This steps into an elite league of Pomerol class and concentration. whilst still exuding freshness and transparency. It is a great vintage for Latour à Pomerol. Smells of pristine lightly spiced blueberries and plums and leads to intense flavors of red plums and red cherries cloaked in perfectly integrated spicy oak. Long. regal tannins that are seamless. This is clearly the best Latour à Pomerol for over 30 years.

The fusion of power and sensuality makes for a compelling Pomerol that is going to drink well for several decades. The 2015 has much to say. all it needs is time.

Wow. This is clearly the best Latour à Pomerol for over 30 years. Full and fabulously silky. it shows so much depth of fruit and length. It goes on for minutes. Mostly merlot with a touch of cabernet franc.

The 2015 Latour a Pomerol is a blend of 96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. It has an intense bouquet: black cherries. kirsch. truffle and a subtle sea spray scent that emerges only with aeration in the glass. The palate is very smooth on the entry. This is a refined and composed. almost graceful Latour-à-Pomerol. silky smooth in texture with layers of spicy black fruit fanning out on the finish. It is likely to be the best wine from this estate in several years - one to look out for once in bottle.

Sehr intensives. fast überfruchtiges Bouquet. von Cassis bis dunklen Pflaumen reichend. dahinter eine tolle Merlotwürze zeigend. vermischt mit einer Nuance von Tabak. Im Gaumen geht es gleich weiter so. da ist viel Aromenpower vorhanden. sattes Extrakt. nachhaltiges Finale. Er liegt sehr nahe seinem eigenen 1998er (19/20) und kann in seiner Reife vielleicht sein Nachfolger werden.

The palate is medium to full-bodied. elegant. polished and vivacious with loads of red and black fruit layers and an earthy finish. Around 4.416 cases produced.

The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and very harmonious and refined. The sample at the château showed a touch more backbone than the one at the London UGC tastings. offering plenty of blackberry and black olive notes and then turning saline toward the dense. muscular finish. A classy. sophisticated Clinet that will reward those with the nous to cellar it for several years. Outstanding.

The 2019 Le Gay has an unashamed old school Pomerol bouquet that I like. very terroir driven with loamy black fruit. touches of shaved black truffle and warm gravel. It is not a fruit-forward. sensual Pomerol - this is much more intellectual. like some of the older Le Gay that I tasted during the Robin sisters era. The palate is very well balanced with plenty of red fruit. structured like Le Gay usually is with brown spices and clove towards the persistent finish. It is one of the appelation's most fascinating wines and it should age with style.

The 2018 L'Evangile is composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The Merlot was harvested September 19 to October 2. and the Cabernet Franc was harvested September 25 to October 1. This is the optimal blend - with more Cabernet Franc coming through this year, since it was amazing. Deep garnet-purple colored, it slips seductively out of the glass with glamorous notes of baked black cherries, warm blueberries and raspberry tart plus wafts of kirsch, red roses, rose hip tea, espresso. licorice and sandalwood. Full-bodied. rich. concentrated and delivering opulent black fruit layers, the palate has a firm frame of lovely, ripe, rounded tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant. The 2018 L'evangile is shaping up to be exceptional. Rich and sumptuous in the glass, the 2018 exudes richness in all of its dimensions. Potent and strap in feel. Certan de May shows the more virile side of Pomerol. The profile is decidedly sepia-toned. Readers should plan on being patient with the 2016. It is a jewel of a wine that just needs bottle age to be at its best.

Close to perfection. this extraordinary blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc seems to have hit all the high notes in 2012. Inky ruby/purple with stunning concentration. a multidimensional mouthfeel. skyscraper-like texture and fabulous purity of blue. red and black fruits. this is a tour de force from this estate owned by Christian Moueix. The potential complexity and sheer compelling quality of Hosanna is amazing. Aromatically. this may be the most profound wine of the vintage. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.

The 2019 La Fleur-Pétrus has an entrancing bouquet that demands your attention, delivering a mixture of red and black fruit, licorice, fresh fig and potpourri. The oak here is beautifully integrated. The palate is very harmonious, with ripe, succulent tannins that frame the concentrated black cherry and red plum fruit, and a dash of white pepper and sage, fanning out wonderfully toward the finish. It’s almost like a slightly toned-down version of the Hosanna. This exceeds my expectations. A brilliant Pomerol.

The 2019 Château La Fleur-Pétrus is a stunning example of what makes a great Pomerol – richness without weight, incredible elegance, complexity, and length, all of which it has in abundance. Giving up darker, powerful aromatics of blackcurrants, darker cherries, tobacco, chocolate, and just hints of spring flowers, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a layered, concentrated, incredibly sexy mouthfeel, perfect tannins, and a great finish. It's one of the most opulent, seamless, impressive wines in the vintage, although it needs at least 7-8 years of bottle age. It should be a 30- to 40-year wine. Bravo!

The 2019 La Fleur-Pétrus is pure and total seduction. Trotanoy and perhaps also Hosanna have traditionally been viewed as more exclusive Pomerols in the Moueix portfolio. The more time passes, the less I share that view. Sure, La Fleur-Pétrus does not have the mystique associated from a small single vineyard - as many Pomerols do - and yet there is no denying the elegance and class here. Bright red fleshed fruit, blood orange and exotic spice race across the palate, framed by silky, plush tannins that wrap it all together. La Fleur-Pétrus is fabulous. That's all there is to it.

The 2019 La Fleur-Pétrus dares to outshine Trotanoy this year, wafting from the glass with aromas of rich berry fruit, plum preserve, dark chocolate, cigar box and spices. This is an elegantly muscular, generous Pomerol whose sumptuous personality reflects the warm, dry vintage.
