92-94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denChateau Lascombes 2020
Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Lascombes 2020 Margaux :

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Lascombes comes skipping out of the glass with bright, cheery scents of raspberry coulis, blackberry preserves and fresh blackcurrants, plus suggestions of pencil shavings, dried roses and charcuterie with a waft of bouquet garni. The medium to full-bodied palate has great tension and energy, delivering crunchy red and black fruit layers and a firm, grainy frame, finishing long with an herbal lift.

94-95 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Lascombes 2020
James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Lascombes 2020 Margaux Folgendes:

Blackberries and spices, such as cloves and nutmeg, as well as licorice and hints of graphite. It’s full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins, yet they are polished and beautiful. Structured. Solid.

88-90 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Lascombes 2020
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Lascombes:

The 2020 Lascombes has a straightforward, delineated bouquet of gentle red berry fruit laced with Earl Grey and very subtle ash scents. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, fine acidity, cracked black pepper sprinkled over the black fruit and a little bluntness on the finish. I stayed with this sample for an hour to see if it would gain more flesh, but it somehow remains a little austere.

Vom Falstaff-Magazin mit 92-94 Punkten bewertet

Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Ockerrandaufhellung. Attraktive schwarze Waldbeerenfrucht, frische dunkle Kirschen, feine Holznuancen, kandierte Orangenzesten, etwas Nougat. Saftig, elegant, Brombeerfrucht, integrierte Tannine, frisch strukturiert, mineralischer Nachhall, verfügt über Reifepotenzial.

Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau d Arsac 2020 Margaux :

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 D'Arsac gives up notes of ripe raspberries, Bing cherries and fresh blackberries, plus hints of wild thyme and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate offers compellingly pure red berry layers with bright herbal sparks and a soft texture, leading to a refreshing finish.

94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2020 Brane-Cantenac has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of blackberries and crème de cassis mingled with notions of licorice, pencil shavings, violets and subtle hints of smoked meats. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a lavish core of fruit, ripe acids and sweet tannins that assert themselves on the savory finish, it can't quite match the purity and sensuality of the 2019, but it's a strong effort.

98 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux
James Suckling beschreibt ihn im Januar 2023 wie folgt:
Blackberries, plums, currants, tobacco and violets on the nose. Bitter chocolate and mocha, too. It’s refined and focused, with a medium to full body and firm, tightly-knit tannins. Very long, laser-focused and polished. Very classy. Best of the trilogy. Try after 2027.

97 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
97 This estate has been on a roll, and their 2020 Château Brane-Cantenac is another brilliant wine that readers will love. Largely in the mold of the 2019, it has a deep purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, black cherries, freshly sharpened pencils, tobacco, and flowers. This medium to full-bodied, richly textured, concentrated, yet remarkably elegant 2020 has the vintage's fresher, focused, elegant profile but still brings plenty of flesh and opulence. Beautifully done, it’s going to evolve for a solid 30 years in cold cellars and offer incredible pleasure all its life.

Beautiful cassis, smoky oak, graphite, blackberries, and scorched earth notes emerge from the 2020 Château Malescot Saint Exupéry, another incredibly impressive wine from Margaux in the vintage. With medium to full-bodied richness, it has plenty of mid-palate depth, the building, firmer tannins of the vintage, fabulous purity of fruit, and a great finish. Hide bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 15-20 years.

97 Sucklingpunkte für denJames Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Malescot Saint Exupery 2020 Margaux Folgendes:
Lots of blackcurrants and blueberries on the nose, together with walnuts and chocolate. Full-bodied and very layered, with super depth and plushness, offering currant, crushed-stone and bitter-chocolate flavors. Very lush for this wine, but velvety and structured at the same time. Needs four to six years of bottle age. Try after 2027.

93 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau du Tertre 2020 Margaux Den Chateau du Tertre 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
Wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet berries, pencil shavings, warm spices and cocoa powder, the 2020 du Tertre is medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with an elegant, suave profile that belies good depth and concentration. This terroir is never going to produce the most powerful wine in Margaux, and it's the prime example of an estate that gets lost in a mass tasting, but the restructuring of its vineyards, almost complete, is clearly quietly bearing its fruit.

95 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau du Tertre 2020 Margaux
Den Chateau du Tertre 2020 Margaux beschreibt James Suckling wie folgt:
Focused aromas of blackberries and blackcurrants with hints of dark chocolate, mint and graphite. Medium to full body, round and medium velvety tannins. Lovely berry and hazelnut character in the aftertaste. Juicy at the end with clarity. Already so attractive but give it two or three years to come together.

92 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau du Tertre 2020 Margaux Den Chateau du Tertre 2020 Margaux beschreibt Fallstaff wie folgt:
Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, breitere Randaufhellung. Reife rote Waldbeeren, Orangenzesten, ein Hauch von Pflaumen, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, eingelegte Kirschen, angenehme Süße, reife Tannine, mineralisch im Abgang, charmant und entwickelt, vielseitig einsetzbar. (2025–2050)

92 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau du Tertre 2020 MargauxJames Molsworth beschreibt ihn im Januar 2023 wie folgt:
This throws a noticeable savory note out front, along with flashes of lilac and bay leaf in the mix, while the core of gently mulled red and black cherry fruit catches up. The silky finish has a light sanguine echo. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2025 through 2035. 6,000 cases made, 900 cases imported. –JM

94 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
The 2020 Château Marquis D'Alesme Becker showed well, and this tiny Margaux estate continues to producer fabulous wines under the helm of Marjolaine de Coninck. Based on 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, it has a juicy, medium-bodied, round, even sexy style that carries lots of cassis and assorted darker, blue fruits, notes of spicy wood, flowers, and violet, soft tannins, terrific balance, and great finish. Coming from a mix of gravelly, sandy soils and aged in 50% new French oak, this beauty hit 14% natural alcohol (no doubt helped by the large Merlot component) and is going to benefit from just a few years of bottle age. It's going to see its 20th birthday in fine form.

Solidly built, with a singed sandalwood and alder frame holding a core of dark plum and warmed cassis together, while light charcoal, bay leaf and earth details emerge on the finish. A strong showing. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2026 through 2036. –JM

The 2020 Labégorce has turned out nicely, bursting with aromas of cherries, berries and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and ample palate. Fleshy and layered, this contemporary-styled Margaux will drink well young.

93 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
A forward, textured, already delicious wine, the 2020 Château Labégorce offers lots of red and black fruit as well as notes of cedar, smoke tobacco, and chocolate. Based on 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new barrels, it has perfectly integrated oak, ripe, fine-grained tannins, and outstanding overall balance. Give bottles just a year or three and enjoy over the following 10-15 years or more.

92-93 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Labegorce 2020James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Folgendes:
A tight, compact Labégorce with blackcurrant, walnut and some graphite. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a solid core of tannins and fruit. Some lead pencil. Very structured for this estate.

91-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Labegorce 2020Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Labegorce:
The 2020 Labégorce was picked 16 September to 1 October and raised in 40% new oak, the remainder one year old. It has a perfumed bouquet with brambly red fruit, wild strawberry mixed with raspberry preserve and rose petal, hints of orange rind emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, classic in style with a fine bead of acidity that imparts plenty of freshness. More black fruit on the palate compared to the nose with a saline finish, this is a fine Margaux that has a suppleness suggesting it will drink early after bottling.
