, powdery tannins.

BEST EVER!

Based on 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, the 2019 Château D'Armailhac showed beautifully from barrel two years ago, and it doesn’t disappoint now from bottle. Despite the high Merlot content, it has a firmer, focused, youthful style that's going to benefit from short-term cellaring. Giving up plenty of ripe black cherry, mulberries, and cassis-like fruit as well as textbook Pauillac lead pencil, forest floor, and tobacco, it's medium to full-bodied, has good mid-palate density, subtle background oak, ripe yet building tannins, and a great finish. It shows the vintage's more elegant, classic style yet doesn't lack for concentration or length. It's going to benefit from just 3-4 years of bottle age and drink fabulously well for two decades. It's the finest d’Armailhac I've tasted.

94 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau d Armailhac 2019 PauillacFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth denChateau d Armailhac 2019 Pauillac:

Features a racy, chalky minerality that runs amid a core of steeped plum and black currant fruit, with lively cedar, black tea and savory nuance all around. Sneaky long too, thanks to its mineral thread. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2024 through 2040.

95 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau d Armailhac 2019 PauillacDer Chateau d Armailhac 2019 Pauillac am Gaumen der Falstaff-Verköstiger:

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Feine Kräuterwürze, ein Hauch von Edelholz, reife Herzkirschen, zart mit Cassis unterlegt, tabakige Nuancen und kandierte Orangenzesten im Hintergrund. Komplex, engmaschig, frisch strukturiert, schwarze Waldbeeren, prsäente intrgrierte Tannine, salzig-mineralischer Abgang, gutes Reifepotenzial.

Chateau Montrose 2014 mit 95 Punkten im WinespectatorWinespectator Insider 04.01.2017 für den 2014er Chateau Montrose

This is seriously built. with an admirable core of red and black currant paste and bitter plum fruit inlaid with notes of tobacco. bay and smoldering charcoal. The finish is ramrod straight thanks to an iron girder supporting everything with ease. A tremendous effort for the vintage. Best from 2020 through 2035. From France .—J.M.

Chateau Montrose 2014 mit 97 Punkten bei Sucklingfür den 2014er Chateau Montrose - 13.02.2017

Incredible aromas of currants. blackberries. slate and flowers. Full-bodied yet so tight and beautiful with superb polish and brightness. The length is fantastic. Truly superb. Drink in 2021.

Chateau Montrose 2014 mit 96 Punkten bei Parkerfür den Chateau Montrose 2014 | Neal Martin März 2017:

Tasted twice in Bordeaux in the early part of 2017. the 2014 Montrose replicated its showing at the property as part of the vertical in September 2016. It has that exquisite blackberry. cedar and blood orange scented nose that feels so effervescent even at this early stage. The palate is beautifully balanced with crisp. tensile black fruit. filigree tannin. perhaps in recent months developing a little more spiciness on the finish. It is just a beautiful. regal and complete Montrose that will give decades of drinking pleasure. Tasted February 2017.

Tasted at the château. the 2014 Montrose builds on the promise it showed in barrel with gorgeous blackberry. raspberry. cedar and orange sorbet scents that are extremely pure and refined. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. very precise acidity and layers of crisp black fruit laced with vanilla from the new oak at the moment. That will be subsumed in time. What you have here is a very precise. multi-layered. almost sensual Montrose that is going to delight many for years to come. This is highly recommended—one of the finest Left Bank wines this vintage. Tasted September 2016.

95 Suckling Punkte für den Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru ClasseJames Suckling über den Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru Classe:

This is a fine-tannined and racy young wine with blackberry, blackcurrant and light mint aromas that follow through to a full to medium body with long, polished tannins and a persistent finish. A classic and classy young wine. 74% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 1% petit verdot. Drink after 2025.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru ClasseAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru Classe:

The 2019 Batailley has come together beautifully with élevage. There is plenty of power and intensity, but also a greater degree of finesse than in the past. Black cherry, licorice, leather, smoke and spice lend a good deal of gravitas. I would give the 2019 a few years to come together.

95 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru ClasseUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru Classe:

The 2019 Batailley has an intense bouquet of blackberry, graphite and light tobacco scents, the latter less pronounced than out of barrel. This feels supremely well-defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins and pure black fruit laced with cracked black pepper and graphite, leading to a complex and quite prolonged finish. One of the best Batailleys, maybe the best, in recent years, and a strong follow-up to their splendid 2018. Highly recommended and still one of the best values in Pauillac.

93 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru ClasseFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth denChâteau Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru Classe:

Delivers a nice gush of warmed plum and blackberry preserve flavors, enlivened with hints of anise, apple wood and dark tobacco. Features a hint of sweet bay leaf through the finish, which has a lush feel despite a buried cast iron note. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2023 through 2038. 25,000 cases made.

94 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru ClasseDer Château Batailley 2019 Pauillac Grand Cru Classe am Gaumen der Falstaff-Verköstiger:

Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Feiner Edelholztouch, etwas Kirschen und Nougat, ein Hauch von Vanille, reife Brombeeren, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, elegant, feine Fruchtsüße, reife Tannine, frisch strukturiert, mineralisch, schokoladig im Abgang, zeigt gute Länge, sehr gutes Entwicklungspotenzial.
