Exhibiting aromas of raspberries and currants mingled with loamy soil and pencil shavings, the 2019 Fourcas-Dupré is medium to full-bodied, with fine depth at the core lively acids, and fine, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chewy finish. This is a very solid effort from this Listrac estate.

Medium to full-bodied. the palate is charged with wonderful energy. featuring bright. black. crunchy fruit and a velvety texture. finishing with fantastic freshness. Nicely done!

The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. fresh acidity. quite sweet towards the pliant finish that feels succulent. Probably early drinking compared to others. though it has the substance to last.

Forget it for a decade and follow it for the next two.

While not the most consistent estate, Chasse-Spleen has it in its grasp to make great wines, and the 2019 is one of them.
