Sangiovese geh\u00f6rt f\u00fcr mich zu den spannendsten Rebsorten: Sie schafft es, Tiefe und Frische zu vereinen, ohne dabei an Eleganz zu verlieren. Diese Balance war f\u00fcr mich beim <\/span>Le Sentinelle Morellino di Scansano Riserva 2021<\/strong><\/span> von der <\/span>Fattoria Mantellassi<\/strong><\/a><\/span> besonders sp\u00fcrbar \u2013 ein Wein, der Kraft zeigt und trotzdem eine lebendige Leichtigkeit bewahrt. Perfekt f\u00fcr einen Abend, an dem man die Toskana nicht nur im Glas, sondern fast auch in der Stimmung wiederfindet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Der Wein im Glas<\/span><\/h3>\n

Schon beim Einschenken zeigt er sich in tiefem Rubinrot mit purpurnen Reflexen. In der Nase entfalten sich dichte Aromen von Brombeere, Schwarzkirsche und einem Hauch Preiselbeere, begleitet von schwarzem Pfeffer, getrockneten Kr\u00e4utern und feiner Zedernholznote.<\/span><\/p>\n

Am Gaumen verbindet er satte dunkle Frucht und mineralische Tiefe mit einer lebendigen S\u00e4ure. Eine subtile Eisen-Note verleiht zus\u00e4tzliche Komplexit\u00e4t. Die reifen, feink\u00f6rnigen Tannine geben Struktur, ohne zu beschweren, und f\u00fchren in einen langen, eleganten Abgang, in dem Frucht und W\u00fcrze nachhallen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ein Wein mit Herkunft<\/span><\/h3>\n

Der Name \u201eLe Sentinelle\u201c steht nicht nur f\u00fcr diesen Wein, sondern auch f\u00fcr den kleinen, ertragsarmen Weinberg, von dem er stammt. Nur 2,5 ha gro\u00df, gelegen auf kalkreichem Tuffstein, bepflanzt mit einer autochthonen Morellino-Sangiovese-Variante, die eigens selektioniert und in Italien offiziell anerkannt wurde. 85 % Sangiovese, 15 % Alicante \u2013 ausgebaut 20 Monate in franz\u00f6sischen Barriques, danach noch Monate der Flaschenreife. Alles mit dem Ziel, einen Morellino zu schaffen, der Kraft und Eleganz verbindet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Der <\/span>Le Sentinelle Riserva 2021<\/strong><\/span> zeigt genau das, was ich an Sangiovese so sch\u00e4tze: Tiefe, getragen von Frische. Ein Wein mit Seele, der nicht nur zu Wildragout oder gereiftem Pecorino passt, sondern auch zu einem Abend, an dem man sich ein St\u00fcck Toskana ins Glas holen m\u00f6chte.<\/span><\/p>\n

F\u00fcr mich war er ein Highlight meines letzten Toskana-Aufenthalts \u2013 ein Wein, der das Urlaubsgef\u00fchl vom Abend auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf die H\u00fcgel noch einmal ins Glas brachte.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ein echter Botschafter des Morellino \u2013 und ein Wein, der die Erinnerung an warme H\u00fcgel und toskanisches Lebensgef\u00fchl lebendig macht.<\/span><\/p>\n
