Den Clos L Eglise 2022 Pomerol beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
Offering up aromas of sweet cherries, berries, spices and new oak, the 2022 Clos l'Eglise is medium to full-bodied, broad and layered, with a velvety attack that segues into a vibrant, rather structured mid-palate, concluding with youthfully firm tannins. Incorporating fully 30% Cabernet Franc this year, this is a strong effort, albeit a touch on the liberally extracted side for such a concentrated vintage.
Den Clos L Eglise 2022 Pomerol beschreibt James Suckling wie folgt:
Vibrant structure with lots of energy, with blackberry, hazelnut, coffee and walnut aromas and flavors. So vibrant. Rich and layered. Yet remains bright.

From an incredible terroir in the heart of Pomerol (just across the street from L'Eglise Clinet), the 2022 Clos L'Eglise includes slightly less Merlot than usual and is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. It has a ripe, sexy, full-bodied profile as well ample red, blue, and black fruits, notes of graphite, chalky minerality, and chocolate, ripe, velvety tannins, terrific purity, and a great finish. This classic, opulent, sexy Pomerol is going to drink nicely with just a few years of bottle age yet should evolve for two decades.

Deeply colored, the wine is floral, with chocolate, plum, licorice, smoke, and truffle accents. The wine is deep, concentrated, opulent, and sexy. Picture molten dark chocolate-coated, black plums coating your palate with lingering fruits, and a touch salt that slides in at the end of the long, finish. This is a new level of quality for Clos L'Eglise! The harvest took place September 9 - September 29. The wine blends 70% Merlot with 30% Cabernet Franc, making this the highest percentage of Cabernet Franc ever used in the blend. 15% ABV 3.75 pH. Drink from 2027-2050.
