93 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 Margaux beschreibt Fallstaff wie folgt:
Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, tiefer Kern, zarte Randaufhellung. (2030–2055)

94 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
The 2020 Château Marquis D'Alesme Becker showed well, and this tiny Margaux estate continues to producer fabulous wines under the helm of Marjolaine de Coninck. Based on 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, it has a juicy, medium-bodied, round, even sexy style that carries lots of cassis and assorted darker, blue fruits, notes of spicy wood, flowers, and violet, soft tannins, terrific balance, and great finish. Coming from a mix of gravelly, sandy soils and aged in 50% new French oak, this beauty hit 14% natural alcohol (no doubt helped by the large Merlot component) and is going to benefit from just a few years of bottle age. It's going to see its 20th birthday in fine form.

93 Punkte vom Wine Spectator für den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 MargauxJames Molsworth beschreibt den Chateau Marquis d Alesme 2020 Margaux wie folgt:
Solidly built, with a singed sandalwood and alder frame holding a core of dark plum and warmed cassis together, while light charcoal, bay leaf and earth details emerge on the finish. A strong showing. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2026 through 2036. –JM

91 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Labegorce 2020 MargauxDen Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2020 Labégorce has turned out nicely, bursting with aromas of cherries, berries and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and ample palate. Fleshy and layered, this contemporary-styled Margaux will drink well young.

93 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
A forward, textured, already delicious wine, the 2020 Château Labégorce offers lots of red and black fruit as well as notes of cedar, smoke tobacco, and chocolate. Based on 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new barrels, it has perfectly integrated oak, ripe, fine-grained tannins, and outstanding overall balance. Give bottles just a year or three and enjoy over the following 10-15 years or more.

92-93 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Labegorce 2020James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Folgendes:
A tight, compact Labégorce with blackcurrant, walnut and some graphite. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a solid core of tannins and fruit. Some lead pencil. Very structured for this estate.

91-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Labegorce 2020Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Labegorce:
The 2020 Labégorce was picked 16 September to 1 October and raised in 40% new oak, the remainder one year old. It has a perfumed bouquet with brambly red fruit, wild strawberry mixed with raspberry preserve and rose petal, hints of orange rind emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, classic in style with a fine bead of acidity that imparts plenty of freshness. More black fruit on the palate compared to the nose with a saline finish, this is a fine Margaux that has a suppleness suggesting it will drink early after bottling.

97+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denDie Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Margaux 2020 Margaux :
The 2020 Château Margaux is a brilliant young wine, unfurling in the glass with aromas of dark berries and cherries mingled with hints of rose petals, iris, burning embers and pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with terrific tension, beautifully refined tannins and a long, penetration finish, this is a vibrant, dynamic Margaux that stands out as the most classically proportioned wine of the 2018, 2019 and 2020 trio.

100 Sucklingpunkte für denJames Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Margaux 2020 Margaux Folgendes:
Gorgeous aromas of dark plums and violets. Orange peel, too. Some crushed stone. Bark. Stems. Iron shavings. Full-bodied, but very tight and compacted. The tannins are all here making it very structured, yet they are polished and melted together. Needs years to show all of its greatness. Incredible polish and structure. More structured than the 2019. Try after 2030 and beyond.

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, tiefer Kern, zarte Randaufhellung. (2025–2060)

97+ Punkte Jeb DunnuckJeb Dunnuck zum Chateau Margaux 2020 Margaux:
As to the Grand Vin, the 2020 Château Margaux is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, pulled from a tiny 36% of the total production, that spent 20 months in new barrels. It has that classic Château Margaux sense of elegance and complexity and offers full-bodied aromas and flavors of ripe currants, blueberries, acacia flowers, crushed stone, and sandalwood that develop with time in the glass. With remarkable purity as well as flawless balance, it's a seriously concentrated, powerful 2020 that still just glides across the palate with no hard edges, silky tannins, and a great finish. I love everything about this wine. It's going to flirt with perfection in 7-8 years and evolve for 50-75 years. It actually reminds me slightly of the 2016.

Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Monbrison 2020 Margaux :

The 2020 Monbrison has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and subtle notes of kirsch, plum preserves and cassis, with supporting wafts of bay leaves, lavender and underbrush. The medium-bodied palate is soft and refreshing, offering a good amount of bright, lively red and black fruits, finishing with a skip in its step.

James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Monbrison 2020 Margaux Folgendes:

Blackberry and tar with some blueberry and violet undertones. Medium-bodied, refined and polished. Firm tannins at the end. Not at the 2019 level, but outstanding.

94+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Cantenac Brown 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Cantenac Brown 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
A fine follow-up to the excellent 2019, the 2020 Cantenac Brown incorporates newly acquired holdings of Cabernet Sauvignon from the plateau of Margaux. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of cherries, cassis, burning embers and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with good depth at the core, supple tannins and terrific purity of fruit. Concluding with a long, penetrating finish, it underlines the fact that this is the appellation's fastest-improving estate.

Plenty of blackberry, spice, iron and crushed lead pencil aromas follow through to a full body with chewy, velvety tannins and a rather cool side to it. Crushed stone and slate undertones. Try after 2026.

96 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Cantenac Brown 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Cantenac Brown 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
The 2020 Château Cantenac Brown showed beautifully and is a serious, concentrated, powerful Margaux that's going to need bottle age. Ripe blackcurrants, toasty oak, ripe tobacco, and dried flower notes all define the aromatics, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a layered, balanced mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. It shows the more focused, slightly understated style of the vintage, yet everything is in the right place, it has terrific purity, and it’s just a brilliant Margaux. I followed this bottle for multiple days, and it never put a foot wrong. It will hit its prime drinking window in 7-8 years and evolve for two decades.

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, tiefer Kern, zarte Randaufhellung. (2025–2050)

Ripe, rounded and suave in feel, with alluring waves of cassis and dark cherry reduction laced with sandalwood, black tea and violet notes. Broad, velvety and perfumed through the finish, with a subtle sanguine hint echoing late. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best from 2028 through 2038. 10,416 cases made. –JM

94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2020 Brane-Cantenac has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of blackberries and crème de cassis mingled with notions of licorice, pencil shavings, violets and subtle hints of smoked meats. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a lavish core of fruit, ripe acids and sweet tannins that assert themselves on the savory finish, it can't quite match the purity and sensuality of the 2019, but it's a strong effort.

Blackberries, plums, currants, tobacco and violets on the nose. Bitter chocolate and mocha, too. It’s refined and focused, with a medium to full body and firm, tightly-knit tannins. Very long, laser-focused and polished. Very classy. Best of the trilogy. Try after 2027.

97 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
97 This estate has been on a roll, and their 2020 Château Brane-Cantenac is another brilliant wine that readers will love. Largely in the mold of the 2019, it has a deep purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, black cherries, freshly sharpened pencils, tobacco, and flowers. This medium to full-bodied, richly textured, concentrated, yet remarkably elegant 2020 has the vintage's fresher, focused, elegant profile but still brings plenty of flesh and opulence. Beautifully done, it’s going to evolve for a solid 30 years in cold cellars and offer incredible pleasure all its life.

Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau d Arsac 2020 Margaux :

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 D'Arsac gives up notes of ripe raspberries, Bing cherries and fresh blackberries, plus hints of wild thyme and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate offers compellingly pure red berry layers with bright herbal sparks and a soft texture, leading to a refreshing finish.
