Die Reben für den Vinosia 2015 Marziacanale DOCG Taurasi stehen im Gebiet der Gemeinden Luogosano in der Provinz Avellino (Kampanien) mit seiner rauhen Berglandschaft. Gelesen wird hier erst Ende Oktober und Anfang Oktober. Und zwar per Hand. Im Keller erfolgt eine rund zweiwöchige Mazeration. Nach der temperaturkontrollierten Gärung und der vollständig durchgeführte Malolaktik erfolgt der Ausbau für etwa 15 Monate in französischer Eiche. Bevor der Vinosia 2015 Marziacanale DOCG Taurasi dann auf den Markt kommt, genießt er eine zweijährige Flaschenreifung.

"Kakao und würzige Noten, verfeinert durch einen Hauch von Zimt. Intensive Noten von roten Beeren am Gaumen, dazu mehr schwarzer Pfeffer und Lakritze. Intensiv und einhüllend mit runden Tanninen und hervorragender Länge." So die Beschreibung des Weingut-Teams um Luciano Ercolino.

Tasca D Almerita Tenuta Regaleali Rosso del Conte 41A Edizione 2016

Ein Wein, der Monica Larner (Wine Advocate) zufolge, die önologische Zukunft Siziliens für immer mitverändert hat

Der Rosso del Conte, so lässt das Weingut verlauten, erstmals kreiert im Jahre 1970, ist der erste Ausdruck großer Qualität und Langlebigkeit, der in Sizilien hergestellt wurde. Entworfen vom Graf Giuseppe, verkörpert er die Charakteristika des Weinguts Regaleali. Seinen Ursprung nimmt er in Perricone und Nero d’Avola und wird im Gobelet-System auf dem Weinberg San Lucio angebaut. Seine Geschichte ist lang und gezeichnet durch stetige Weiterentwicklungen; beispielsweise kamen diverse Ausbautechniken zum Einsatz: Kastanienfässer zwischen 1970 und 1987, Eichenfässer aus Slawonien bis 1992 und anschließend französische Tonneaux und Barriques. Er war der erste Wein in Sizilien, der aus den Trauben einer Einzel-Lage produziert wurde.

The Tasca Conti d'Almerita 2016 Sicilia Contea di Sclafani Rosso del Conte Tenuta Regaleali is an historic estate blend of Nero d'Avola and Perricone, and it is the latest release of a wine that forever changed the enological future of Sicily by pegging it to a quality-driven production philosophy. The wine is darkly saturated and boasts pretty dark garnet concentration. Both grapes impart a lasting Sicilian imprint on the bouquet with those aromas of toasted fennel, pistachio and black olive that are always associated with this school of winemaking. The wine sits tight and long on the palate, thanks to its generous (but not overdone) full-bodied style.

This is a really pretty Sicilian red with dried-cherry, smoke, walnut and mushroom aromas and flavors. The sour-cherry character kicks in at the finish. Drinkable now, but better in two or three years.
