Almaviva 2017 – das steckt dahinter<\/h2>\n

Die Grundlage f\u00fcr den Almaviva 2017 bildet die 1997 beschlossene Zusammenarbeit zwischen Philippe de Rothschild und der Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro.\u00a0 Das Ziel war es selbstverst\u00e4ndlich, einen au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen franz\u00f6sisch-chilenischen Wein zu erschaffen. Ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter erblickte der Almaviva dann das Licht der Welt – und fand international direkt gro\u00dfe Beachtung.<\/p>\n

Um die Zusammenarbeit auf Augenh\u00f6he zu visualisieren, finden sich zwei markante Elemente auf dem Etikett. Der Name Almaviva entstammt dem ber\u00fchmten Werk ‚Die Hochzeit des Figaro‘ (Le nozze di Figaro), bei der Graf Almaviva der Held der Show ist. Das Label wiederum ist eine Hommage an die Geschichte Chiles. Man sieht die Zeremonien-Trommeln (Kultrun), wie sie bei den Mapuche-Indianern Chiles verwendet werden.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Almaviva 2017 – Terroir am Limit<\/h3>\n

Almaviva liegt in Puente Alto, im h\u00f6chsten Teil des Maipo Valleys. Hier herrschen ideale Bedingungen f\u00fcr ein einzigartiges Terroir. Der Cabernet Sauvignon kann so zu optimaler Reife und zu hohen Extraktwerten gelangen. 60 Hektar wurden bei Beginn der Zusammenarbeit exklusiv f\u00fcr Almaviva reserviert. Besonders markant sind hier unter anderem die felsigen, kargen B\u00f6den mit ihrer Lehm-Kies-Auflage. Sie besitzen eine f\u00fcr den anspruchsvollen Weinbau so wichtige gute Drainagewirkung. Auch eine pr\u00e4sente Mineralit\u00e4t bereichert den sp\u00e4teren Wein. Und letztlich unterst\u00fctzt auch der niedrige pH-Wert der alluvialen B\u00f6den die au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Qualit\u00e4t und Ausgewogenheit des Almaviva.<\/p>\n

Die hochgelegenen Rebfl\u00e4chen erfahren hier eine enorme Bandbreite bei den Temperaturen zwischen Tag- und Nachtwechseln – vor allem w\u00e4hrend der so wichtigen Reifezeit der Trauben. Frische Winde wirken dabei dem grunds\u00e4tzlich mediterranen Klima Chiles entgegen. Das regt die nat\u00fcrlichen Enzyme in den Beeren dazu an, komplexe Aromen auszubilden. Auch das unterst\u00fctzende S\u00e4ureger\u00fcst wird so besser bewahrt und der Almaviva wird farbdichter. Zur weiteren Bereicherung werden auch kleinere Mengen an Carm\u00e9n\u00e8re, Cabernet Franc, Merlot und Petit Verdot angebaut. Als Assemblage entsteht dank der wohl\u00fcberlegten, sensiblen Arbeit der Winzer ein kraftvoller und einzigartiger Wein, der das Beste aus zwei Welten vereint.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
