Chateau Gloria 2021 Saint Julien
weiteres von

Charming and extroverted, the 2021 Gloria bursts with aromas of cassis, cherries, sweet berries, fresh mint and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's a lively, seamless wine that wears its heart on its sleeve. This blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc seems likely to emerge as a sleeper of the vintage. Tasted four times.

Fresh, bright and savory, the red fruits here are soft, sweet and lifted. Medium-bodied, early drinking, bright and crisp, there is an herbal, olive and espresso edge to the soft, polished red fruits that you find in the end notes. The wine blends 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2024-2036.

I like the firmness and polish to this, with medium body, creamy tannins and a delicious finish. Racy and refined.

The 2021 Château Gloria offers up medium-bodied aromas and flavors and darker, almost cassis-like fruits as well as leather, toasted spice, and background oak. A blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it has good concentration, the vintage's pretty, elegant, balanced style, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
