Chateau Margaux 2015 der Wein des Jahrgangs mit 100 Punkten bei James Sucklinger bewertet den Chateau Margaux 2015 am 02.02.2018 wie folgt:

This is a haunting young wine that shows you a subtle and hidden strength on the nose with rose petals. currants. currant leaves. stones and plums.
Wonderful ripeness yet brightness. too. Takes your breath away with the intensity and structure.
Full-bodied. powerful and muscular. yet there's an agile undertone to the whole thing. Compact and condensed.
A new legend for Margaux. The 1961 that didn’t happen. Try in 2024.

Chateau Margaux 2015 mit 99 Parker PunktenLisa Perrotti Brown bewertet den Chateau Margaux 2015 am 21.02.2018 wie folgt:

The 2015 Chateau Margaux is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon. 8% Merlot. 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Medium garnet-purple colored. the nose features oh-so-seductive notes of warm blackberries. cassis and black forest cake with touches of forest floor. sandalwood. anise and cigar boxes plus a waft of lavender. Medium to full-bodied. it delivers taut. muscular. densely packed black fruits and exotic spice flavor layers supported by a very firm backbone of grainy tannins with oodles of freshness and a long. savory finish. It is tightly knit and a little reticent at this very youthful stage; afford it at least 15 years in the cellar. and it will open out into a classic Chateau Margaux of incredible proportions. Readers may be interested to know that this wine is beautifully packaged in a special commemorative bottle honoring winemaker Paul Pontellier. who passed away in 2016. The gold-etched black bottle bears the message. “Hommage à Paul Pontellier” at the bottom. This 2015 is an achingly beautiful swan song from an incredibly gifted winemaker. taken from us too soon. In my view. this alone makes this vintage more than worth the investment for the many lovers of history in a bottle.

Chateau Margaux aus dem Jahrgang 2015 mit 99 Punkten bei VinousAntonio Galloni bewertet den Chateau Margaux 2015 im Februar 2018 wie folgt:

The 2015 Margaux is a compelling. arrestingly beautiful wine that expresses all the best qualities of the vintage. Dark. fleshy and richly textured. the 2015 nevertheless retains the super-classic Margaux sense of structure. Time in the glass brings out the wine's rich. multi-faceted personality. I imagine the 2015 will enjoy a very long and uninterrupted drinking window that will last decades. As exceptional as the 2015. it is not easy to taste. I walked the vineyards at Margaux with Paul Pontallier in late July of that year. A few months later. Pontallier's life was tragically cut short by a very aggressive cancer. The 2015 will live on as a fitting testament to the legacy of a man who did so much for Chateau Margaux and Bordeaux.

100 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux William Kelley im April 2022:

Is the 2019 Château Margaux the wine of the vintage? A strong case in its favor could certainly be made. Soaring from the glass with aromas of blackberries, raspberries, rose petals, violets, pencil shavings and vine smoke, it's full-bodied, layered and sensual, with a strikingly vibrant core of fruit that's framed by ripe, powdery tannins and bright acids, concluding with a penetrating, mouthwateringly saline finish of almost interminable duration. Complex, elegant and utterly compelling, this is a brilliant Bordeaux that anyone with the requisite disposable income is going to want to own.

100 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxJames Suckling über den Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

18 Jan, 2022 – Amazing aromas of crushed stones and wet soil with fresh mushrooms, then going on to violets and other flowers. Dark fruit, too. Full-bodied, yet agile and fine, with a linear flow of tannins that run through the center of palate. The finesse of the tannins is exceptional, like raw silk and changing all the time. Cool and energetic, yet reserved. Zen-like. 37% of the production and 90% cabernet sauvignon, 7% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot. So well balanced that you can drink it now, but this is one to leave for a decade and more. Ethereal.

99 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

The 2019 Château Margaux possesses off the charts richness to go along with plush contours and mind-blowing balance. All the elements are so wonderfully woven together. It's as if all the Château Margaux signatures are dialed up to eleven, but without losing any of the classic Margaux character. The purity of the red-toned fruit is just breathtaking. The Merlot was picked early, but then rain during harvest delayed the ripening of the Cabernets, which turned out to be a huge advantage.

99 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

The 2019 Château Margaux, bottled in July 2021, is absolutely divine on the nose. It unfurls to reveal exquisitely defined black fruit infused with graphite, Japanese nori and just a hint of potpourri and crushed stone. This is supremely well focused, refined and correct, so much so that you would think it comes from a cooler growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant, filigreed tannins that envelop the senses. Flavors of blackberry and bilberry, tinged with sea salt and black pepper, merge into a slightly more sensual finish that is still quintessentially Margaux. I used the word "effortless" in my note from barrel, and that rings true in bottle, though maybe there is now even more persistence. Quite stunning.

