94 Suckling Punkte für den Haut Bailly II 2019 Pessac LeognanJames Suckling über den Haut Bailly II 2019 Pessac Leognan:

Pine, currant and crushed-stone aromas with some walnuts, berries and orange peel. Full-bodied with round, fine tannins and excellent length. Compact and very fine. Lovely length. Seamless. 60% merlot and 40% cabernet sauvignon. Try from 2025.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Haut Bailly II 2019 Pessac LeognanAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Haut Bailly II 2019 Pessac Leognan:

The 2019 Haut-Bailly II is much more elegant and nuanced than it was from barrel, always a great thing to see. Silky tannins wrap around a core of bright red berry, spice, tobacco, cedar and mint in this gracious, mid-weight second wine from the estate. The 2019 will surely improve in bottle, but it is pretty enticing today.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Haut Bailly II 2019 Pessac LeognanUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Haut Bailly II 2019 Pessac Leognan:

The 2019 Haut-Bailly II, the second wine of Haut-Bailly, has accentuated the sous-bois elements on the nose since bottling, now feeling quintessentially Pessac-Léognan and quite marine-influenced in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, taut and fresh, still a little piquant on the finish but with more precision than I recall. This is very impressive. Excellent.

The 2016 Le C des Carmes Haut-Brion comes from vines located in the clos over towards Martillac, rather than the vines in the original Les Carmes Haut-Brion vineyard in the Bordeaux suburbs, known as "Le Clos des Carmes Haut-Brion" up until the 2013 vintage. It is a blend of 51% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvigon and 1% Petit Verdot, matured in 30% new oak and the remainder one year old barrels. This includes 25% whole berry fruit. It offers plenty of brambly black fruit on the nose, crushed violets, fresh fig and a touch of spice that opens nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, neatly integrated oak, a little plushness on the entry thanks to the Merlot, and then it dovetails into a more structured, gently grippy, chalk-textured finish with attractive black fruit. Give this two or three years in bottle just to shave off a little abrasiveness and you will have a fine Pessac-Léognan.

93 Sucklingpunkte für den Le C des Carmes Haut Brion 2016 Pessac LeognanVerkostungsbericht vom 08. April 2019:
A succulent and savory young wine with fine and polished tannins that start well and finish very long. Medium body with chocolate. hazelnut. plum and wet-leaf flavors. Lasts a long time on the finish. Delicious now. but better after 2021.

95 Suckling Punkte für den Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac LeognanJames Suckling über den Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac Leognan:
Sweet berry, spice, tobacco and dried rose-petal aromas. Full-bodied with beautifully integrated tannins and a creamy, polished texture. Refined and complex. One of the best young bottles ever from here. Better after 2025.

92 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac LeognanAntonio Galloni (Vinous) bewertet den Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac Leognan:
The 2019 Latour-Martillac is quite a bit more rustic and rough around the edges than I recall from the en primeur tastings. Wild cherry, smoke, leather, licorice, tobacco and incense are all jam packed into the wine's mid-weight frame. There is plenty of richness and overall intensity, but the contours are a bit chunky. Tasted two times.

93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac LeognanUnd Neal Martin (Vinous) zum Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac Leognan:
The 2019 Latour-Martillac was a little perplexing from the barrel samples that I received a few months back. Now in bottle, here is the Pessac-Léognan I know, with ample blackberry, cedar, black olive and light marine scents on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, quite fleshy but still nicely structured, and showing fine backbone on the sappy, white-pepper- and sage-tinged finish. Now this is promising.

93 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac LeognanDer Chateau Latour Martillac 2019 Pessac Leognan am Gaumen der Falstaff-Verköstiger:
Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung.
