Da haben die beiden Granden der Weinwelt Robert Mondavi und Baron Phillipe de Rothschild eine tolle Vision gehabt.<\/p>\n

In Oakville erschufen diese Vision\u00e4re dann schliesslich das Napa Valley Projekt Opus One. Das Logo hat bereits grosse Symbolkraft, die Sihouetten der jeweiligen Partner blicken in Richtung Ihrer Herkunft, um sich praktisch gegenseitig den R\u00fccken zu st\u00e4rken. Zu Beginn der Opus One Geschichte lieferten die Weinberge von Robert Mondavi noch die Frucht f\u00fcr die hier von Cabernet Sauvignon dominierten Bordeauxblend. Heute z\u00e4hlt der Opus One sicherlich zu den bekanntesten Weinen des Napa Valley und die Trauben stammen nun von den eigenen Weinbergen mit so Klangvollen Namen wie „To Kalon“, einer der teuersten Weinberge des gesamten Napa Tals.<\/p>\n

Man kann es als Gl\u00fccksfall bezeichnen, dass das Napa Valley seit gut 10 Jahren einen fantastischen Jahrgang nach dem anderen abliefert, einzig der Jahrgang 2011 stellt eine kleine Verschnaufpause dar. Zeitgleich ist es der Opus One Winery gelungen den Erstwein auf eine neue Stufe zu hieven. Vielleicht ist es der Integration des Zweitweins „Overture“ zu verdanken, dass ein weiterer Schritt nach vorne gelungen ist.<\/p>\n

Lisa Perrotti Brown punktet ebenfalls mit glatten 97+ Parker Punkte und lobt:

Damit reiht er sich in den Club der 97+ Opus One ein und bildet nun mit dem 2015er und dem 2013er ein Dreigestirn an der Spitze.<\/p>\n

James Suckling zieht hohe 99 Punkte und schreibt:

Damit ist er dem perfekten Opus One 2013 ganz dicht auf den Fersen!<\/p>\n