95 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth den Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

Pretty gorgeous, with a cashmere feel right from the get-go as pure, unadulterated cassis, plum reduction and blackberry preserve notes sail through. The finish is laced with alluring red and black tea, violet, incense and savory notes, with a subtle mineral hint lingering to the very end. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2026 through 2038. 10,833 cases made.

99 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxDer Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux am Gaumen der Falstaff-Verköstiger:

Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Einfach delikat. (2030 - 2060)

96 Suckling Punkte für den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxJames Suckling über den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

17 Jan, 2022 – Fresh tobacco, currant and earth, opening up to forest flowers. It’s rich in tannins, but very soft and beautiful. Layered, with lots of fine fruit and a velvety texture. Blackberry and chocolate in the finish too. 27% of the crop and a blend of 76% cabernet sauvignon and 19% merlot, the rest petit verdot and cabernet franc. Delicious already, but give it at least six years of bottle age. Better after 2027.

95 Puntke vom Wine Advocate für den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxWilliam Kelley im April 2022:

Given that Margaux's second wine contains plenty of fruit that made it into the grand vin just a decade or two ago, great things are to be expected from this bottling. Yet I was nonetheless taken aback by the quality of the 2019 Pavillon Rouge. Wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums and cherries mingled with rose petals and sweet spices, it's medium to full-bodied, sensual and concentrated, with beautifully refined tannins, racy acids and a long, penetrating finish. This is an exquisite Pavillon Rouge that is well worth seeking out. I confess that I don't buy many second wines, but I did purchase a case of this, with alacrity, right after tasting it.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

The 2019 Pavillon Rouge is shockingly opulent and creamy. Silky, ripe tannins give the 2019 such a gorgeous sense of immediacy. Succulent red cherry, red plum, spice, new leather and incense are pushed forward. There is terrific energy here and yet the 2019 is already incredibly delicious and approachable.

92 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

The 2019 Pavillon Rouge is certainly more immediate on the nose compared to the sample I tasted chez moi last year. It now bursts from the glass with black fruit and crushed violets, maybe less of the seaweed-like tincture I noticed from barrel, but beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit on the entry, hints of licorice infusing the black fruit, fine salinity, and a well-defined, structured, graphite-tinged finish. It will still require four to five years in bottle but should drink well for 12 to 15 years.

93 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxFür den Wine Spectator verköstigte James Molesworth denPavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux:

Delivers a gorgeous velvety mouthfeel, with cassis, warmed plum and blackberry preserve flavors infused with black tea and incense. Features a fresh minerality that echoes through the suave finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2035. 8,333 cases made.

95 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 MargauxDer Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2019 Margaux am Gaumen der Falstaff-Verköstiger:

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. (2025 - 2040)

92-94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denChateau Margaux 2020
Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2020 Margaux :

The 2020 Pavillon Rouge is composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The alcohol weighs in at 13.6%. Deep purple-black in color, the nose slowly unfurls to reveal gorgeous floral notes of lilacs and red roses, leading to a core of blackcurrant cordial, Morello cherries and minted blackberries, plus wafts of crushed rocks, forest floor and tilled loam. The medium to full-bodied palate is a mouthful of pure vinous seduction, slowly releasing layers of perfumed black fruits and mineral accents within a frame of achingly plush tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length and a whole array of fragrant earth sparks.

96-97 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Margaux 2020
James Suckling schreibt zum Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux 2020 Margaux Folgendes:

Blackberry and graphite with dark fruit and violets on the nose. Very complex. Full-bodied with lovely, fine tannins that are lightly chewy. Extremely long and polished. Really refined. Integrated tannins. Wonderful length.

91-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Margaux 2020
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Margaux:

The 2020 Pavillon Rouge de Château Margaux has an understated nose at first, gradually opening to offer raspberry and wild strawberry and subtle iodine scents in the background, precise but not wishing to create too much of a fuss. The palate is medium-bodied with a pliant opening. There is a discreet lushness conveyed by this Pavillon Rouge. At its core is brambly red fruit laced with white pepper and sour cherry, and just a faint pencil lead and black olive note right on the finish. I suspect that this will be a more approachable Pavillon Rouge compared to the 2018 and 2019, but it will certainly not shortchange anyone in terms of elegance.

Saftig, frische rote Herzkirschen, lebendig strukturiert, mineralisch-zitronig im Ab- gang, salziger Touch, ein eleganter Speisenbegleiter, gutes Entwicklungspotenzial.
