Verite La Joie 2016 – Stimme des Terroirs<\/h2>\n

Der Verite La Joie 2016 stammt vom Weingut Verite, das von Jess Jackson in Kooperation mit Pierre Seillan aus dem Bordeaux gegr\u00fcndet wurde. Heute bringt es mit dem La Joie, dem Le Desir und dem La Muse drei der atemberaubendsten Weine aus dem kalifornischen Sonoma County hervor. Das ist nur m\u00f6glich dank der Hinwendung zu bedingungsloser Qualit\u00e4t und einer einzigartigen Widerspiegelung des Terroirs und der Jahrg\u00e4nge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pierre Seillan kann dabei auf ganze 50 einzigartige Terroirs bzw. von ihnen Mikro-Crus genannt, zur\u00fcckgreifen, verteilt auf vier Appellationen. In all seiner Konsequenz achtet das Winzerteam dann auch darauf, jede dieser Kleinstlagen separat zu ernten, zu verg\u00e4ren und anschlie\u00dfend in franz\u00f6sischen Eichenf\u00e4ssern mit jeweils unterschiedlichem Toastinggrad auszubauen. So passt Seillan seine Weinbereitungstechniken und die Reifung sorgf\u00e4ltig an die Pers\u00f6nlichkeit jeder Charge an. Das ist eine kaum fassbare Sisyphusarbeit. So k\u00f6nnen die Weine aber eben auch eine unglaubliche Komplexit\u00e4t entwickeln und bieten einen atemberaubenden Finessenreichtum.<\/p>\n

Passend dazu sagt der ber\u00fchmte Winemaker \u00fcber sich: „Ich bin ein Diener des Bodens. Meine Aufgabe ist es, zuzuh\u00f6ren und die uneingeschr\u00e4nkte Stimme des Terroirs zu vermitteln. In diesem Zusammenhang spricht er auch vom „Recht des Bodens“. Die Weine von Verite sollen demnach die uneingeschr\u00e4nkte Stimme des Terroirs ausdr\u00fccken.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sonoma County – ideale Vorz\u00fcge f\u00fcr gro\u00dfe Weine<\/h3>\n

Jackson und Seillan w\u00e4hlten das kalifornische Sonoma County als idealen Standort f\u00fcr die Weinberge von Verite. Die Weinberge befinden sich in den Appellationen Bennett Valley, Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill und Knights Valley.<\/p>\n

Das Sonoma County ist eines der vielf\u00e4ltigsten Weinbauregionen der Erde. St\u00e4rker noch als im benachbarten Napa Valley ist hier der Einfluss des Pazifiks sp\u00fcrbar. So k\u00f6nnen in den \u00f6stlichen Lagen dank des warmen, trockenen Klimas ideal die klassischen Bordeaux-Sorten wie Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot und Cabernet Franc kultiviert werden. Das Klima ist hier einerseits warm genug, um die roten Rebsorten vollst\u00e4ndig zur Reife zu bringen. Andererseits sorgen k\u00fchlende Winde vom Pazifik aber auch f\u00fcr das Bewahren der S\u00e4ure in den Beeren. Das verleiht den kraftvollen Weinen eine belebende Frische und unterst\u00fctzt zugleich das Reifefenster.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Verite La Joie 2016 – ein Bericht<\/h4>\n

Im Juli noch von gewissen Hitzeperioden geplagt, pendelten sich die Temperaturen w\u00e4hrend der Reifephase dann sehr gut ein. In Verbindung mit ein paar k\u00fchleren Augusttagen erm\u00f6glichte dies eine langsame, ausgedehnte Entwicklung der Trauben. Die hochklassige physiologische Reife des Leseguts zeichnete sich f\u00fcr den Verite La Joie 2016 daher auch durch moderate Alkoholwerte und einer stabilen S\u00e4urestruktur aus.<\/p>\n

Der Verite La Joie 2016 ist ein hervorragender Wein, der sich aus 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot und 5% Petit Verdot zusammensetzt. Die Cabernet-Anteile entstammen den steilen, von Vulkanstein gepr\u00e4gten H\u00e4ngen der ber\u00fchmten Mayacamas-Berge.<\/p>\n

Der Wein ist ein gnadenloser Vollblut-Cabernet – \u00fcberschw\u00e4nglich und voller Energie, die er auch ohne zu z\u00f6gern im Glas pr\u00e4sentiert. Man erkennt kraftvolle Aromen von roten Johannisbeeren, konzentrierten roten Pflaumen und frischem Granatapfel. Dazu entfalten sich Eindr\u00fccke nach frischer Minze, Salbei und getrockneten Nelken. Am Gaumen kommen die zu erwartenden schwarzen Johannisbeeren mit einer unbeugsamen Kraft daher. Sie werden noch unterst\u00fctzt von warmen Himbeerkompottaromen. Auch hier werden die Eindr\u00fccke noch mehr in die Breite gezogen, wenn man in Nase und Mund an frische Tannennadeln, Rhabarber, und Lorbeerbl\u00e4tter erinnert wird. Das muskul\u00f6se aber zugleich auch reife Tanninger\u00fcst erh\u00e4lt durch zart erdige T\u00f6ne im endlos langen Abgang noch mehr Unterbau.<\/p>\n
