Luis Gutierrez beschreibt den Juan Gil Monastrell 2016 Silver Label Jumilla im April 2019 wie folgt:The 2016 Juan Gil (silver label) is pure Monastrell from old. non-irrigated vines that was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. They had to do a severe selection. as the year was quite challenging (but later 2018 was even a more difficult year); they discarded a lot of grapes. and they told me that they had never sold so much wine in bulk. That seems to have paid off. and the wine is quite harmonious and clean. It has some dusty tannins and an austere profile. The oak is very well integrated. folded into the fruit. 312.000 bottles. It was bottled in June 2018.
