The 2019 Carbonnieux Blanc is bright and exquisitely sculpted. Lemon peel, white pepper, white flowers, mint and crushed rocks are beautifully delineated. Deceptively weightless in feel, this airy, understated white offers notable complexity. I especially like how the 2019 opens with a bit of aeration.

The 2019 Carbonnieux Blanc has developed nicely in barrel, offering orange pith, honeysuckle and jasmine scents, touches of quince and almond coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a zesty entry, fine weight, and some new oak lending sweetness toward the finish. Give this two or three years, as it is an accomplished dry white Pessac.

Has a nice chiseled feel, featuring sea salt, white asparagus and gooseberry notes, with a flash of oyster shell on the finish. This should open up and broaden out with brief cellaring. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Drink now through 2024. 10,333 cases made.

A dense. tight red with creamy texture and dried-pear and apple character. It’s full-bodied. focused and intense. Serious effort. One of the best whites from here.

The 2019 Carbonnieux Blanc was picked from 29 August to 18 September at 42hl/ha and aged in 25% new oak. It has an intense bouquet with lime zest. peach skin and beeswax scents. nicely focused with good attack. The palate is very well balanced with lovely pineapple and orange pith notes on the entry. Very cohesive with a tangy and vigorous finish. Excellent.

Composed of 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Semillon. the 2019 Blanc was harvested from the 29th of August to the 18th of September. Yields were 42 hectoliters per hectare this year. The alcohol came in at 13% with a pH of 3.1. It is aging in French oak barrels. 25% new. with lees stirring for an anticipated 10 months. The nose displays delicate scents of pear tart. fresh yellow apples and honey-drizzled peaches with hints of lemongrass and dill seed. Medium-bodied. the palate is elegantly played with invigorating freshness supporting the stone fruit and citrus flavors. finishing zesty.
