Dunkle fruchtige Nase mit reifen dunklen Beeren etwas Schokotouch, die Würze vom Holz ist sehr schön wahrzunehmen. Im Mund mit gewisser Auftaktsüsse, recht kraftvoll und straff. 90-92+ Punkte
William Kelley im April 2022: Aromas of sweet cherries, berry preserves and Black Forest cake, framed by a lavish application of creamy new oak, introduce the 2021 Fombrauge, a medium to full-bodied, broad and textural wine that's supple and fleshy, with a rich core of sweet fruit and lively balancing acids. As usual, this is a generous, front-loaded, somewhat confectionary Saint-Émilion from Bernard Magrez, though it's well made in its style.
James Suckling im Mai 2022: Tiny production here, because of frost in May, but the wine came out nice and clean, with pretty balance and mouth-feel and plenty of dark fruit and spices. Slightly dry on the finish now, but should come around nicely with the elevage.
