The 2022 Les Grands Chênes exhibits aromas of blueberry, cassis, raspberry and iris. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is elegantly juicy and fresh. It has an integrated oak frame, nice tannins and fresh final. This is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Full-bodied. Layered. Chewy young wine with lots of tannins and juiciness, yet well-integrated. Polished

Black and red fruits with nuances of tobacco leaf, and espresso beans open the wine. On the palate, the wine is ripe, sweet, round, and forward, finishing with sweet, cherries, toasty oak, and chalky tannins on the backend. The wine blends 60% Merlot with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2025-2038.

92 / 100
Controlled and quite serious, the lively red and black fruit is ripe and just shy of plump giving some bounce to the palate but overall this stays quite lean and serious, all in one line, with the tannins giving the main focus and density in the mouth. Well worked, nice detail and purity to the fruit but on the bold side, still young and closed but great fruitiness and will be enjoyable in time. Good acidity too and some minty graphite minerality as well. Rolland & Associés consultants.
